New Halloween Scavenger Hunt game

Found tool bar.  Luckily game had put pumpkin there because I had no idea of where it is.

Now I am staring at the pumpkin and then taking forever to find the candy.

I must be doing something wrong. When I clicked on arrow, all I got was a smiley face, a couple of peeps, and what looks like maybe a newspaper.  No pumpkin   Also managed to lose my biting abilities somehow.  I used to be infected, but now I don't see anything for me.

I ended up,changing the theme I used so it stands out much better.

It's in the very lower right corner of the screen itself, whether you are at the top or bottom of the page.

Taz, Only have the one arrow on bottom right and all mine does is activate the three icons I mentioned or deactivate them.

I think the smiley face is actually the pumpkin.  If there is no candy on the page it is just a circle.  If there is candy on the page it turns into a smiley face.  Mine is kinda red when it is just a circle then a little more orange when it is a smiley face.  That could be influenced by my theme not sure.

The left icon should show a pumpkin when there's a prize there.  It depending on the colors, it could be hard to tell at times though.

You do realize that Halloween is Monday night and that the adorable little kids arriving during daylight hours will not be satisfied with virtual candy?  Their parents will also be disappointed in you and will not bring them back next year if you disappoint them this year. 

And then there are the older kids armed with soap and TP who show up later.  They want candy, the chocolate stuff, not the tiny little caramel cubes that will be the only thing left in the store if you put this off too long.  They can't be bought off with quarters or apples.  Are you ready for them?

On Support I've only heard one peep get 8 candy's in one go, but that was only once. I believe it's set at 6 as the max. And we were testing this plugin from the get go, so bugs abounded everywhere.

I finally managed to tear myself away from the virtual acquisition of virtual candy long enough to do some filing that had been calling to me for several days.  

Apparently, it was magical filing because now I seem to have lost the will to chase virtual candy. 

Now I'm hungry.  I shall reward my willpower over virtual candy by consuming a dark chocolate Frango mint IRL.

How is it that you (presumably normal) people can collect so many candies?

I've been clicking on every candy I see and I have 10. It seems like there's a 1 in ~4 chance of one popping up, hence that puts me at about 40 threads visited in the past two days. That's a lot of reading.

But I see posters here with 100, 300, 600, ... 3,000!?

That's 12,000 page loads, assuming every available candy is fetched. An average of one load every 21.6 seconds for 3 days.

Even with caching, your typical Proboards thread pulldown is anywhere from 85-300K. Let's say 125K average. 12,000 page loads is a 1.5 GB (!) draw on Proboards servers over three days. That's equivalent to streaming four hour-long TV show episodes in SD.

Just... wow.

I know moon/Laura promised a $25 Amazon gift card for every 100 candies collected, and she'll make good on that promise, but she's not made of money. Think of Moon Jr.
