The Politics board was so much more fun and easier four years ago. We had about five Republicans and maybe two Independents who did not favor the election of President Obama. We faced an onslaught of about fifteen devout followers of the Democratic ticket (and one Canadian, who did not count because they were not a citizen) who put us down and accused us of racism and poor losers Today we have just about the same numbers of Democratic backers versus Republicans, and we have lost at least one Independent here to their side also. Although the Republican party won a tremendous victory across the country, even if Hillary won the popular vote, the vitriol we receive from the opposition party is even worse than four years ago Hard to even read the posts any more.....

And, I must say I disagree with the Dezi rule now in effect here. (did I use the correct spelling?)

Are you ready for 4 years of "NO"? We should have it for maybe two years, but we should be able to get the legislation through without too much trouble. Midterm elections could go your way.

Define "your way" if you don't mind! Am I leaning liberal? Hell yeah, but what is one to do when the Republican Party comes up with Trump as a candidate? What sane mind can pick an insane individual, uninstructed in the matter at that, to represent him/her ?
(if you didn't guess it until now, I'll give you a hint: the same political party that want some to take us back to 1950s full package. And it ain't the Democratic one!)
Didn't like much the other choice either but when you are faced with "pick the least bad from two very bad things" what would you do?

When certain people run out of excuses they start with what used to be an insult. Consider the source.

Good man! I shall enjoy watching frustrated politicians over the next 4 years.
As my wife said : "we are white, middle class, alright to do so we'll be fine!" Ive been thinking about it and I concluded she's right! So, January 21st comes around, I'll grab my popcorn and watch things unfolding.
Just for the record: I wish miracles were in fact something real. That way maybe through some miracle, PE Trump becomes this brilliant leader! But that is just me hopping!

me too... though it seems it was a rule in effect that came about...as it was told to me, a while back, as there was someone who just filled up the page with threads...no not me...actually I was gone from here for some months... I believe on a political board two are two few..I know occasionally, and have, attached to a older thread..try to pick ones with same topic, post [NEW] as a beginning but think they don't really get noticed.. I suggested four a day...also asked if one can save up, then post useing saved ones, say max of four..to keep straight poster have to post #..their responsibility like say [post #1} #2 etc to 4..never did get a answer..

Problem is they are going to unwind all the protections for the working man and make it better for the wealthy. I'm glad we are retired, if we can hang onto our savings we will be fine.
Look for inflation to run rampant though and that will be a killer. Oh well, they want no regulations, no healthcare, no benfits for elderly, disabled, no SS, no medicare, no nothing, oops, but the ones voting for him are heavy users of all that, go figure. The robber barons are in control so back to those good old days for the rich.
Hope you and I can afford popcorn.

Even I do not expect a JFK or Barack Obama Inauguration speech that will be mind blowing in a good way. My wife and I are wondering if a few cuss words will wind up in the speech. I hope not........ By the way, didn't your wife say she, and I assume you, were moving back to Europe if he won?

I just wish he'd get a decent hair cut. Clinton always looked like a pansy with his fancy do and Trump needs a decent hair cut period. Plus dress better. Two rich people, Hillary and Donald and both dress like they shop at goodwill in the bad part of town.

Hope you and I can afford popcorn. I suggest you fire up the old motorhome, drive south through Mexico, and if you do not get hijacked there, make your way to Costa Rico and get together with dj and start a new city there.

Are you ready for 4 years of "NO"? We should have it for maybe two years, but we should be able to get the legislation through without too much trouble. Midterm elections could go your way. unlike pubs...never WOULD have said this...not necessarily.. If the Donald gets certain results , does a good , fair job why not keep supporting him...as i said somewhere..oh to my doctor in a discussion the other day...the man is a sleeze..you publickly , quietly and under your breath u agree and will admit it even as you say "NO HE ISN'T"..but as I said to Doc, possible what we need right now is a sleeze.. I think he is going to have more problems with the TEA PARTY, the Republicans.. his building the fence for 8 to 25 Billion, plus increasing border patrol, plus increasing immigration agents for the round ups[ from what I read they are maxed out now doing what Obama ordered] the costs, retirement, supervisors, medical, salarys, benefits plus the upkeep on that fence yearly...out in the weather as it will be...budget going to go sky high..more deficit.. PLUS..he is pushing for a 345 ship navy to counter Russian and Chinese build up...from a 275 ship navy now..including a new Air Craft Carrier..plus airwings...attack submarines, believe about 30 plus destroyers and such...support ships..I believe cost would be aother $5 billion a year for all that if not more plus wanting tp put Americans to work infrastructure..[badly needed] throughout country...highways, bridges, airports, rail... Will need I believe help from Democrats , probably would look more favorable on his programs...but am sure will want some input on his programs too.. Could be interesting but the man really has to do some changing too and start with his knee jerk reactions, his idiotic tweets... .

And, I must say I disagree with the Dezi rule no in effect here. (did I use the correct spelling?) You mean limiting the amount of posts he could make? That rule? As said..rule wasn't mine..way before..don't believe me pm mod... but as far as you and I..lets face it..I am standing at a fork in the road and u drive up [hopefully you don't hit me] and are wondering which fork to take to get to zyz and I honestly and nicely tell u I just came back and the bridge in the left fork is down, the right fork will be a bit longer but will get u to zyz safely..you would take the left fork....

That rule? going to tag Value Buy as well. the post limiting thing wasn't originally because of Dezi, it actually is from a previous election and a different poster's abundance of threads created in a short period of time. nobody is picking on Dezi. -chiver mod

Evidently, the KGB's Putin is Trump's bestie now, and the Russians are the good guys. Lol! God, Trump is clueless. All you have to do is compliment him and you can wind him around your little finger.
