The kidneys have been on a slow decline over the last 12 years after the first diagnosis,
Dr. lowered the function to severe, sigh,, Kidney school next month!
They don't know why.

Have they said anything about a special diet? The doctors may want you to limit salt, protein and potassium.

Sorry to hear that.
But with Hillary, funny I have just been reading about aging and falling. I have really bad ankles,
and was reading where it is helpful to balance on each foot to try and improve balance and stability.
It can be a disease problem or an aging problem along with sprained ankles. I cannot even stand
on 1 foot a couple of seconds without holding on to a wall, its my horrible flat feet. I hope Hillary
doesn't have a similar issue, its horrible. I never made fun of anyone with health issues, its horrible
for any of us. Hope you find treatment for yours too.

Anon Source: Do you know your most recent numbers for: BUN, Creatinine and eGFR? Those will tell you a lot about how well they are functioning. I tracked those faithfully for my DH and kept a running note book so I could easily compare.

I learned a couple of thing in kidney school, The Drs, have said along the way let's do this or that, see if we see an improvement.
Well in the class,I found that there will be no improvement in kidney function, once you drop to a level you will not recover,
that explains why after surgery or after a med change , I saw no improvement,, So when I was looking for improvement , there was none , I was disappointed In reality they are hoping the slow the decline.
I several way I don't fit, I am not diabetic, I have low blood pressure, My cholesterol is low,
Because of the type of work I do, my Potassium and Magnesium is low,
On the other hand my Creatinine is high, that is because I use a lot of muscle in my work.
Other than being worried a little about this in my head, I don't have any difficulty because of my kidneys.
