The country has not fallen into disarray as widely thought by the board members. The country is now nearing full employment. (Indiana just dropped below 3%) The stock markets are making everyone wealthier. Housing prices are going up at a realistic pace. Interest rates remain low. Corporations are reporting higher sales as well as profits per share. Illegal immigration has dropped to a dribble. There have been no race riots this summer, although police shootings of unarmed people still continues. Why no riots this year? ISIS is on the run in Iraq and Syria Trump has a higher favorable rating than Hillary and she is off the grid lately.
And yet many here act as if the country is falling apart and becoming a fourth world dictatorship.
Now if we can only get some damn Republicans to act as if they were Republicans, we could see even more benefits in the next year.

Do you live in the same country as most of us do or you moved somewhere that we don't know?

While most of the quoted post is silly, the comment about trump's favorable rating over Hillary Clinton is worth noting. As Clinton is not now running for any elected position, it's rather ludicrous to even make such a comparison. How about this comparison of a sitting president against a past president: Poll: More support impeaching Trump than Nixon at start of WatergateImpeaching President Trump is more popular now than impeaching President Richard Nixon was at the start of the Watergate scandal, according to a Monmouth University poll. The poll, released Monday, found 41 percent of Americans support impeachment for Trump. In comparison, 26 percent supported Nixon’s impeachment six months into his second term, as the Watergate scandal was breaking. Poll: More support impeaching Trump than Nixon at start of Watergate
Or this: Poll: Americans split 42%-42% on impeaching Trump Doesn't seem trump is widely liked. And the impeachment numbers are only going to continue going up. trump's continued man-baby performance continues to turn off the American public..

It's not as bad as the MSM makes it out to be......but it's definitely not as good as you state in the OP

The economy is roaring along in anticipation of the Republicans removing business regulations and the hope of tax reform, most of which I am fine with.
My main concern is the health care system. As long as they don't kick a bunch of people off of health insurance, the other stuff is fine with me. My husband's main concern is us starting another war. His thought is if we don't start another war, that will save more lives than the ones that are lost from lack of health care.

There have been no race riots this summer, although police shootings of unarmed people still continues. Why no riots this year? They have moved up an economic bracket and started shooting people whose families have something to lose. If you have something to lose, you don't riot in the streets.

You know, that part that Trump has any direct control over. All of your economic positives are the continuation of a several-year trend. They were not begun under nor are due to Donald Trump. And we are becoming a laughingstock around the world, and particularly among our allies. Most are incredulous at how far we have fallen by any metric of rationality or leadership. That part IS new, and due in large part to Donald Trump. The rule of law means nothing to this president. The good of the American people means nothing to this president.

Employment has been on trend so its unrealistic to put Trump as a reason for when he's been in office.

I'm glad the unemployment rate is so low - it means all the people losing their jobs will be able to find comparable jobs with comparable pay right where they live!

Look at the meltdowns by the Hillary supporters when he was elected. People either voted for him or absolutely hated him. Those that hate him (the ones crying and carrying on when they found out he won) have wanted him impeached from the get go.

If Trump and all his people are truly innocent of any wrong doing related to Russia - his use delay tactics on the investigation is probably not a hood move. If the dems take congress in 2018 and that whole thing is still open, they will be a rabid dog with a bone.

I'm not debating the innocence of Trump or Hillary - just saying that he may have a limited clock to lock this down and move on.

I hate the guy. I wanted him to succeed because I want America to succeed. The only thing he has succeeded in is showing me he is a giant jackass.
I don't want him impeached. It's too divisive. Let him serve out his term and then go away.

I am worried that Pence would enact a bunch of morality laws. I would rather have the chaos with Trump as long as he doesn't invade anyone.

Hoping for him to fail is not in the best interests of the country and I hoped he would rise to the occasion. All he has done is reaffirm that he is way over his head.

In reality Trump, Pence or whoever is POTUS can't enact any laws. Congress writes the laws. Sure he influences them on his agenda. The problem with Trump is his love me fests at our expense. I'd be fine if he stayed in the WH, pen in hand and waited for bills to sign.

I'd be fine if he stayed in the WH, pen in hand and waited for bills to sign. Yes, but Pence is a good leader, he knows how Washington works and his party has control of congress. He could quietly and quickly get all kinds of things through. He could also do executive orders that are based on his moral code. Pence frightens me. Although, after this week, I'm wondering if taking our chances with Pence might not be worse than our current dumpster fire. I will feel a lot better if dems get congress back in 2018. Then we can have some balance, and maybe they will have to work together to get through things that actually make sense. (A girl can dream, can't she?)
