Yes, saying "Oh my God" or "Jesus Christ" in an exasperated way used to be considered the equivalent of cursing. My 14 year old has picked up saying "Jesus Christ" a lot when he's upset and even though I walked away from religion and the Church several years ago I've been coming down on him for this more so than I probably would for cursing...especially since he's going to a Catholic school this Fall. I'm sure that wouldn't help his grades any.

My friend took Jesus Christ and turned it into Cheese and Rice. Same sentiment. Not offensive, thought. Unless you worship Rice a Roni.

I do make sense to a lot of people here. Those whom I don't make sense to need to re-evaluate a lot of things.
How is it ok to say God understands cursing in aramean only? So it is ok to curse in church speaking to a priest as long as you don't curse in aramean...BRILLIANT!
I've cursed in front of our old priest lots of times. Drank and played cards with him too. He's an awesome guy. I hope you didn't d it in Aramean...according to some one here you can curse all you want as long as it is not the language HE understands

I'm pretty sure our priest speaks English.

I'm pretty sure our priest speaks English. I'm pretty sure God understands all languages, being the Creator and all that stuff.
