Marshabar-can you explain the relevance of the picture in your reply #47? There is no such thing as a unicorn so I am deleting the picture. Keep your pictures relevant to the subject matter. Thanks. For what it is worth, the subject matter referred to was "magic." The unicorn is a magical being much like some people thought Obama was a magical being, as has been extensively documented. Glad to help.

Marshabar-you may believe in unicorns but most folks don't. Altered/Photoshopped pictures to ridicule will not be allowed on these boards. Thanks for helping.

Marshabar-you may believe in unicorns but most folks don't. Altered/Photoshopped pictures to make ridicule someone will not be allowed. Thanks for helping. You misunderstand, I didn't say I believed in unicorns, I said unicorn are magical beings believed in by the type of people who believe/believed Barack Obama is/was a magical being. I guess I should try to be more clear. Although public figures are usually fair game in any media and public discussion as opposed to private individuals being attacked with photoshopped images and nasty words, if this is what the owner of this forum has decided is right then so be it. Nice to know we all must play nice. Won't be too difficult for me. Thanks.

Hey, Marsha!! I like unicorns, and yes, they are magical. As for experience-- sure, Obama has tons of it, just not the kind needed to be POTUS. I LOVE the way he feigned a shift to the middle for a while, then passed stuff by regulation that could not pass by Congress. Yeah-- no one noticed that, did we?? LOL!!! CHEECAGO politics in Washington..... Time to learn how to work the smileys... (winkey face)

Above the reply box you will see smiley icons that work the same as at MSN. You'll also find bold and all that stuff. Also, if you don't want to quote a post but want the full "Post Reply" page, go to the top of the thread and hit the reply link there. The little quick reply box at the bottom doesn't offer the editorial options. Come on, gal, it ain't rocket science!! ;D

Hey Arch. Thanks for the kind greeting. Hey, Krickitt, you can also type a regular smiley face in the "Quick Reply" and it will show up as an emoticon, but I think the regular colon/ right parenthesis combo gives you an angel. Nope, it doesn't. Hey, where'd the angel go?? Oh well, here's one. I should use that as my avatar.

marsh,
I tried to find you on slate after you got das boot from PM, but for the life of me I couldn't do it. I posted a couple of message asking if anyone knew you over there, but I just got laughed at...
I couldn't handle the scorn, so I went back to PM with my tail between my legs.

Wrong Krickett...he is being a President..looking out for all of the people , his responsibilities, where as the elected Congressional types, only have to please their own constituents to stay in office.
He could have played "chicken", just wait them out, the other side.
Would they have not voted to extend the emergency unemployment benefits [come back and bite them in the butt too, even more so as he was asking for them to be extended} and let the middle class tax cuts expire too, {also would have come back and bite the opposition in the butt..again he was asking for them to be left in place}..but always the chance the opposition would commit supuku..and the fall out, higher taxes on the wrong ones. Middle class, and the unemployed. People are hurting as you know. personally big time through know fault of their own , or at least in the majority of cases. Just so few jobs in some areas, they would have expired , and he did not want to take that chance.
So where as you think he showed weakness , because Darlin, lets face it, he's not your favorite, to me he showed where he is so much ahead of the normal politicians. He showed he is the President and has more serious things on his plate then those other politicos.
I would suggest, keep criticizing where you feel it's needed, but when the man does good, and here he did good, for all Americans who would have been effected, then give him the credit. It will make your criticism of him more believable and show your understanding of the scene is right on. Then you can criticize when you feel it's needed but your not the same as some, many here, who only know how to criticize and Dis. Those posts are just scrolled by by many except for those who do the same , which means there message is only going to those who are already convinced that every thing th man does is wrong including his choice of bathroom tissue..nothing he ever does is correct, and any right thinking person knows , that is not the case. A persons choice of a particuler type of toilet tissue, especially a male is a ingrained right , not to be trifled with. Again, just my thoughts on that. ;D

I didn't like the slate format, Archie, so I put up with TONS of trolling harassment at the UK MSN News P&M board where I still have lots of fun. I like the format at this board, very flexible. Don't go home anymore, Archie, just give as good as you get. A good learning experience. Good to see you!

Dez, my friend-- sneak attack on internet regulation, sneak attack on the end of life care (which I think is ridiculous to oppose, by the way). Yup-- your guy Obama is a sneaky one. The word is he will be doing sdneak attacks on the global warming scam, also. May already have done it, for all I know. I'm behind on things. Babysitting toddlers, teaching them to read with this insanely expensive program my daughter bought-- but---- my comp is in the living room now, and I plan to catch up REAL SOON.

For a guy with no experience he's sure gotten a lot done in the last two years. Oh wait, I forgot. The only question that matters is has he totally gotten us out of the economic hole we were in when he took office.

Show me any proof that travel has been restricted to a country by the State department other than Cuba and a nation we are at war with. You are deflecting Marsha, hoping your oft repeated lie will be accepted as fact. Isn't there a enough bad about the President that you don't have to resort to lies to sully his image? Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, N Korea, Serbia and Sudan...all had restrictions in (I'm guessing looking at the dates listed) 2002 according to this website. www.rdrop.com/users/tedpet/bad.htmBut you are correct about Pakistan as far as I can tell. The following is from a New York times article written in 1981: Tourists can obtain a free, 30-day visa (necessary for Americans) at border crossings and airports. Transportation within Lahore is plentiful, with taxis, scooter rickshaws and horse-drawn tongas (especially in the old city) readily available. Insist that taxis and scooter rickshaws use their meters to determine fares, however. Fares for longer journeys (for example, to the Shalimar Gardens) may have to be negotiated; ask the hotel staff for help. (We paid about $2 by scooter for the round trip to Shalimar.) Tonga fares are always agreed on through bargaining; most rides should cost less than 50 cents. www.nytimes.com/1981/06/14/travel/lahore-a-survivor-with-a-bittersweet-history.html?scp=1&sq=lahore travel 1981&st=cse&pagewanted=1 Florida yankee, Reading the article, it sounds like at the Pakistani border you may get a 30 day visa. Were you able to get one at an airport in the states? Just because Pakistan allowed Americans in country, does not mean the U.S.A. allowed the state to legally travel there.

Can you back up this statement? Please be specific about the presidents' communist background. Thanks.

Pakistan is our ally. Nobody thinks Obama is magic or a messiah, just a silly insult. Many were VERY relieved to get past my way or the highway Bush, however.

Barak is turning out to be a fine President..Has accomplished so much in just two years...has grown with the job and expect he will end with some neat accomplishments in his last two of this term..then we'll see waht happens. If he goes on, I believe he will do some great things, if not then what he did in four will be remembered, and remembered in a good way. So far, I am quite happy he is in office. Considering who would have been in office if he had not won..I am so , so glad he is in office.

In the last election the people basically had the option of electing the lesser of the two evils. Either way we were bound to elect someone that could potentially hurt the standing of our country. Perhaps with the next election we will be provided with better candidates.

Golden Run is a poster on one of the U.S. boards. She only has one account. Thank you for your diligence though Marshabar in wanting users to only use one account on these boards.
What exactly is stuck to your shoe? Please clarify. Thanks!
