I am worried that Pence would enact a bunch of morality laws. I would rather have the chaos with Trump as long as he doesn't invade anyone. I doubt Pence would be any more successful with morality laws than Trump has been trying to reoeal tbe ACA

And I will use the same arguments that were used against Benghazi. And if a final special counsel report is out and the Democrats attempt to open another investigation and another and another and ... simply because they feel it will hurt President Trump's reelection plans, I will join you in that. The politics game doesn't have to be exactly the same to have the same result.

The politics game doesn't have to be exactly the same to have the same result. If Trump and all his people are truly innocent of any wrong doing related to Russia - his use delay tactics on the investigation is probably not a hood move. If the dems take congress in 2018 and that whole thing is still open, they will be a rabid dog with a bone. And I will use the same arguments that were used against Benghazi. Beyond the initial investigation, Benghazi was only a politics game.

Trump can't repeal the ACA. Clearly. (I think most of us are aware of the procedural mechanisms, Congress passes laws and the President signs them, etc... but Trump himself may be less aware, since repealing the ACA seemed to be the cornerstone of his campaign.) Campaign is over. I'm able to get there.

I just listened to his speech on July 28, 2017. He recounted his electoral vote win, and said it was the biggest electoral college win since Reagan.

He doesn't live in the real world with the rest of us he lives in Trump World where he is King Trump that rules all and believes everything that comes out of his mouth is a fact. The sad thing is that there are still people out there gobble up every Shit Sandwich he feeds them on a daily basis like it is the greatest meal ever.

Let's hope that is not the only thing he is capable of beating GWB in. Talk about a low bar....

I thought he may have been talking about Republicans too - but big Bush wins that pretty handily.
Basically, I won by more than W did. W, ranked one of the worst presidents. I bet Trump can beat him at that too.

It's gonna be an interesting 8 years He fooled everyone once but won't again. That's what was thought about Obama, and his reelection chances for a second term. In 2012 most people were like "Okay, we experimented with Obama... now we know he sucks ass as President. There's no way he'll get elected again"... and then what happened? The voters voted him back in, in spite of knowing what a bad idea it was. ETA: had a brain fart and typed "2013" instead of "2012"... was thinking "2013-2017 term" when I was typing.

I meant for the 2013 term, and so had "2013" in my head when I was typing. Yes... reelected in 2012.

Let's hope that is not the only thing he is capable of beating GWB in. Talk about a low bar.... he can distinguish himself by being the first president in history to be removed from office.

... In 2012 most people were like "Okay, we experimented with Obama... now we know he sucks ass as President. ... In 2012, 6,158,064 people voted for him in the Democratic primaries Democratic Party presidential primaries, 2012. Also in 2012, 65,915,795 voted for him to be president United States presidential election, 2012. Granted some of those people might have been thinking he "sucks ass" while voting for him but I doubt that many were thinkingit. So that is a big chunk of people coming out of your "most people". Perhaps you had the group you hang around in mind when you typed "most"?

Perhaps you had the group you hang around in mind when you typed "most"? No. "Most" was the right word. Even many that voted for him for the second term didn't vote FOR HIM. A large percentage of voters that voted for him voted "for the guy with a D beside his name". You could have put "Bugs Bunny" on the ballot for "Democrat Nominee" and Bugs would have gotten their vote. There were also a lot that voted "for the guy that's not a self proclaimed non-Christian" (remember, Romney is Mormon... and we can't have a non-Christian in there! GASP!).

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't alter my comments in such a way that they don't represent what I actually said. The way you quoted me it COULD look like I was arguing against your numbers (which is not the case), or it COULD look like I was arguing against Obama getting the win (which is also not the case), or it could look like I was saying you don't know what you were thinking (which is also not the case as well). Please fix your quote to accurately reflect the intent of my message. Thank you.

It contained the totality to which I was responding.

I'm glad the unemployment rate is so low - it means all the people losing their jobs will be able to find comparable jobs with comparable pay right where they live!
more importantly, it means that wages might actually keep up with inflation for the forseeable future.

As Trump debases the presidency, the religious right looks awayNo group has been as blindly loyal to President Trump as Christian conservatives. They have not let religion or values get in the way of their support. Consider the “Access Hollywood” tape, the attack on a Gold Star family, a mass of inexplicable ties between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials (and the president’s open invitation to Russia to continue hacking), the firing of the FBI director, the humiliation of evangelical-favorite Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the politicization of the Boy Scouts, the threats to the special counsel and now an interview with Trump’s out-of-control, potty-mouthed communications director. What about Trump, exactly, reflects their values? (Taking Medicaid away from millions and separating families to deport law-abiding immigrants?) The Trump administration is a clown show — but it’s the evangelicals who supplied the tent, the red noses and the floppy shoes. Each day presents a new insult to the office of the presidency and a repudiation of civilized behavior. The Post reports: In an interview with the New Yorker published Thursday, [White House Communications Director Anthony] Scaramucci called [White House Chief of Staff Reince] Priebus a “[f–––ing] paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac” and claimed that the former Republican Party chairman will “be asked to resign very shortly” in a sweep that he warned could eventually involve much of the staff. The New Yorker interview gave voice to the profane intensity of the warring West Wing factions that has defined much of Trump’s early administration — but the level of candor and raging frustration Scaramucci expressed yet again stunned a Washington political class that has become increasingly inured to the unorthodoxy of this White House. And in other White House news, it looks like the Mooch's wife is filing for divorce: Anthony Scaramucci’s Wife Deidre Ball Reportedly Files For DivorceA week after Anthony Scaramucci joined the White House as communications director, his wife, Deidre Ball, has reportedly filed for divorce. Scaramucci’s friends claimed Ball was not happy with him for joining the White House and his “naked political ambition,” reports said.
