I'm seeing a view blockage issue. The windows in the house with the finger have had lake views blocked by the house the photo is being taken from. That house is newer and they built further to the right(in the photo). Chances are Finger Man pleaded when construction started to consider his views and the builder/owners said FU, we can do what we want.

Actually the house with the finger was built second and was 18 inches higher than the local ordinance allowed. The neighbor forced him to lower it - at great expense. We are seeing one aspect of the remodel.

is this some kind of fucking joke?
one of the great things about being a now ex-Republican is that they still have me on their mailing lists, and probably will for many years to come:
*** Cast your vote to help President Donald Trump replace liberal road blocks in the Senate. Will you support Commentator, Laura Ingraham; Milwaukee Sheriff, David Clarke; or Boston Red Sox Pitcher, Curt Schilling? ***
really?
what the fuck are they talking about?
i SERIOUSLY thought this was some kind of joke.

So, when the Mexicans tunneling under the "Great American Wall", dig past the border, do they then become illegal immigrants, 300 ft. underground? Can we fine their employer's for hiring illegals?

Misleading. American companies do a lot of "processing" in Mexico making their products imports. They can just as easily (and now for the same cost) do it here. I find all the hand-wringing about inflationary effects of a "trade war" amusing from people who didn't and still haven't said BOO about artificially low interest rates propping up the bubble stock market, not to mention QE infinity...

(Satire)TRUMP ENRAGED AS MEXICAN PRESIDENT MEETS WITH MERYL STREEP INSTEADBy Andy Borowitz MEXICO CITY (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump’s personal war with Mexico escalated further on Friday after Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto cancelled his meeting with Trump and scheduled one with Meryl Streep instead. “The American people are a great people, and no one personifies that greatness better than Meryl Streep,” Peña Nieto said in an official statement. The summit with Streep was widely seen as a prelude to Mexico establishing full diplomatic relations with the Academy Award-winning actress. At the White House, Trump’s advisers were reportedly considering a host of retaliatory measures, including Steve Bannon’s proposal that the President of Mexico be told to “shut up.” During his daily press briefing, the White House spokesman Sean Spicer called Peña Nieto’s decision to meet with Streep instead of Trump “absurd.” “President Trump is a much greater American than Meryl Streep and has won way more Oscars than she has, period,” Spicer said. link

Mexico is going to do the same thing to the (roughly equal) US Trade market. what this will do is drive both imports AND exports down, which will result in a net LOSS in US jobs. for a Wharton graduate, this is econ 101 shit. my 16 year old can figure it out. can you?

Therefore, you have a demand for labor in the United States that goes unfulfilled and you have people willing to be hard workers in Mexico. The solution here is also simple. www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/taxes/trump-his-wall-just-a-sign-of-a-greater-problem/growing economies have always depended on imported labor. there are VERY sound reasons for this, which are kindof beyond the scope of discussion on this board. i think what this really comes down to is what kind of economy we want. if we want an economy like Japan's, which has basically been stuck in a 30 year recession, then we should build a wall and forget all about immigration. but i don't think that anyone wants that, so this solution (listed above) or ANY OTHER along those lines does it for me. now, speaking personally, i don't need imported labor. i need highly skilled US folks. but i am in a unique niche.

North Dakota was pretty remote prior to the oil shale boom...yet thousands of Americans went there. I would have no qualms with a guest worker visa program, as long as the workers had a flat 10-15% federal income tax taken out of their wages. Since they send a good amount of their earnings to their home country, I think the U.S. should take a shaving off the top.

How so? You mean the 7.65% SS/Med taxes? That's hardy 15.3%. But even then, how would they pay those taxes if they don't have SS numbers? Oh, that's right, they steal people's identities...yet more crimes committed by illegals.

I imagine many here are shocked that five days in office Trump actually followed through on his rhetoric from the election. It was a darn good start to the four years. I was pleased to see he was not all talk and no action. America finally got what they voted for. A president of action. Just wait until he has Congress actually passing legislation.

... Just wait until he has Congress actually passing legislation. It will be interesting to watch the legislative process over the near future. Will we have equal branches of government doing what they were designed to do or will we see an even greater level of an "Imperial Presidency"? The mid-terms will offer us a good indication of how the American voter feels about whatever is happening.

That's hardy 15.3%. you didn't read what i said, as usual. and it is precisely 15.3%. But even then, how would they pay those taxes if they don't have SS numbers? Oh, that's right, they steal people's identities...yet more crimes committed by illegals. not quite. often they are just random numbers. but i am done talking with you about this and most other things. bye.
