the Marist polls are an absolute disaster for Trump: www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/he is showing -9 in NORTH CAROLINA. this is not Illinois, folks. this is Dixie. amazeballs. he is showing -13 in VIRGINIA. this used to be thought of as a SWING STATE. he is showing -5 in FLORIDA. this is the fourth poll in a row that shows him down there. i wonder if he still thinks that the CNN poll showing him down 9 was "weird".

i got it right this week. Clinton built about a 8 point lead by midweek, but at week's end she is back down to 7%. the good news for Clinton: she has not lost much margin. she is hanging in there at about 48% the good news for Trump: he is off his lows, and back up to 41% i like these polls right now. www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.htmlif we say that Clinton is +7, the only outlier is the NBC survey that shows her +10. the LA Times is not showing MOE, but it is probably about 2%, so that one might be slightly outside of MOE, as well. going forward, i would guess that the national polling stays right about here, barring any dramatic news. the next mark is probably the first debate in late September.

Well, it was probably ANOTHER muffin shop, and ANOTHER cup of iced tea, and ANOTHER weird face thing that Hillary made .... not the one this reporter was at.
Cause you know, we can't, like, forgo a really awesome conspiracy theory, right?

i am starting to understand why he admires Putin so much. Yes. Lucky Putiin who can get away with murdering reporters who fail to write positive stories.
There are some advantages of being a tyrant that I'm sure Trump would like to explore.

or, as Bush once put it, “If this were a dictatorship it would be a heck of a lot easier... as long as I'm the dictator. Hehehe.”

Good to know that Trump will "surround himself with the best people." And Mr. Manafort’s presence remains elsewhere here in the capital, where government investigators examining secret records have found his name, as well as companies he sought business with, as they try to untangle a corrupt network they say was used to loot Ukrainian assets and influence elections during the administration of Mr. Manafort’s main client, former President Viktor F. Yanukovych. Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials. In addition, criminal prosecutors are investigating a group of offshore shell companies that helped members of Mr. Yanukovych’s inner circle finance their lavish lifestyles, including a palatial presidential residence with a private zoo, golf course and tennis court. Among the hundreds of murky transactions these companies engaged in was an $18 million deal to sell Ukrainian cable television assets to a partnership put together by Mr. Manafort and a Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, a close ally of President Vladimir V. Putin. www.nytimes.com/2016/08/15/us/politics/paul-manafort-ukraine-donald-trump.html?_r=0

Satire. TRUMP BLAMES BAD POLL NUMBERS ON EXISTENCE OF NUMERICAL SYSTEMBy Andy Borowitz , 12:02 P.M. YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump lashed out at a new target on Monday, blaming his bad poll numbers on the existence of the numerical system. In sometimes rambling remarks at an outdoor rally in Ohio, the Republican Presidential nominee called the numerical system “rigged” and unleashed a torrent of abuse on numbers themselves, calling them “disgusting” and “the lowest form of life.” “It’s why I won’t release my taxes,” he said. “They’re full of goddam numbers.” While Republican candidates in the past have attempted to exploit their supporters’ distrust of math, Trump is believed to be the first nominee to call into question the numerical system itself. Behind the scenes, G.O.P. insiders fretted that, in attacking the very existence of numbers, Trump was veering wildly off message. “He should be talking about Hillary Clinton, and instead he’s going off on integers,” one insider said. Officially, aides remained upbeat about the campaign and denied reports that Trump was spending an increasingly large portion of each day angrily muttering to himself and chewing on paper. As narcissistic and braggadocious as Mr. Trump is, you know he would have splattered his tax returns across the front page of the NYTimes if it backed up all his chatter. They won't so he won't.

Now Trump has even Rudi Giuliani lying for him. That or Giuliani has dementia for which he might be forgiven. But then he was a speaker at the Republican convention and did praise Trump. Rudy Giuliani forgets about 9/11 and claims that ‘before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the’ U.S. You might want to get that bump on your head checked, Rudy. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Monday appeared to forget about the worst-ever terror attack to occur on U.S. soil, claiming that there simply had been no such assaults inside America before President Obama. “Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States,” Giuliani said during a head-scratching speech to introduce Donald Trump in Youngstown, Ohio. “They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office,” Giuliani said, bizarrely forgetting the horrific 9/11 attacks. The extraordinary exclusion of 9/11 was especially peculiar, given that, just a moment earlier Giuliani had been discussing the attacks and praising vice presidential nominee Mike Pence for a “very, very timely” visit to Ground Zero and for his help, as a then-congressman, on the Judiciary Committee to help “fashion the Patriot Act.” "You know better than I do what a great governor he is of your state,” Giuliani told the Ohio crowd. Pence is the governor of Indiana. Rudy Giuliani forgets about 9/11 and claims that ‘before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the’ U.S.
