Can you explain why Trump and Clinton are neck and neck in Ohio and Pennsylvania? Obama lead PA by 3.8% on election day in 2012. Clinton is up by 2.3%. not a large difference Obama lead OH by 2.9% on election day in 2012. Clinton is currently up by 2.5%. insignificant. Your polling reports may be accurate, but it looks like Bush's win in 2000 looked like a squeaker. what "polling reports"?

2001 wasn't about 40% of the vote. It was about Florida, hanging chads, etc. etc = disenfranchisement

Over a half million Americans were killed in the Civil War. There were dead bodies on the ground on college campuses during the Vietnam Era, killed by government troops. People posted some nasty things on the Internet as a result of the 2000 election. IM(not so)HO, we weren't even close to being "torn apart". Maybe now through fourteen years of looking back at the vote, we can say that, but tell that to the Democrats in 2001. No one was talking about other minority elected Presidents with les than 40% of the vote at that time. They were robbed! It was anarchy o the Republican's part! The world is ending as we know it! America will never recover from the theft of the Prtesidency!Well, to be fair, that complaint does have a lot more legitimacy considering who became President as a result.

Likely because their report offers no serious criticism of Hillary and nothing major ripping on Obama. Does seem to take our military to task. Select Committee on Benghazi Releases Proposed Report

Clinton's email issues came about through the Benghazi investigation. So I expect Benghazi will surface again as an issue through Clinton's email investigation. Let the Benghazi investigations begin again!

in other news, Clinton seems to have settled in at an approximate 5% lead over Dumpster Fire.

I'm personally immune to Benghazi now that they have had 9 investigations that have wasted millions instead of spending all that time moving the country forward. Happy 4th of July MoFo's!

There was a comedy done many years ago called "The Mouse That Roared".
Maybe The Donald is seeing a similar farce?
I was thinking about the movie The Producers.....

www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/trump-statements-slow-start-put-pivotal-southwest-at-risk/
DENVER — Once a swing state in presidential elections, Colorado has teetered on the brink of becoming solidly Democratic. Donald Trump may have pushed it over the edge.
Trump’s disparaging words about Mexicans, negative comments about women and weak campaign organization have punctuated the state’s shift from a nip-and-tuck battleground to one that’s Democrat-friendly. For the first time in more than 20 years, there are now more registered Democrats in the state than Republicans.
“Trump is turning off as many key voter groups as we have in this state,” said former state Republican Party Chairman Dick Wadhams. “I would have to believe Trump’s having trouble.”
And it’s not just Colorado. Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric and weak campaign structure could ensure that perennially competitive Nevada and New Mexico are out of reach as well.

looks like the email thing is OVER, as well. and again, no posts on it: talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/comey-clinton-email-serveramazing. so, those of you that were hoping Clinton would be FORCED out can forget about it. she is going all the way to election day. and Trump is going to have to beat her the hard way.

As a bonus for the rest of us please throw in a 'no more Benghazi BS'. If you want to get worked up about American deaths I've got 5000 for you from a fucked up war that will cost trillions.

I don't know that we should waste a thread on it.
Certain posters will say that the Clintons frightened the AG and the FBI by Bill invading the AG's plane and engaging her in small talk, which was a 'threat.' So of course they were able to make the whole thing go away, because they are crooked and corrupt.
Other posters will point out that this is like the eleventy-fifth investigation of Bengasi and Bengasi related issues and none of the first ones turned up a smoking gun, so this last one was no different from the first.
From what little I saw of the final conclusions, it seems the military took a spanking more than anyone. There was a group of soldiers ready to rush in to help, but they had to go back and change their clothes four times because the higher ups couldn't decide if they should go in wearing civilian clothes or military uniforms. Sounds like Catch 22, only with horrible real life consequences.

And the Brexit vote may have been a wake up call to some people that the unthinkable can and does happen. I'm feeling very cynical today though, so that may be coloring me today.

The problem seems to be, with Hillary NOTHING STICKS... even though it would stick to a regular person. She's like that magic copper/ceramic frying pan that you can melt cheese into and it just slides right out, but it sticks to all the other pans. She's guilty, everyone knows it, but it doesn't stick. She ain't called "the Teflon Queen" for nothin'!

Ryan: GOP will hold hearings on Clinton probeSpeaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Tuesday evening that Republicans will hold hearings to learn more about the FBI's decision to not recommend criminal charges for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. "People have been convicted for far less," Ryan said during an interview with Megyn Kelly on Fox News's "The Kelly File," saying that he thought FBI director James Comey "was going to recommend prosecution" based on the FBI director's opening remarks in a press conference Tuesday. Ryan said the FBI's decision not to recommend charges "underscores the belief that the Clintons live above the law." Ryan: GOP will hold hearings on Clinton probe
