All we do is ruin the infrastructure and upward mobility (education).
My upward mobility had zero, zip, nada to do with the taxes paid by the rich. It had a lot to do with my own motivation, sacrifices and living below my means for all my life.

TWIMC, So you have a Master's in French Civ, a teaching certificate in History and have written a book. I suppose you think that everyone else should move to the back of the bus. Sorry, this is an equal opportunity message board and everybody gets his/her say. Has anyone ever suggested to you that you may have control issues?

Wrong about what? I didn't catch Ed questioning your teaching credentials. However, you apparently think that it relates to something. The question is what?
Being like the the dropout he was referring to. And the mainstream spiel is usually right, especially in comparison to the Fox/Rush/ "Economic Research Council" Bullshytte that half the pubs listen to like gospel.

Intesestingly enough, none of this sort of education does a single thing for economic growth, wealth creation, a rising stock market, or job creation.

Move to the back of the bus if you're WRONG. Which we've proven your article most definitely IS. But pubs just move on to the next BS outrage.

Interestingly enough, none of this sort of education does a single thing for economic growth, wealth creation, a rising stock market, or job creation. It sure as hell does absolutely nothing for posting something worthwhile or interesting to read here...just psychobabble ad nauseum and ad infinitum (Latin for boring and tiresome)

Does one have to have a Master's in French Civ in order to make that judgment? That sounds a whole lot like your opinion.

Not sure, but these types with this sort of educational credentials always come off as elitist, sanctimonious, pompous, and of course, they always know what is best for the ignorant masses.
That is my experience anyway.

Truth is boring. Repeating elitist's lies and hating the poor (racism?) is EXCITING!! ;D Any facts or solutions that aren't ALREADY discredited? I didn't think so.

And therein lies the problem. Someone completely unqualified to discuss the issue at hand. A person that can read the story but can't digest the statistical inconsistencies or irrelevancies in what he posts. I'm in favor of teachers and the "weak" degrees [i.e. French Civ] having to take math and finance classes to obtain the degree. Florida Yankee and Karma for turning your life around. [/size]

Thanks for proving my point- you all have that same attitude- the poor are poor because they make poor decisions. SF was poor at 21- boo hoo- am I supposed to be impressed you finally earned something? The majority of the population was poor at 21- question is- were you brought up poor? Did you grow up in a housing project in a crappy school surrounded by uneducated people or have uneducated parents, or a single parent? Sure there are some exceptions, but when a person spends there formative years in a bad situation it takes a toll- likewise- when one is brought up in a middle or upper class environment there is a benefit- although there are exceptions to that as well. What do you think the chances are that Trump's kids were going to end up poor? He made it on his daddy's coattails, as a lot of the wealthy people do. Your attitude is typical of a lot of the wealthy people I know- they all think they did it themselves when a lot of them had it handed to them. They remind me of some of the Ivy Leaguers- generational wealth, family legacy, an ass load of tutors, the best prep schools from pre-school up- they think they did it all themselves too- and quite entitlement minded too I would add.
As for borrowing money from the vultures- people that take advantage of the poor are the lowest scum on the planet-I don't care how lucrative it is. Sure there are idiots paying for toys, but a lot are paying for medicine and a heating bill- you need to take a hard look at your bs stereotypes and find out where you got them. Call me a whiner if you want- I will gladly stand up for the poor- you are just throwing rocks at them. Might be you one day, karma and all, so you might want to lighten up on the vitriol.

Propaganda article, the greedy rich and Voodoo ARE killing us. Not to mention their cowboy chickenhawk (covert?) adventurism that ruins our name in the world.

"I'm in favor of teachers and the "weak" degrees [i.e. French Civ] having to take math and finance classes to obtain the degree." That's what we have now. Math and marketing types with NO ETHICS, understanding of HISTORY, compassion or empathy, just the bottom line.

#81- Both. And in other countries, and in other languages. Europe- and they're better off than us. And Mexico, and they're not. Point is, the group that put out the thread article is one of many that put out Pub misinformation- lies. Mega rich pubs put out a smokescreen- going after illegals- while actually protecting them- no good ID, no effective laws on illegal work. Forever now...

EDM- 90% of Republican voters are misled IMHO- do you have a better word? Hopefully it will sell books I am mad, Pubs are ruining the country imo, and PD's are great people, misled by the flag and the bible, and their worse instincts (racism, xenophobia, envy, greed.) IMHO.

"54 months of job growth followed the 2003 tax cuts." Sounds like the deregulation/Fraud housing bubble. How'd that work out?

Envy and greed - that does not compute - you are the one wanting to tax the rich.

Hello from Warsaw don't take this wrong, but with an advanced degree it seems to me that you could further the debate here by arguing your case by using a higher level of discourse than "pub dupes". I guess that's what they teach in "French Civ", since they clearly don't focus on logic, grammar, spelling or syntax...
