it is also hopelessly narcissistic. it implies that nobody who disagrees with you can THINK. forgive me for saying so, but that is just an arrogant and insulting idea.
There are few reasonable options left for Spygate deniers. At this point anyone still denying that President Obama, the DNC, and team Clinton directed an operation run by John Brennan at CIA, James Clapper at ODNI, James Comey and Andrew McCabe at FBI all of whom coordinated a political spying operation dressed up as a counterintelligence investigation against the Trump campaign is delusional. Anyone still pretending that Robert Mueller has not been utilized to cover it up- again using the cover of an on-going counterintelligence operation is similarly delusional. It's an unprecedented abuse of power, and it happened pretty much according to my hypothesis expressed in the OP. Suggesting that the continued resistance in the face of facts is somehow explainable, or that pointing out that I'm right, and you're wrong is "propaganda" is ridiculous. Every bullshit excuse, every lie, every obfuscation, every bit of rubbish put forth to supposedly 'counter' the growing mountain of evidence for spygate is the work of arrogant narcissists and insults the intelligence of the rest of us. We've proved spygate. We know the crime happened. Now, the job is investigating the crime to hold those responsible accountable. This is where we are now. Holy crap. I just finished watching the second half of the second season of the TV show Girls. There is some serious bat shit crazy in there. Inoculated by that and the surprise white knight ending, I am back here online.
I don't know how anyone can believe what I bolded. Its well known that both the FBI and Obama could have caused some serious hurt to the Trump campaign before the election, simply by revealing suspicions about Russia, etc. I'm sure the conspiracy theorists love the kitchen sink of everyone they don't want to like into the alleged scandal. But they are already in love and enamored with the idea of a government scandal against Trump. They don't need accuracy or truth to believe it. But for those on the fence, and many people who like logic and reality, the kitchen sink approach is a huge tell of over-selling.
Lygate has made the usual mistake of liars who are caught. Too many fantastic details that are not believable. This is really bad poo.

You don't know how anyone could believe it, and yet you believe there's a vast Trump-Russia conspiracy. I have news for you- real news- there's a helluva lot more evidence for spygate than there is for the Russia hoax. I've posted LOTS of it here. The fact that you consciously choose to ignore it explains why you don't understand those of us who've drawn the obvious conclusion.

The only stupid people are those who can't see the plain truth: When you people are done quibbling over Pres. Trump, Pres. Obama, and the dog and pony show on the American news, let's turn our brains back on and get to talking about the real threat to American democracy. The Chinese?

Really, why'd you decide to make up I think there is a "vast" Trump-Russia conspiracy? I do think Russians interfered with the election. I have never expressed that I think it is large let alone vast. What do you want me to say? I have facts for you, real facts versus made up allegations and conclusions?
You can post all your "evidence", but I am not an emotional thinker like those who are going to be swayed by allegations, innuendo, and outright lies. I prefer facts. And since you keep beating the Obama drum, its obvious they are of little concern or importance to you. Choose Trump's lies if you must, but I will not.

No, no I didn't. But you let your anger get the better of you it appears. If you delete your personal attack of me soon, I will delete this post as well. I'm guessing its the bolded that deeply upset you, not the last sentence, but I could be wrong.
You didn't read the article. You revealed you didn't read it. There. Is that more to your liking? What article?
You know that Halper attended a conference held where he worked in Cambridge, England correct? You know its held every year and he almost always attends. You further know that Page is not from England let alone Cambridge and chose to attend. I don't know if the conference is invite only, but I do know Page admitted that the person who invited him was not Halper. Now Page may feel that Halper set him up or some such starting with meeting Halper at this conference, but that does not make it true.
ETA: Is it more to my liking? You think a personal attack is warranted simply because I didn't read a link you posted? WTE?! I expect a good portion of people won't read links I post which is why I post relevant excerpts from the link as well.

Even Trey Gowdy is saying that the use of an informant to look into people with a history of links to Russia was appropriate, and exactly what American citizens should want the FBI to do. Trump is as wrong on this as he is on just about everything else he says. Everybody who tries to back Trump on this is as wrong here as everywhere else.

Back in this parallel universe, where Mueller continues to investigate Russian collusion with the Trump campaign, it appears as though Mueller has branched into investigating whether Trump attempted to obstruct justice.
Apparently, after Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation, Trump refused to talk to him, like a middle school mean girl. Sessions, needing to talk to him about his Muslim travel ban, flew down to Mar a Lago on a pilgrimage to visit the king. Trump agreed to speak to him, but didn't want to talk about the travel ban - he lambasted Sessions for recusing himself from the Mueller investigation, insisting he needed an 'ally' in the investigation, and tried to force Sessions to 'un-recuse' himself. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-asked-sessions-to-retain-control-of-russia-inquiry-after-his-recusal/ar-AAy02kV This hasn't been previously reported, but it's out there now, and apparently, Mueller is investigating it.
I'm not a lawyer, I don't know the legal definition of 'obstruction' nor do I know the usual penalty for it, but this sure has a stink on it.
Quick, figure out how this can be looped back around and blamed on Hillary....

A reminder: theconservativetreehouse.com/2017/03/21/the-washington-dc-uniparty-flak-chaff-and-countermeasures-strategy/Politically speaking, the deployment of countermeasures is a tactic used by professional politicians in Washington DC to counter incoming public inquiry and protect themselves from anger expressed by the electorate. Weaponized government takes action and creates victims. Beyond the strategy – the countermeasures are politicians assigned a role to control the incoming righteous inquiry from voters who find out about the weaponized or corrupt governmental action. 1.) The electorate become aware of a political issue or action; often illegal. 2.) The electorate become angry. 3.) DC needs to protect itself. 4.) Countermeasures are assigned and deployed to delay, obfuscate and create the illusion of investigation of the illegal governmental action. 5.) Electorate watch. 6.) Investigation goes nowhere. 7.) Countermeasure deployment successful. Repeat. Recent examples:

I have done it both ways here- including NYT, WaPo and others- you ignore them all. Ignoring news isn't refuting evidence.

If we are going with alternate reality definitions, I guess Hillary had a minimum of two, one being Julian Assange.

The relevant questions (still not answered yet) are - if Comey and Obama and the Clintons and all of the DOJ were all conspiring to keep Trump out of office, why did Comey announce 10 days before the election that they found more Clinton emails - and why did Comey not announce 10 days before the election that they suspected Russia was meddling in the US election in order to help Trump win? Can the Dark Heart/Black Head DeepThroat conspiracy be so all powerful it they can't even conspire to defeat one of the most blatantly unpopular candidates in our history? Instead, Comey and the FBI pretty much handed the election to Trump on a platter. Why did Obama sit silently in the Oval Office after the FBI had informed him and the Trump campaign about the potential Russian meddling? Seems he could have easily leaked that information (hell, he could have given it to any Trump staffer and it would have been headlining the evening news, based on how easily Trump's admin leaks shit). Instead, this incompetent conspirator said nothing public at all, and Trump got elected. Until you can explain successfully these big plot holes in your elaborately pieced together (but weak) conspiracy plot, it's bullshit, regardless of all the little threads you're trying to combine together into a whole.
Comey has stated outright in his book tour that he thought Hillary's victory was inevitable and that talking about the emails earlier would let the story die and have less effect on her presidency. If Obama had leaked information about the Russia thing, he would also be admitting that he was using the government to spy on an opposition candidate. Remember, at that time, they were saying Trump was a crazy conspiracy theorist for claiming that he was being wiretapped. There would have been a huge backlash if they had admitted such things.

Would any of you been ok if Bush had embedded spies in the Obama campaign? After all, Obama was associated with that domestic terrorist, Alan Ayers. It would have been easy to dig up some rumors and use it as an excuse to get FISA warrants.
Are you going to be ok if Trump embeds spies in the campaign of whoever runs against him? What about Trump manufacturing some rumors to get FISA warrants?

I haven't read the book yet, but I think if he said that its a self-serving cover up. At the time he said he spoke 10 days before the election because he thought the electorate had a right to know *IN CASE* they found something new. They didn't. It inflamed emailgate as any thinking person knew it would, and it turned out for nothing new or actionable. It ended up being a purely political move that probably cost her the election.
Trump's been President now for over 16 months. He still hasn't coughed up any evidence he personally was wiretapped or spied on. I agree the reveal would have inflamed the Trump base, but I expect he would have lost the independents that gave him the victory. MHO. YMMV.

Informant/spy isn't really equivalent to tomato/tomahto. It's more like tomato/apple, still a fruit, but different. A lot of crimes are investigated with an informant. You don't get info on the crime without sending someone in to talk to the suspect.

Cambridge, England is not Trump Tower NYC. I really am amazed his supporters seem to gloss over that important piece of reality.
Here's a definition- em·bed
1.
fix (an object) firmly and deeply in a surrounding mass. "he had an operation to remove a nail embedded in his chest"
synonyms: implant, plant, set, fix, lodge, root, insert, place; More sink, drive, hammer, ram
"rhinestones are then embedded in the leather trim"
2.
attach (a journalist) to a military unit during a conflict. "the CNN correspondent is now embedded with the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation"

Everyone is except President Trump, AgeOfEnlightenmentSCP , Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway. And to clarify, I haven't checked the news in the past five minutes so can't be sure about the last two.

I doubt there were any people working on their campaigns who had previously had close relations with Russians, but if there was anyone who used to work with the Black Panthers, or EarthFirst, you can bet the FBI had informants talking to them.

Repeat. Recent examples: From our actual universe, this is what actually happens:
1) Fox news fixes on a new outrage. GOP congress people play to the cameras with fiery language.
2) GOP congress people rush to form committees to investigate the outrage.
3) Committee kicks the tires and look under the rugs
4) Committee can't find anything they can impeach Obama over
5) Organize a new committee
6) Organize some more committees
7) Make some fiery language for the cameras to play for the base at home
8) After not finding anything worth impeaching (or even convicting anyone) on, let the matter drop
9) FOX finds new outrage, GOP congress people play to the cameras with fiery language - and repeat.
Trey Gowdy's problem is that he launched a crazy number of investigations on Clinton and her private server and found nothing that could be made into a legal case. If he had, and managed to get Clinton indicted for something, he would be the GOP hero.
And now we have a POTUS who uses a completely unsecured phone to launch his tweet storms, so, apparently, electronic security is no longer such a big deal. Imagine that.
I'm not knocking the GOP for this activity - the Dems do the exact same thing, when there is a GOP POTUS. But to imagine Gowdy is purposely failing to find any criminal activity because he's part of some giant plot to - what, I'm not sure - is ludicrous.

I have no doubt Trump will manufacture rumors to try to get FISA warrants.
Trump's team had multiple meetings with foreign agents to help him in his campaign for POTUS, even though that's illegal and unethical - I have no doubt he would do anything that comes to mind to win, regardless of legality or immorality.
Am I ok with it? No, I'm not ok with any of the illegal actions Trump does. Apparently, his supporters think everything he does is peachy, though, so whatever.

He is an expert at 'working the marks'. This includes his rabid supporters of course.

I'm confused. Was there actually someone embedded, or did they just send that one guy to drink with that blabbermouth? No one embedded, that's another Trump hyperbolic 'truth' (which means, a lie).
The DOJ hired an international policy guy (who has spent his career working for Republicans, by the way) to talk to 2 or 3 of the guys who were associated with the Trump campaign but who also had been on the DOJ radar for previous activities working closely with Russia. The guy was not a 'spy' and did not use 'spycraft' to try to break into their laptops or read their mail - he arranged to talk to them for an hour or so, that was it.
I'm 100% certain the DOJ has done this in the past and will do it in the future if they sniff out some campaign worker with a possibly questionable motive for joining the campaign. Just like they compile dossiers on any members of far left, far right, or other types of radical organizations operating in our country, and keep tabs on where they are and what they're doing.
