WE have wxyz standing on the side of the road after his car broke down trying to escape the Houston flood waters, "You recognizing him from his posts, Ask you self should pick him up saving his life or leave him to die?? Would flip him the "Bird" as you drove by!!!!!! I would pick up absolutely anybody on the side of the road trying to escape the flood. The real question is would wxyz get in my car? I was getting ready to post the same thing!
Sure, I'd offer him a ride, but I doubt very much if he would lower himself to accept an offer of assistance from the likes of me.

Being actually helpful to those fleeing a disaster - the nerve of some women!

Oh yes...sorry ....I forgot to add, you can thank me later for helping to keep this board alive via this juicy thread. I notice we are off to a rip roaring start with one post on "Your Money" in the last 9 hours. But...hey...what sort of an idiot would come onto a "money" site to talk about money. And.....I should mention that many portions of my posts and references (oh my god not Mean Girls again) are........SARCASM. Yes, I know another really big word, so let me assist any that need help: "sar·casm ˈsärˌkazəm/ noun noun: sarcasm; plural noun: sarcasms the use of irony to mock or convey contempt. "his voice, hardened by sarcasm, could not hide his resentment" synonyms: derision, mockery, ridicule, scorn, sneering, scoffing; More" Glad to help with driving up the number of clicks on the old YMAM board, by participating in this interesting thread. ..........as usual no more posting on here for me. (until I decide to) (BINGO, Minnesota) You think very highly of yourself, don't you? Sure, you're singlehandedly 'keeping this board alive". Without you, nothing here would be worth reading.

Yes,, this is becoming one of my favorite questions here, Where is your outrage over this people and CO.s that are going to gouge us now?? Instead of who didn't open the doors fast enough to suit you?? CEO obligation=to himself and stockholders. CEO obligation...to make money to make other people money. Religious leader obligation does NOT equal making money for himself and his stockholder. Priests, Rabbis, whatever religious leaders, aren't supposed to make money for me. Religious leaders are supposed to teach us how to serve others. They are supposed to lead by example. Fair enough, may he didn't need to open up the door...but I would expect some other action than prayer. And though I'm a social liberal...I am pretty meh about the behavior of CEOs and business. Because even though I'm in the middle class, I still benefit from CEO/business goals of making money. How well do you think everyone's retirement accounts are going to do if businesses suddenly say "Nay, we don't need to make money anymore. Let's just break even. Or, even better..let's GIVE everyone's money that they've invested in us away!" I think a few people are going to pissed off if a business give away all their invested money while trying to set a good example.

Mean girls taunt not to get the person to go away, but to gain attention for themselves. If we ignore and he goes away, all the fun is gone. At least that is what the handbook says.

Here is another post for you "Ladies". Just to keep the thread alive since you all are doing such a great job of proving and expanding my point about the INTOLERANCE of the Progressive/Socialistic female posters of YMAM, on this thread and many others, and the human pack behavior that happens on this and all internet boards. My posts are not intended for those that are part of this High Tech Digital Lynch Mob, or those participating in the High Tech Digital Stoning, that is occurring here, they are for the lurkers, internet users and any others that might read this site beyond the 20-30, as I said earlier, (if I am allowed to repeat it) regular posters on this board. That should keep the fun going for at least another day or two...so now....as usual no more posting on here for me. (until I decide to) As to the Human Pack behavior I am referencing I refer you to this little "classic experiment". I will give you the Wikipedia version since......well......after all this is the era of the internet and actual journal or other articles have really big words. ( that is why I try to reference movies like "Mean Girls" in posts, since we are.....after all......the modern media generation, and when I try to communicate with a group I try to do it on a level they will understand) I assume most of you will not bother to read, but whether you agree that it is relevant to what is occurring on this thread, it is at least, a very interesting experiment in human pack behavior. "Stanford prison experiment" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_prison_experimentI thought you were done with this thread. This happens so much I get whiplash.

We are also do matches for employee donations as well as a couple million in cash donations. We need to make money, but we also need to be good corporate citizens and not total assholes when presented an obvious opportunity. *TALKING TO YOU TOO JOEL* The most heartbreaking thing from an insurance perspective is the majority of these peoples losses won't be covered - because they didn't buy flood insurance. NFIP needs some serious overhauling. We can pay them for their cars and their roofs, but to rebuild their entire bottom floors if they weren't required to buy for their mortgage? On their own.

Maybe, just maybe, wxyz and oldcoyote will read this commentary. The writer points out all that went wrong with Osteen and the flooding from a religious perspective. A very good read written from a religious perspective. Dear Joel Osteen,AUGUST 31, 2017 / JOHN PAVLOVITZ Dear Joel Osteen, Over the past few days you’ve faced an unrelenting wave of Internet shaming, and you’ve experienced the wrath of millions of people who watched the week unfold and determined they were witnessing in you and your megachurch’s response to the hurricane—everything they believe is wrong about organized Christianity; its self-serving greed, its callousness, its tone-deafness in the face of a hurting multitude, its lack of something that looks like Jesus. They questioned your initial silence and your closed doors. They watched with disdain as local Mosques and furniture stores and Jewish temples and Chabad houses rushed to receive newly homeless victims while you seemingly waited. They shook their heads at the conflicting stories of a flooded church and impassable roads. Complete article here: Dear Joel Osteen,I would post a few more paragraphs but it gets into the field of religion and that would be a violation of policy and would warrant this thread be possibly moved to the Religious/spiritual subjects board. Someone will have to quote this thread as wxyz claims he has me on block. With someone quoting this post, he will see the linked story and will possibly take the time to read it.

Well, I shared a page about an orphanage on FB. My friend is involved with the place, and I'm afraid the hurricane will make it really hard for themselves to raise the money they need, and my garage sale isn't going the greatest. Proceeds from my personal stuff is going to them, but I'll be lucky to hit $20.

OK challenge accepted: Before I start, this is why I dont go onto the political board, it is just mindless, pointless argument back and forth. And much of it is just too easy to refute so it is just a waste of time. I dont have the time to sit on here like Tennesseer all day and put up 23,000 posts while stalking others around the board. John Pavlovitz: In one notable article, he warned women of men who support Donald Trump, saying that Trump supporters don’t care about women and are openly misogynistic. his article “It’s Time We Stopped Calling Donald Trump A Christian,” where he separated Trump from Christianity Pavlovitz alleged that Trump isn’t a real Christian — claiming that everything that Trump stands for (greed, bitterness, etc) are the very things that Christian values are against. he continues to write about the importance of remaining vigilant against a Trump presidency. "You see, it’s not that you’re really pro-life, you’re pro-straight, white, Christian fetuses." —John Pavlovitz Comparing Donald Trump to a bully, John Pavlovitz calls him the Bully Messiah. He states that Trump appeals to fear and intimidation to gain power over minorities and women, groups he perceives as weak. "Maybe the truth is that equality, diversity, justice, and compassion are indeed now solely “Democratic talking points” because you have gone all-in with someone and something that Jesus would rightly be horrified by." —John Pavlovitz "We live in an America where Fox News has brainwashed a portion of the adult population, rendering them fully immune to reason and deathly allergic to factual information. Add to that, a toxic cocktail of Nationalism, contempt for Government, and good old-fashioned bigotry, and some folks are simply impossible to engage in any meaningful and productive way." —John Pavlovitz Even in the early days of the Presidential campaign it was a ludicrous idea: that Donald Trump was now a Christian; that he’d miraculously “found Jesus” right at the time he needed to pull in millions of Evangelical voters." —John Pavlovitz Pavlovitz says that Trump is greedy, self-centered and bitter. He urges people to not acknowledge Trump as a Christian because he stands for the very things that Christianity's values are against. I could go on and on and on...but you get the point. This is a Progressive/socialist politician that (GASP) is making MILLIONS from his books, shows, and media empire (GASP) by claiming to be a "minister" (GASP) but somehow mostly talks about Socialistic politics. He DEFINATELY does not speak from much of a "religious perspective". See how easy it is to be the one that throws the first stone at a "minister". (me doing it in the above paragraph) I just did it above, but actually it is probably about the 1,000,000,000th stone from what I see on the web. In the end this thread, is nothing more than politics and progressive hatred and intolerance. (disguised as or stupidly accepted as feelings and good)
After all.....Kindness is Everything and Love is Love (as long as you agree with me)
Sorry, I had to log back in since I forgot to say......... this is my last post on this topic.
I only skimmed this, but from what I read, I agree with John Pavolvitz 100%.

Cant resist, it is just too easy: I would think that someone that posted all the stuff you did on this thread and on the board in general could afford a little more than......$20. You must feel really good about yourself. You agree 100%...not a surprise at all. DUHHHHHHHHHH Truly my last post on this thread.Well, I'm not worth $40 million, and I was hoping to sell a lot more, but whatever.

wxyz-maybe you should retire like I did 13 years ago. And I am several years younger than you. I planned ahead-sounds like you didn't. I can do what ever I like in my retirement years. And it's 33,000 posts. I worked hard to get to that level.
