I am anticipating it time to change the thread title. I really tried to think it was not terrorism, but was work place madness, but alas, my mind is accepting the premise of extreme Islamic terrorism. . I am thinking something like this for the title: "Two Muslim Islamic extremist terrorists shoot holes in President Obama's arguments on bringing widows and orphans into the country and are brutally assassinated by over exasperated police with military weapons and personnel carriers who attacked the extremists with extreme prejudice because theextremists were upset Christians invited one of them to a Christmas party and they went ballistic". Remember, the wife came in on a Visa with an ok because she was a fiancee. After widows and orphans come in they bring their brothers and sons in a few years later. And now we know the adult male was originally from Illinois. Does he have ties with the White House? Can I get that all in on the header? Virgil can you do your magic and fit it in? What does everyone think? Any considerate suggestions will be considered as a possibility. Thank you for your consideration (Virgil, please hold off from installing my title, in case we get a better proposed title from someone) it is not "active" or "now", so sure. change the title.

Try saying "Radical Islam".
Obama Explains Why He Doesn't Use The Term 'Radical Islam' For Islamic State, Al Qaeda
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama said Wednesday that he refuses to describe the Islamic State and al Qaeda as groups fueled by "radical Islam" because the term grants them a religious legitimacy they don't deserve.
"They are not religious leaders; they are terrorists," Obama said during remarks at a White House event on countering violent extremism. "We are not at war with Islam. We are at war with people who have perverted Islam."
Obama said the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, also known as ISIS or ISIL, is "desperate" to portray itself as a group of holy warriors defending Islam. It counts on that legitimacy, he said, to propagate the idea that Western countries are at war with Islam, which is how it recruits and radicalizes young people.Obama Explains Why He Doesn't Use The Term 'Radical Islam' For Islamic State, Al QaedaOkay, so how is that refusal working out for him tonight? So much for bringing in single Muslim women on a marriage visa. He is single handily losing the war on terror right now.

So then we should call them Islamic perverts?
I think the preference is that "Islamic" be omitted. They also completely omit that Jesus is a staple in their faith. In fact, Imams and recruiters all over the world do nothing but disrespect and insult the Messiah(in the Koran).. The fact conservative Islam only tells the first half of the story is what's about to come back and bite them in the ass.

The President's early assertion during the attack and immediate response, we need more gun legislation before he knew the details (if in deed he didn't actually already know) is absurd. I know. But just because career politicians can't help their pre-fact knee-jerk responses doesn't mean that we have to play too. I was reading an article today that had stats showing gun violence in down compared to 1993 and 1980... Personally, I have no problem with guns - at all. Guns are a part of growing up where I am from. You are taught to respect their power, AND NEVER AIM IT AT ANOTHER PERSON!!!! The two single biggest issues the USA has with guns right now, IMO, is 1)thug life and 2)Can someone please explain why you need an automatic weapon?? Up here. You want a gun? Cool. Step one, hunter safety. Step two complete the firearms and munitions testing. Probably takes about 6-7 months for those courses in total. Then you can buy a rifle and ammo - to go hunting.(after waiting for the gun approval)

Yes. I have a consistent opinion. Not sure why what I say on others boards has any relevance? The fact remains that the only one to tie this with Christianity is YOU. Nobody else. It's a false religion.

The number of wounded include injuries not related to being shot.
Say an injuries from falling down while trying to get away.

Does that mean you are pro dumping Israel as a US ally? It's time for Israel to grow up, get a job and move out of our basement. Your 100% correct. We have to take the leash we have put on them off and tell them to do what they have to do to end the madness in neighboring countries, because we will not so it.

So let me get this straight. We have been told refugees are only allowed in after about 18 months, and vigourous and repetitious vettng of every single one to assure us that they are not a threat to anyone.
Now we see we allow people to come in on visas based on people wanting to bring their wives (or husbands, girlfriends, fiancees, boyfriend, brother, sister, mother, father, and so on) and they obviously are not vetted. In 24 hours our government has all the details on where each traveled and came from, but there was no red flags that were triggered? I understand he is American born, but his travels listings on his passport should have caused some investigation. This women should have triggered red flags galore.
Cmon, people, this is stupid on a pre-school babysitting level. Our government has let this country down. And I am welling to state, this is not an issue of our current President. It is the federal government buearocracy run amuck. As we have seen the Secret Service is in total shambles in trying to protect the President. It is time to shut the borders down now, and stop all visa application processes until we can get a handle on the in house vetting and do it correctly. Or even half ass, because right now there is nothing being accomplished.

Question. This woman came in to the country on FIANCEE VISA, and yet the government has not produced a picture of the now deceased terrorist. WHY? It cannot be because it protects an ongoing investigation. She is dead.
Are we seeing some kind of cover up going on?
Was she a plant in America by Feds that has gone awry, or is just another government mistake where they did not do their job correctly when issuing the visa? Looking back on that morning, with the FBI and ATF on site immediately, they knew who did this and it was a terrorist event. It was simply so strange that no one would call it what it was. No, there are no black helicoptors outside, but way too many unansered questions.

On another related subject. I have been impressed with the professionalism shown by everyone talking to the press with updates on the attack.
Direct, to the point, kept on topic, and never allowed to be sidetracked by the media. The officer who talked last night, who was first responder on the scene was amazing. The city is fortunate to have such good people working for them.

from your link: A count of all attacks since 1970 that took place in United States. A terrorist attack is defined as the threatened or actual use of illegal force and violence by a non‐state actor to attain a political, economic, religious, or social goal through fear, coercion, or intimidation. what goals were sought in this attack?
