Saving this here for anyone else who might be interested. I love Siberian Huskies but they are a lot of work and a lifestyle. I know they can be trained to see little things as not prey but owner critters or to be protected by watching Goran videos on YouTube. But you have to get them young and have them be trainable. Add the smaller critters later I think. My critters need to live in harmony so a dog would need to understand the lizard is a brother, or at least a pet of mine. www.animalfoodplanet.com/dog-breeds-that-look-like-huskies/What dog breeds look like huskies? 1. Alaskan Malamute 2. German Shepherd 3. Alaskan Klee Kai 4. Saarloos Wolfdog 5. Canadian Eskimo Dog 6. Tamaskan 7. American Eskimo Dog 8. Icelandic Sheepdog 9. Swedish Vallhund 10. Akita Inu 11. Northern Inuit 12. Finnish Spitz 13. Czechoslovakian Wolfdog 14. Native American Indian Dog (NAID) #3 I have been hearing more about and they lucky are smaller and more portable. #13 sounds interesting and I think is a big dog like the husky. Link has pics and descriptions.

Nice first responder story. Pics at the link. www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/first-responders-adopt-dogs-they-helped-rescue-from-wisconsin-plane-crash/ar-AA14jrDZ?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=f84da7e48c5e4528b63a41f8d2db3ff4First responders who raced to the scene after a plane carrying more than 50 shelter dogs crash-landed onto a Wisconsin golf course this week have helped rescue the pets in more ways than one.
The large twin-engine aircraft, which was transporting the dogs to shelters in southeastern Wisconsin from Louisiana, crashed on the golf course at the Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee on Tuesday.
Three people and 53 dogs on board all survived, with some of the animals suffering minor injuries like bumps and scrapes. The three people were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
In the days following the crash, several first responders who worked the scene have adopted the dogs they helped rescue.
Deputy Chief Tony Wasielewski said Marley jumped into his arms after the crash. The next day, he went to find her at the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, which took in 21 of the dogs involved in the crash.
"When they let her in the door she bypassed my wife, ran to me, jumped kind of into my arms, gave me kisses. I started to tear up a little bit and I said, 'Oh boy, I guess we got a dog,'" Wasielewski told WISN.

Saw this story on Facebook a few months back. Sweet dog story. Whether it was true or not wasn't really important to me. But it turns out, the story is true. Snopes looked into it and verified it as true. Did Negro the Colombian Dog Pay for Cookies with Leaves? This is the true story of a very good boy. A meme shows a dog in Colombia named Negro presenting a clerk with a leaf in exchange for a cookie. On July 17, 2022, the Facebook page The Sized posted a meme that claimed a dog in Colombia named Negro was known for paying for cookies with leaves. We received mail from our readers that asked if this was true. We soon found that the story of the dog was real. The meme said, "After watching customers pay money to buy cookies from a store, a dog in Colombia named Negro started bringing a leaf in his mouth and presenting it to the store attendant. The leaf-cookie exchange has become a daily occurrence for extremely good boy Negro, who is a 'paying' customer just like everybody else." This true story appeared to have first been posted on Twitter on April 16, 2018. The tweet was liked and shared for a total of hundreds of thousands of engagements. The tweet translates to, "He is 'NEGRO' and he likes cookies. He arrives at the school store and as if he were just another student, he asks for a cookie. It is not trusted or given away. Black sees that the students carry bills and receive something in return. He picks up a leaf from the ground and goes to buy his snack." According to The Dodo, the store referenced in the meme was a small shop on the campus of Institución Educativa Técnico Diversificado de Monterrey, which is located in Monterrey, Colombia. Apparently, this tale of man's best friend was once subjected to a bit of misinformation. The La FM Facebook page previously falsely claimed that the story took place in Mexico. Commenters called out La FM for the mistake. This picture of the school was posted on its Facebook page. Rest of article here: Did Negro the Colombian Dog Pay for Cookies with Leaves?

hi friends, have a supply question for y'all. I've shared the link to the salmon oil I've used for my dogs the past few years, in a squeeze bottle. the manufacturer has discontinued it. I'm looking for a new option, but I'm having a hard time finding a similar packaging format. everyone has pumps, and I don't want that. for those of you that used the same oil I did, have you found an acceptable replacement? TIA!

But I have precious kitties, one is on his back all splatted out on my recliner. He was laying in my lap being adorable on his back looking at me with love while I trimmed his claws. He is my baby. The other will be a battle trimming his, but I will make it.
I like dogs but only have kitties at the moment.

Been following the dog and his owner for several years. Sherpa the huskyEDT: every time I type Sherpa, spell check changes it to 'Wheels'. Bizarre.

Cute. Dog refuses new dog beds but gets reunited with his dog bed from puppyhood and takes to it like a duck to water. https://www.tiktok.com/@sejsejlija/video/7194097749569162501 www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/family/dog-s-reaction-to-getting-back-the-bed-he-used-as-a-puppy-is-everything/ar-AA16WGlj?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=8fc19cfbfc0d475dbcd69578ac2004c2Parents love holding onto items from their child's younger years. And after being stuffed in a closet for decades, they'll eventually take it out and share it with their kids. We've been there before! We love it though because it always brings back so many memories.
Believe it or not, dogs seem to remember items from their puppy years as well. At least TikTok user @sejsejlija's Finnish Lapphund did. She adopted her dog named Grim from her friends and recently they brought over his dog bed from his younger years. Grim's reaction is absolutely precious, which is probably why the clip already reached over 2 million views within the first day of being posted.

Rescue of Joey the adult husky. Maybe someone can tag Andi? I think she has that horrible neighbor situation with the dog perhaps similar to this.
