I've never had a tamale. Do they come in chicken? OMG! We must get you a tamales now! They are delicious! And you can put whatever you want in them, but they are traditionally made of pork. Montreal has every ethnic restaurant imaginable, but a dearth of Mexican. I don't know why that is.

I'm impressed with all the good food you guys eat. I just finished reading 18 rough drafts. Dh already ate some chicken I picked up at Publix. I am making two corn dogs and a few steak fries in the oven. At least no fryer died in the cooking of this meal.

Wonder if it happened after the Amazon take over? Pizza for me tonight. I had a half off code and I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. could be. the whole menu looked different, and they had white rice tonight. it was always either brown or quinoa. so who knows. I did notice a locker in the foyer, for Amazon pickups. that wasn't there the last time I went in.

Last night I made nachos. But not regular nachos. I made a pineapple salsa from a fresh pineapple, used Cojita cheese, and grilled shrimp with a jalapeno marinade. I made black beans and cut up an avocado. I decided to skip the chops and put it all on lettuce. I made a lime vinaigrette for the salad. It was delicious, and now I don't want to cook anymore.

I noticed the same when I was in Ireland over a decade back. lots of Indian and various Asian options, all of which were well represented in the immigrant population. Mexican, not so much.

I'd heard they were going to start putting the lockers in the whole foods. I noticed when I did a prime pantry order last week they had whole foods stuff available.

Half a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and some jello. Not the best, but it hit the spot.
Now I need to find quick easy low salt, low fat, low cholesterol recipes. I know that there are plenty out there, but any tips, tricks or website that anyone can share, I would appreciate the insight

We have a sizable Hispanic population, not necessarily Mexican. We have Peruvian, Chilean, Venezuelan, Salvadoran, Columbian, etc., eateries, but not many Mexican. I have noticed some taco joints popping up.

DH won't be home until late tonight. So, instead of our usual Friday night take out, he'll grab something on the road. I'm thinking an Atkins meal (coupon) with a side salad for me. Total cost approx $4.50.
Sat IDK yet
Sun something on the smoker
Happy weekend, y'all!

Tonight I was thinking beef stew, but, maybe I leave that for Monday.
Otherwise, want to use up some of the previous couple of days leftovers. Choices are Pizza or Chicken or Pork.

stopped at the sports bar to watch the end of the Patriots game and not wake up my very full house. decided to get a $10 large pizza, and have a couple.slices while I'm sitting here. I got chicken, bacon, and jalapeno. and a Stoli razz 'n soda. will be about $25 including tip, and I'll have 3 more meals from the pizza.

I went to my friend Antoni's housewarming party. The food was awesome! Shish taouk, giant grilled shrimp, smoked salmon on mini pitas, herring, salads, home-made pizza, figs wrapped in prosciutto and baked, stuffed grape leaves, assorted cheeses, etc. I'm still full.

Last night DH smoked the pork roast (on sale for $4.72) and I made fried eggplant ($1.59) parmesan. SOOO good! Tonight I'm making this for the first time in order to use the JD and zucc in the fridge: Stuffed zucchini The zucc was $1.80 for 2, and the sausage was $3.49. Tomorrow night I'm going to make enchiladas. However, we don't have any tortillas. In keeping with my new goal of staying out of the store except to buy food for this Saturday's party, I'm going to try my hand at making them out of almond flour. We'll see. For the leftover egg yolks, I just found this: Low Carb Lemon Sour Cream PieWed: Fish night. Maybe. Thurs: Out with the ATV club. Friday: Takeout from? Saturday: Halloween party. Sun: IDK yet.

Peel, cut into french fry size, toss in bowl with EVOO and chili powder. Lay out on some parchment paper and roast at 450 for 30 minutes. Delish!

I bought some veggie seasoning mixes, you mix the spices with olive oil, says drizzle on veggies but I toss them in the oil. Put on a baking sheet, bake 40 minutes, absolutely delicious.
We do carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, potatoes, the Yukon ones, onions, garlic, just anything really.
Tonight is pork chops, corn, gravy, mashed potatoes, and biscuits, maybe another veggie. Krogers has fair sized bags of bruised or imperfect fruits and veggies for $.99 each. I got one of veggies and one with 6 big gala apples for $.99 each, just made stewed apples, so that will be thickened and used for dessert. They also had ground pork on special for $.99 a pound, bought 6 pounds of it.
Babysitting today, DIL went to her ESL class, she is really enjoying not only the class but the other younger wives there. Nice for all of them. And I enjoy little sweetie. He is a pretty good little guy. Spoke to soon, he is climbing the back of the recliner, got to stop that, later.
