I'm not. Never have. I always thought the deals were over-hyped.
Anyone ever found it worth their while?

I did that once with X. We stood on line from 9:30pm- 4am at Target for a $300 40" TV and some other stuff. This was pre-kid of course. Not doing it anymore. I looked at one store flyer and nothing in there would even be worth it for me. Instead, I'm taking DS to Sesame Place on Black Friday (with Groupons).
I am going to a big consignment sale event on 12/5. I'm hoping I can find him a bike.

We have our Christmas shopping almost finished. DH is ocd about getting it done before Thanksgiving.
So, no BF for us. I tried it a couple of years but there was really never anything I wanted that badly. I did pick up two videos this week, one from Target and one from Best Buy. Both offered free shipping with no minimum.
That kind of shopping is awesome1

No.
No, I will not.
My Christmas shopping is essentially done. I have a couple of small things left to get, but I will order them online.
I hate malls. There are Other People there. Many of them appear to be feral. It's the really stupid ones that terrify me, though.

No. Never have, never will. Pretty sure that's one resolution that I can easily keep.

Went to Walmart after dinner one year. Other than that I go in the afternoon or even better I buy online. Many stores had the same deals online with free shipping.

Nope.
Five years or so ago I used to do it. Last year I only hit the drug stores. Been 'letting my fingers' do the walking. No fighting for parking or goods or cashier time. No pickpockets or car thieves.

Yes, but not for the deals. My SIL and I meet out about 10pm Thanksgiving just to go out. We have a great time, watching people, drinking coffee and eating Chinese food at about 1:30 am. We might pick up a few things, but we have no agenda. Last year, I was home by 3:30 am, so we were not out a long time. I have most of our shopping already done.

No. I usually inadvertently go shopping the afternoon of Black Friday (I'm off work, so why not buy something for me), but this year I'll be too busy finalizing our luggage for our flight on Saturday. La Romana calls!

I am. Only because I don't have time to go sales on Saturday. Stocking up prizes/activities for DD1's birthday party.
Last year I did go to target and got an iPad mini for DS. But, I stopped in at like 9 on my way to work. Was in and out in about 10 minutes.
I'm really behind, but I have no clue what to get my girls...

Not me, either. We just write checks to the grand kids, drop them in the mail, and we're done. Same for their birthdays.

No, I don't go shopping on Black Friday. When mom was alive our tradition was to go to the spa that day. This year I will be studying for an advanced certification test I am taking next week. Is it wrong that I am glad it is supposed to rain all day Friday where I live? It just seems like it will make staying home to study a whole lot easier.

We're going this year but we aren't getting crazy with it. You won't see us in line at 6 pm on Thanksgiving or at the butt crack of dawn on Friday.
K-mart has a deal on a Kenmore washer/dryer set. They are $250 each. My FIL offered to pay for half since he knows our current set is on borrowed time. So that means we essentially get a brand new set for $250. We'd be insane to not jump on it.
I went out a couple of years ago to get DH a TV. I wandered into Best Buy around 10:30 am and it was completely dead. The Samsungs for $215 were gone but they had a giant stack of their store brand TVS in the same size for the same price so I still got a good deal.
It was great, they said it was chaos from around 12 am to 6 am and then it completely died out. I was able to stand there and talk at length with a sales person about all the various features their TVs had and pick which one was right for me. Was checked out quickly and they helped me to my car. I don't get that kind of service on a regular weekend.

No, I'm not. I will, however, be going to the annual craft market to look for some gifts that are unique for my sis, DIL, DH, and grandkids. DH may shop online for my gift since it's only available online at a specific price (after a rebate).

I do most of my shopping online. Kohls is honoring their black friday prices now, and I can pick up items in store before Friday, which means I can skip the lines.
I may venture out to Walmart on Thursday night as there are some board games that are heavily discounted and I'm not sure if they are available online. I've been out other years and what I find is I go anywhere from 9-11 p.m., I can find a lot of the things I want and I can avoid the crowds. I stood in line once on Black Friday at Target and I swore I'd never do it again. There is no sale that is worth waiting in line for hours to check out.

I forgot to mention in my post, I will be working on Friday. Even if I wasn't working, I would not be going shopping on Black Friday. I might do some online shopping for my kids & nephews, but no way will I go out in that mess or contribute to that degradation of society. If I don't want to have to work that day, I shouldn't support stores that force their workers to be there.

We will go out, but only because we can walk to the store we want to go to. And, we won't be waiting in line (other than to check out) because I can promise you there is nothing I need so badly that I want to be up all night sitting outside in the freezing cold/crappy weather.
I like going in the afternoon just to get out of my house and people watch. It's even better now that I don't have to drive and deal with the parking lots hassles. When my mom and I lived in the same state, we used to get up to be at the mall the second it opened. It was fun because we were doing it together. Now that she's out of state and it's just DH and I, he would not be so fun to do that with. LOL

DH and I typically do our grocery shopping and our Costco run on Fridays. I hope Costco isn't too crazy.
Other than that- heck, no. Fortunately, the culture in our family is that we don't buy gifts for each other. We did contribute to airfare for DS, DDIL and our granddaughter to join us in Myrtle Beach with my parents. Granddaughter is 19 months old and I offered to pay for a third seat so she could have her own seat and save everyone's sanity. Airfares turned out to be $650 pp so they decided to buy one and I'll buy the other one and they'll keep the kid on their laps. Good luck with that. I also added $4K to the 529 account and bought DGD a new mutual fund. I do plan to get her another Raffi CD.
Having moved in July, DH and I already spent plenty on making changes to the house that we wanted and buying things here and there; I sure wouldn't want to go to the mall and/or stand in line for anything else.

Hell no. I'm not going anywhere near a department store or mall until after new years. I'll order everything online and wait for it to come to me.

I went to Best Buy once about 10 years ago, once was enough. The lines were all through the store and they were out of the TV I wanted but I could get a rain check. Then I drove to the warehouse and picked up the TV that same day. Now I look at the ads and nothing worth waiting in line or finding parking. Amazon will send you gift cards in the mail so I might get another stack of those in nice tin boxes. I save 5% using my Discover Card so 100 gift card for 95 and everyone seems to like the little smile on the box. Last year gave two kids one to share, told the boy order Simpson's season 17 for his sister and keep the change. She learned to shop Amazon now and is learning about money and making choice so she can have her own card to get another season of the Simpsons or something else. She only watches entire seasons every single day and only on discs won't do netflix so has most of the seasons already.
