We need much tougher laws to outlaw murder. If we make more stringent laws about murder then that will stop it. And, we won't even have to worry about what implements are used because once murder is outlawed, then it will cease to exist.

I could support murder control, to a reasonable extent.
Good luck getting those laws past the pro-murder lobby, though. The homicide detectives' unions alone have donated a fortune to 2016 campaigners.
Your best bet is to repeal the 9 3/4th amendment, which guarantees American citizens the right to murder annoying in-laws, telemarketers, and creepy homeless people.

Well, we simply don't have enough laws about it. If we had more laws, then murder would disappear. I mean, right now we only have life in prison sentences and some states have the death penalty for murder. That is simply not enough. Oh, we even ramped that up with "Hate" murder so we have gotten tougher. Because hating someone while you murder them is a terrible thing. We need laws about murdering people for other reasons. If you drive thru is just too slow on your chicken nugget order, then no, you cannot murder the person in the window. We need to S-P-E-L-L out every possible murder scenario to educate the public to understand that getting pissed at someone doesn't mean it's OK to murder them.

I'm getting the impression that your rant is about something other than murder control.
If you're upset about the campaign to ban SUVs with tinted windows in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting, just come out and say it.

Well, I am applying the call for more gun laws to murder instead. The crux of the issue isn't a gun per se. It is really about murder. So, we should really be focusing on the issue, which is murder. If gun laws will stop people from using guns, then murder laws will stop murder. It's just logic.

Yeah...but if you enact more laws against murder, only the law abiding murderers will not murder. All the non-law-abiding murderers will still murder.

Well we could amend the laws to make murder with guns more illegal than murdering with knives perhaps?

Just put up "Murder Free Zone" signs. Problem solved. No need for more laws - just more signs.

Of course, that might make murderers even more prone to murder since they know others murderers aren't in there to murder them back. It's a Catch 22.

Yeah...but if you enact more laws against murder, only the law abiding murderers will not murder. All the non-law-abiding murderers will still murder. Not necessarily true. Consider: everybody breaks some laws, but not everybody breaks the same laws. Some people abuse handicap parking, some people jaywalk, some people speed, some people fly airplanes into buildings, and so on and so forth. Let us suppose that any given individual ignores 100 x percent of laws, where 0 < x < 1. As we've already noted, the laws (s)he chooses to ignore are selected randomly with roughly uniform probability, hence we can reasonably conclude that no correlation exists between the laws ignored by any two randomly-selected individuals. By futher assuming that public lawbreaking tendencies are ergodic, we can extend the observed properties of the population to any series of observations pertaining to the individual. By analogy, we can assume that the average amount of sugar we'd find by sampling one can of Coke from 200 different retail stores would be statistically indistinguishable from the average amount of sugar we'd find by sampling one can of Coke purchased from the same store on 200 consecutive days. Thus we see that the whiteness (i.e. lack of correlation) in person-to-person lawlessness implies a lack of correlation in samples of an individual's lawlessness vis a vis multiple copies of the same laws. If we were to have five redundant copies of each murder law, for example, an individual might choose to ignore copies 1, 2, 4 and 5, or perhaps just 1 and 3, or perhaps just 5, but intuitively we see that the probability of all five copies being simultaneously ignored is small and becomes exponentially smaller as the degree of redundancy increases. If every law on the books is n-fold duplicated, quantitatively we expect the percentage of laws ignored in toto to be 100 xn, which obviously tends to zero as n tends to infinity. Of course, in real life n can never reach infinity since this would require an infinite number of law volumes to hold the sum of society's codified law, but it's reasonable to assume that n could reach values as high as 23 or 24, in which case even an individual that ignored 95% of all laws would still be less than 30% likely to ignore sufficiently many to actually commit a crime. In short, Shooby makes an excellent point: we need more laws prohibiting murder on the books, and the more, the better.

Do you have something against an American Spanish-language broadcast television network? Or don't you know what Telemundo is.

Absolutely not. We don't need more signage, thank you very much. Just make it so that any place where it's illegal to smoke, it's also illegal to commit murder. People already know where they can and can't smoke. No new signs. No confusion. No wasting tax dollars on more signs.

Better yet, ban them from all social media, Telemundo, and cellphones. That would stop it. stop it. Telemundo?! That is so racially charged! Do you mean that all English speaking channels can broadcast about it but those Spanish ones not? Are you telling me that if I wanna listen to news in a different language than English I can't because they would be banned? So you are practically trampling on my first amendment. What has this world come to!
