Major mass media had Cruz taking Indiana. Trump was not the favorite until recently. the media are followers. 538 had him as the winner until recently. those guys know what they are doing. but the last week swung heavily in Trumps favor. i think that April 26th was kind of it. Trump slaughtered the other guys on the 26th, and the voters of Indiana figured it was all over, even though it wasn't.Evidently it was all over. You and Nate Silver got it wrong. |

Evidently it was all over. You and Nate Silver got it wrong. i was referring to the fact that if Indiana had gone for Cruz, we still might have got a contested convention. but you knew that, of course. so, you still stinging from the lashing that Nate gave you in 2012? 2008 hurt a lot more. As to the first sentence, immediately after the eastern sweep of five states I stated Cruz might win Indiana. After I did two days of digging up info and calling some friends, I knew I was wrong and said Trump had Indiana in the win column. The only question was how many districts would he win. I thought he would lose three. I was wrong, and will be man enough to admit that  You and I have gone back and forth since Wisconsin. I said Trump would be strong in the east, and Cruz would fail there, from the git go. I dd say momentum would kick n for Trump at that time, but Indiana was Cruz's state to lose. And he did. He imploded every day. |
