Now Trump has even Rudi Giuliani lying for him. That or Giuliani has dementia for which he might be forgiven. But then he was a speaker at the Republican convention and did praise Trump. Rudy Giuliani forgets about 9/11 and claims that ‘before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the’ U.S. You might want to get that bump on your head checked, Rudy. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Monday appeared to forget about the worst-ever terror attack to occur on U.S. soil, claiming that there simply had been no such assaults inside America before President Obama. “Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States,” Giuliani said during a head-scratching speech to introduce Donald Trump in Youngstown, Ohio. “They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office,” Giuliani said, bizarrely forgetting the horrific 9/11 attacks. The extraordinary exclusion of 9/11 was especially peculiar, given that, just a moment earlier Giuliani had been discussing the attacks and praising vice presidential nominee Mike Pence for a “very, very timely” visit to Ground Zero and for his help, as a then-congressman, on the Judiciary Committee to help “fashion the Patriot Act.” "You know better than I do what a great governor he is of your state,” Giuliani told the Ohio crowd. Pence is the governor of Indiana. Rudy Giuliani forgets about 9/11 and claims that ‘before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the’ U.S. Is that also from Andy Borowitz?

Really difficult to see how he could forget 9/11, considering he was mayor of the city at the time and built pretty much his entire career after that on the attacks. And Biden's line about Rudy: "There's only three things he mentions in a sentence —a noun, a verb, and 9/11."

He probably engineered it, along with Bush' cronies, of course. That's how he can be so sure it wasn't radical Islamist terrorism.

It was said tongue in cheek. After your bloody revolution to gain independence from the monarchy, why would anyone accept a knighthood from Her Royal Majesty?

No, we always liked the Queen. It was that damn King you had way back then. (Even if it wasn't really....)

I'm well aware that The Stones are Brits. Sheesh! I'm also well aware the Keef was disgusted that Mick took the Knighthood. Hey...wasn't that my point?

I'm guessing they (Gravis) are closer on this one than the link near the end of that article where they missed a Maryland race by 96 points.

That's why we have all the current talk about the election being 'rigged.'
As the Donald has already said, many times, the only way he can lose is if Hillary cheats.
I think mentally he's already done with this race (I don't think he ever intended to win it in the first place). He's already in his limo next to his sexy, scantily clad wife, the two of them drinking martinis, Trump laughing all the way to one of his golf courses. He will be able to say, to the end of his life, that he SHOULD have been POTUS, but he got robbed of it by the crooked Clintons.
Meanwhile, his angry, bitter supporters will be left holding the bag, feeling like they got cheated, and Trump will not be there to smooth any of that over because he truly doesn't give a shit about them, about the GOP, or even the country, except as a platform to host his business ambitions. He will be the ultimate bad loser, willing to shit in the punch bowl because he didn't win.
The more this election progresses, the more angry I get at the GOP. This is not the party I've voted for, that my parents voted for. This is not the fiscally responsible, grown up party. By catering to the fringe voters, they've allowed a narcissistic, B grade businessman to seize control and he's running this dignified party right into the ditch, and it's going to further divide an already divided country. The GOP needs to undergo mitosis, to split into two - one half the old fiscally responsible, socially moderate party, the other half the radical fringe. It's the only way to save the party.

I don't think this party (the GOP ) has been respectable for a long time. That is why it has been losing moderates since the 1990's. Maybe this is just the catharsis that it needs. You may be right about it splitting in two. I really can't see the loud and proud RW faction ever co-existing peacefully with the staid and sensible members of the traditional GOP mold. I hope this is the kick in the ass the GOP needs for the boring, fiscally responsible, dependable moderates to break into their own boring, fiscally responsible, dignified and studious party while the fringe members that want to impose religious law and ethnic cleansing get launched into their own rowdy, belligerent party, fear mongering party.
Trump can be their ringleader.
I would gladly vote for the bland nerd party that I can trust with my money.

Lets play what if.
Say Assange has some bombshell email he's holding until Sept or October. Some really nasty smoking gun that blows the whole Clinton campaign open. He's waiting until just the right moment when it can do the most damage and won't allow Clinton time to smooth the whole mess over before election day.
With people faced with voting for a now toxic Clinton and the always toxic Trump, what would be the chances that people turn to Johnson?
He's already polling almost dead even with Trump in Utah.

there has been basically no movement in the national polls in (2) weeks. every day that slips away decreases Trump's odds of winning, obviously. however, it is not enough for me to shift Clinton from 7:2 favourite.
in the state polling, the news has been almost universally bad for Trump. the one exception was today's WaPo poll of Virginia, where he is back to single digits, similar to the national surveys. if i were to guess, i would say that he will continue to firm up in states he is likely to win, along with Clinton, which will make the election easier to call.

Donald Trump called Monday for "extreme vetting" of immigrants seeking admission to the United States, vowing to block those who sympathize with extremist groups or don't embrace American values. He said the policy would first require a temporary halt in immigration from dangerous regions of the world. Trump's campaign aides said the new ideological test for admission to the United States would vet applicants for their stance on issues like religious freedom, gender equality and gay rights. www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-political-test-immigrants-1.3721288
Ha, ha, ha! Who is going to vet the Conservative party, who just came out with the most anti-LGBT platform in history?
