Yesterday in a speech, Trump called Indiana Importantville (good thing I have the "R" in the word!) We are currently called the Hoosier state, or Cross Roads of America, which I sort of prefer the latter. After tonight, we might have to change our moniker to Importantville. Has a nice ring to it, will play in middle America, but not on either coast, but who the heck cares about that?. Or is that a nice hoop to it? The last two days Cruz has continually out performed in a spiraling political disasterous fall which he may hopefully never recover from in his lifetime. Crossing the street to talk to four Trump supporters, which the media called "protesters", was a disaster. Cruz fell to every retort the guy gave him. It was embarrassing. They were supporters because they stayed across the street holding the signs, and Ted made the HUGE REALLY HUGE, mistake of crossing the street to talk to them. The master debater was taken down at every turn by a guy from , actually I think, Ohio. Then the video of having a ten year old escorted out of his rally in front of a basically empty floor, missing hundreds of available spots for backers to stand. I will give Cruz credit, that no ten year old should ever scream "you suck", but telling the crowd if it were his child they would receive a spanking as the kid is escorted out by three security personnel across an empty floor, was sad. Then Carly introduces him at a rally, and obviously fell through the slats on the stage steps disappearing before the cameras in front of him, as his wife tries to help Carly. What does Ted do? Ignore it. Continue to shake hands of people in the row behind Carly, as he even looked at her. Do not believe me, watch the video in slow motion I imagine Carly did say, "don't worry about me, save yourself!" as she tried to climb out of the hole. Saturday Night Live could not make this stuff up on their best night Too bad we have to wait til Saturday to see it.

Are you saying it is important to have the "R" in the word to avoid 'Impotentville'?

Has any Hoosier politician actually endorsed Trump? Sports coaches have. The geriatric crew of Bobby Knight Gene Keady Lou, I have played his golf courses and stayed in his hotels, Holtz Digger Phelps and even from Gary Indiana roots, Fred "the hammer" Williamson, the former NFL star and actor. Got to love it I am thinking Trump may sweep Indiana today

Yes! We do not need any deflation in our great state! Then you need to drop the "A" and add a second "E". I knew that, but I am from Indiana, and took a little bit of satirical humor there. Give me a little political license on Indiana's big day in the political limelight, ok? You have to admit, we have never EVER seen such a political sideshow as this year, and Indiana for better or worse, will be the state to actually kill the Cruz campaign. You should be happy with that!

Should Indiana change it's lively description from "the Hoosier state", to Importantville? Yes, it sounds corny, but we grow a lot of that in Indiana too. Illinois had already stolen "The Land of Lincoln" from the state of Indiana, so we have to settle on something of slightly less significance Tennesseer, Am I on fire this morning or what? I refuse to use the "Don't doubt me ever" slogan, but we are about to see the most amazing slam dunk tonight by Donald Trump.

Does anyone think Hillary made a mistake of ignoring Indiana the last few days. Been in Michigan Been in Ohio Been in West Virginia. Does that mean she thinks Indiana is safe tonight? Does she think she has lost Indiana tonight and moved on? Does she think she can just slip into the fall campaign mode now and ignore most of the primaries coming up? She will need Indiana in the fall, and ignoring Indiana this week is at her own peril. Hoosiers will remember that, and Trump plays well here in the fall anyway. If Bernie wins big here tonight it opens his argument to stay in the race for a few weeks.

This is the beauty of the incident. Cruz a masterful debater was taken down by a man on the street, with obviously no debating skill. The guy crushed Cruz, and like a moth to the flame, Cruz knew he had to stay and be drawn in closer to the flame.

After seeing his latest tirade today against Trump, with Heidi on one side and the now doe-eyed Carly on the other side, it is obvious Ted Cruz has melted down. I would not be surprised if Heidi checks him into a mental health clinic by Thursday. Scary......... He might as well been singing phrases from an old song.
Indiana wants me........ I can't go back there.........
Ahh, no they do not want you. And you can't go back there after tonight. The ten year olds might say nasty things to you.

I kinda like the name Importantville. So far I've gotten mailers from Trump and Cruz, they were both pretty entertaining. Nada from Hillary or Bernie. We switched to polling centers in our county this year and the lines have been terrible... either that or the turnout is way higher than normal. An interesting year, for sure....

I felt bad for her. She made the decision to go with Cruz, was berated by all the media, and now this. This video could follow her for years, and even I think that would be unfair. This could replace the fiasco from SNL over a stumbling President, that Chevy Chase used and was portrayed for decades.

I hope she's OK. Given Google results, Ted and the protesters is much bigger and more popular news.

I saw Cruz talking to a brick wall, which is generally ill-advised. Yes its true Trump supporters don't want Cruz, but that's not a take down.
To me it was at best a draw, nothing useful was learned unless you like watching Trump supporters abandon logic and someone trying to debate someone who prefers emotional arguments and small sound bites. Man on the street reminded me more of stupid Obama supporters that you find in videos more than anything else. Cruz sounded decent for part of the time, lied about guns & liberal judges, and stayed for a no win conversation longer than he should have.

Clinton has the nomination pretty much tied up, even if she loses Indiana it won't be by a big enough margin to change the tides. She is also riding the wave of the recent wins. She has bigger contest to spend money on; Indiana only has 11 electoral votes, which is not the smallest but is far off from the biggest. Indiana is also a red state. Her campaign is hedging its bets, and conceding that they may lose (by a small margin). If they lose then they can say that it was planned, if they win, it's a big surprise. Either way she is working her campaign network for contributions.

Once you see the results tonight, your and my opinion will not matter. American Republican voters have issued their opinion. Speaking of stupid "supporters" did you see the video of the non-supporting young Spanish Americans flying Mexican flags giving the finger to Trump supporters and the fat female swinging her ass at them? Classy.

The thing is Cruz thought he could out debate a man in the street, and he was incorrect in that assumption. Remember, Cruz went to them, crossing the street for a dramatic photo op. He got it Remember the old adage, never ask a question you do not know the answer to? He forgot that one.

Early results from Importantville, also know as Trump Midwest, show Trump with a 20% lead over Cruz. I imagine most of the number consists from absentee balloting, but is a guess on my part

I just do not understand why Trump had to go there. He had it won and he knows it would not alter the vote the rest of the day. I think he felt Cruz thought Donald would go ballistic with the Carly selection, and kill Trump's momentum. It probably did bother Trump, but he did not swallow the lure. Trump evidently decided to push Cruz on election day to get a rise out of Cruz. I guess it worked, but does it help to kick your opponent in the privates when they are already beaten and in pain?

CNN, FOX News and MSNBC all projected Trump the winner at 7pm. No need to stay up wondering about the outcome.

This is the most national attention Indiana has received since Governor Pence signed the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

This is the most national attention Indiana has received since Governor Pence signed the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Yes, but that was over political correctness gone amuck, and this is the result of the backlash against nonsense. I will say Pence, even though he praised Trump even as he half heartedly said he would vote for Cruz, has placed himself in the crosshairs of the Hoosier Republican voter. His "endorsement" of Cruz could defeat him in the fall.

... I just do not understand why Trump had to go there. ... I guess it worked, but does it help to kick your opponent in the privates when they are already beaten and in pain? Trump is a bully. There is obviously something in the psychological make-up of a bully that kicking a downed opponent "helps". I don't understand it, but I have witnessed it enough to know it exists.
