I find it amazing how quiet your hero from the East, Elizabeth Warren has basically fallen off the face of the Earth lately. I imagine she is being groomed to run in the next cycle to take out Trump.

uhh Value....there is another line there in the article,,seems important to me..... "President Trump's conservative allies are trying to turn the tables on Democrats and the media over the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election" ------------------------------ hmmmm..."trying...trying...." funny how one word can mean so much.... ------------------------------ "The media and Democrats are fighting back. Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) this week called on the Justice Department's independent watchdog to investigate communications between Trump campaign officials and Russia.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have followed FBI director James Comey in asking the Justice Department to swat down Trump's claim that Obama unilaterally tapped phone lines in Trump Tower.
And when Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on ABC's "This Week" that Trump's claims have "been reported pretty widely by a quite a few outlets," including The New York Times, the BBC and Fox News, anchor George Stephanopoulos shot back.
"I have got to stop you right there," he said. "Every single article you just mentioned does not back up the president's claim that President Obama had him wiretapped. Not a single one of those articles backs that up."

The supposition in the thread title is incorrect and shows a desire to have a worldview contrary to reality. The media, CNN, Fox and say NBC are all in it for themselves and their profits. To the degree they help either political party is largely based on their mission statement and leadership. You do remember that Trump has on his WH team TWO former media folk, who were in very high impactful positions. From Breitbart and Fox. And it seems this WH administration is following the playbooks of all that have gone before them by working with some media outlets, hmm I wonder who ... NOT, and spending effort on planting stories and spin.
The Democratic media, does not exist, except in the limited sense of the DNC advocating for itself. This has been part of my daily dose of truth and reality - Opti (Opti knows optics! )

The popular media is over 80% left leaning. Again, their political leans are unimportant, because AS BUSINESSES, they are mouthpieces for THEIR ORGANIZATION not the DNC, not the RNC, not the liberatarian party, etc. This is the US young Rob Base. We have corporations that run our media. Not the state or government.

I hope the dems don't try and shove her down our throats like they shoved Hillary upon us. Elizabeth Warren would not win. She does not have broad appeal outside the party. I think Trump will be a two term president, unless he drops dead in the next couple of years. Warren did seem to be all the rage a month ago, but I have also noticed that she has somewhat ghosted recently. Fine by me. I hope the dems can find someone likeable.

I do think it's a legitimate question.
If leaks show the Trump campaign had contact with the Russians during the election or after, it does beg the question how or why this intelligence on the Trump campaign came into being. The only logical conclusion is the national security apparatus is spying not only on U.S citizens and but a presidential campaign of a major party.
That does raise some uncomfortable questions, and could be a just as big, if not bigger than collusion with Russians.

It is a very legitimate line of inquiry. Hopefully an independent investigation into the whole situation takes place and action appropriate to the findings is undertaken.

So the only possible way on the planet to get evidence is spying and wire-tapping while the crime is being committed? There is no other way?

It's surreal. These people are really wacka-doodle. Alternative facts, alternative reality, the Tweetosphere...... it is freaking crazy. What they are trying to do willfully though, is overwhelm the legitimate media with so much BS that they have to track down and either substantiate or debunk, that they lose track of the thread of real daily news and information. They are certainly trying to change the narrative- from something the truth to Bizzarro World. How does this rate as "wacka-doodle" (sic), "Bizzarro (sic) World", etc., but the Russian campaign conspiracy rate as sane?

The Russians clearly wanted Trump to win. That is known. WikiLeaks released info to help Trump and hurt Clinton. That is known. Whether or not anybody from the Trump campaign talked to the Russians about the campaign is NOT known, but they did talk to the Russians. WikiLeaks released the info to hurt Ms. Clinton, not necessarily to help Pres. Trump. According to the pollsters it didn't work. And yes I suppose there are the few not-too-distant associates of Pres. Trump's campaign who either spoke in Russia or met with Russian officials as part of their routine duties. Correct me if there's more than this. I'm just not seeing the "crazy chasm" being between this and the allegations of sabotage by the deep state.

You are an optimist! Everyone was so sure that W wouldn't do a second term, and Trump had no path to victory. And both of those happened. I really doubt Trump will get impeached, so if he doesn't die, all of those pissed off people that voted for him the first time will vote for him again. I am telling you - short of a miracle, two terms.

Did you read P&M? I and several others knew Trump had a path to victory. Even Nate Silver knew. Oddsmakers almost always set up the odds to acknowledge this. a 99 to 1 longshot, has a path to victory. Its just not very likely.
I am an Optimist, a historic realist, and interestingly enough my general predictions have been dead on since Trump was elected. For things I expected him to do and some other RL stuff. Remember, the guy who predicted he would win, has stated he does not see him finishing his first term. After him dissing a ex-POTUS on Twitter with no proof, I personally believe Trump has sown the seeds of his own destruction. There are many ways to leave. How it happens? Stay tuned!
People do see this differently, no question. However, I think very few on the right understand how closely I and many centrists and leftists are watching. I *AM* learning about the Art of the Deal TM.
