I don't recall saying anything about Ireland or it's similarities or differences to Israel. What's your point?

We have all kinds of people here, all races, stabbed and killed and I imagine there are lots of people that silently do the same when its some other race. It's just not as public, we are no different. Also, looking forward to your link to a story of Americans stabbed in their beds and the perpetrators' supporters handing out candy in celebration. Can't wait to see it!

Are you suggesting these victims deserved what happened to them? It sure sounds like it...

No ed... I didn't say it... why do you have a comprehension problem... last week PAUL said that we should let the sins of the father be visited upon the child... and now he gets annoyed when pat says that we have people here who get killed but there there is no publicity when the same thing happens here...
Truth is... paul is only ever outraged when it fits HIS agenda...

This was horrific. Yes some Arab woman did hand out candy, there was also many posts by Arabs, Palestinians deploring the attacks.
Granted mostly referring to the children and believing the perpetrator will burn in hell [These , Arabs, are for the most part deeply religious people, no problem believing and having faith, not just words, believing the burning in hell] for eternity and many quoted the Koran that condemns the death of innocents
You might ask why not the Mother and Father , sympathy just for the children or as one who condemned forcefully, but said he could almost understand if the attack was against soldiers , military out posts. These people have been at each other for over 60 years, homes lost, wars, family died, in prison, basically been at war.
These settlers , where the murders, slaughter really , took place, a community of 1000 of deeply religious settlers who firmly believe the West bank was given to the Jews by G-d, and should be taken by the Israelis for their use, and have been violent against Palestinians in the area Recently cutting down of freshly planted olive trees, 400 recently, burning businesses and yes Palestinian also against the settlers too. Just recently Arm shooting 10 Arabs in a conflict with the settlers. A year ago two Arab brothers were shot to death, by Army, picking garbage in the area from the local Arab village, villagers blame settlers from this , Jewish settlement where the murders took place, even though Army said their people did the shooting.
Just a reason why sympathy for the children, parents, less so.

With our support for Israel, from their standpoint, not wanting them Israelis , Zionist there. No middle grown, the masses, the propaganda, the anti on everything Western, the non wordily, not surprising.
[On the candy, sweets, probably by some]

How is any person supposed to get outraged over something that does NOT fit their agenda?

The killing and suffering of children outrage me regardless of where they are, who they are, or who their parents are.... Others only act outraged if they current action fits their agenda (ie. it was a Muslim who did this particular act... so this reinforces mad Paul's agenda that all Muslims are terrorists... so now he expresses outrage, although on other occasions when children were killed or suffered, his reaction was much more subdued... if not blase...)

No, my outrage is over patstab's post that suggested American culture is no different. It's patently false, it's rooted in ignorance of Muslim extremism, and an anti-American, Obama Apology Tour mindset. And it's so offensive that patstab has permanently alienated me unless there's a significant clarification and/or retraction and an apology. It's outrageous that it was even posted here, and it's even more outrageous that it's still here. I'm "we". And we are NOT the same as the people that committed these crimes. It's a personal attack- and that's the way I'm taking it.

Show me where the Irish (it's important to note we aren't Irish either-- OK, maybe later this week for a day) Catholics, or Protestants ever broke into a home and murdered children-- stabbed them-- and then there was a parade and candy passed out in celebration.
I know we've had some rough, and unjust relationships with slaves, with native Americans, and others througout our history. No going backwards. You tell me where the same thing has happened recently- I'll spot you the last 50 years.

By some of your many comments regarding those who you don't think much about , Obama, Liberals, Democrats, even middle to the left I really wonder about that. You have insinuated some drastic things and the contempt for those with such feelings , beliefs,...well , and as far as personal attacks, that too.

We saw the same divergence from the facts when Congressman King tried to hold his hearings on Islam Radicalization. Liberals who testified about this issue kept bringing up the KKK, Skinheads, Right Wing Militia and etc just to divert attention from the subject which is Muslim Terrorism and the threat they pose both to our country and our citizens abroad..
BTW the IRA has finally agreed to peace in Northern Ireland and has the Palestinians, Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood or other Muslim terrorists groups made peace with anyone? Especially with Israel??
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee even went to far as to say that investigating Islam is unconstitutional because our government should not be singling out any religious group for their acts since there are Christians and Jews who have also performed terrorism in this country....Congresswoman Lee was finally gavel-ed and relented with her obstructionist ranting and raving

I am sure the people of Palestine feel justified, based on all the times they have been attacked. This is another area the US should just stay out of.

Are you aware of all the megabucks we have given to the Palestinians....but yet would you like to travel in the Hamas sectors there??? Would you be welcomed by the Hamas or Fatah leaders for a dialog?? Have we gotten any bang for a buck?? The only bang is they used our money to buy weapons to attack Israel or stuck in their off shore banks

PI, like I said, we do not belong in that area. We should not be meddling, but it is good to know we are arming both sides. I thought we just armed the Israeli side. I for one am sick of what being an ally of Israeli has cost us in the international arena. It is time to let them sink or swim on their own.

I don't think religion checks at the border would have flown any better then than they would now.

You know the islamist and their allies on the far left are always crying about US intervention in the middle east, and yet who is crying for help in Lybia right now?

We don't need religion checks at the door, but we need responsible risk assessment performed on individuals who come from countries where islamic extremism flourishes, and we should be monitoring and infiltrating mosques the same way we monitor and infiltrate organized crime outfits, street gangs, corrupt corporations, and other places where crime is suspected. The difference of course is that a terror plot is not fraud, or the plotting of murder or robbery-- a terror plot by islamic extremists, and basically any advocacy for the establishment of sharia is subversive activity and an act of treason or war.
Can you imagine President Lincoln sending the police to arrest Confederate soldiers and read them their rights?
At some point, we have to acknowledge this is war-- and do to warring factions what you do to warring factions: kill them.

If we are so concerned about the Muslims here why did we let them in the country? This sure happened before Obama was president, so who did that? But once they are here and citizens then their religion is protected like any other. We likely have made a mistake letting them in but now its a bit late to shut the door. Europe is also finding that out. So do you change the laws to protect all religions but theirs?? That is not the issue from what little I know but rather our government law enforcement groups would like to see more co-operation with Muslims and Law Enforcement. There has been some of that recently but not enough to satisfy Congressman King and others who are pushing this issue for the Muslims to ferret out the radicals in their community...... Tough issue to deal with on all sides because of the Internet and links with Islamic Terrorists around the world..

I'm not apologizing for anything. Those nut case "Christians" who demonstrate at funerals, talk about crazy. The Christians who kill abortion doctors, these kinds of people are just as much extremists as any muslim. I do not condone what they did, but any religion and all religions have radical nutcases. Just because we are the US doesn't make us any different. And if certain politcal parties are not watched they will outlaw all kinds of rights. We better pay attention to what is happening in our own country and quit worrying about things in others we cannot control. You know nothing of the back story, maybe that womans husband or son or family member has been killed. You never know what is behind behavior without the whole story. I'm outraged by 18 men raping a 11 year old girl, that happened right here and they were bragging about it. There are no peoples free of atrocities, though we like to think that is true of us as a country. I agree there are lone wolves, and small sects who believe themselves to be Christian-- VERY SMALL, isolated, and universally condemned and regarded as unacceptable by mainstream Christians. There's no world-wide crusader movement to spread Christianity at the point of a sword in 90 countries around the world. You can go to any Christian school in any country around the world and kids are not learning that Jews and Muslims are pigs who deserve to die, nor will you find kids "playing" at murdering infidels. I don't even think there's one single Christian theocracy on earth, or even a nation that self-identifies as "Christian"-- let alone a Christian nation headed by a religious madman who is talking about wiping Israel off the face of the earth. And while that rape in Texas is an atrocity-- it wasn't done for political / reglious reasons. I think you're either ignorant of, or flat ignoring the islamic threat. And you're confusing violent crime with a global jihadist movement. There's no practical cultural comparison, nor any moral equivalence to the inferior culture of islamic extremism that thrives in too many places around the world. We are not the same, we are orders of magnitude better. If you insist I'm wrong- pack your things and go to an islamic country. Bring a Bible under one arm and a stack of porn under the other- see how far you get.

At some point, we have to acknowledge this is war-- and do to warring factions what you do to warring factions: kill them.So paul you are advocating that we are at war with all Muslims and that we should kill them? Even as they lay in bed at night? (Edit) Who said that? I am simply saying we have to acknowledge as a matter of policy what we all already know, or should know: There's a global jihad going on. We have to identify the sources, and clean out the nests. Human rights organizations need to stop all the handwringing over the United States and Israel and start focusing on cleaning out the hornets nests in the middle east where a culture of death exists, and where kids are taught racisim, intolerance, and the justification of murder-suicide in the name of Allah.

The Islamic Threat to our country is very real and to downplay it or to divert attention to it is simply wrong...
Members of our government are so worried about it they want the help from Muslims in this country to lessen that threat in case you have been not aware of what is going on here..??

Disaffected Muslims in the U.S. Some Muslims in the U.S. have adopted anti-American sentiments common in certain Muslim-majority countries.[citation needed] In some cases, these are recent immigrants who have carried their anti-American sentiments with them. The Egyptian cleric, Omar Abdel-Rahman is now serving a jail sentence for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He had a long history of involvement with Islamist and jihadi groups before arriving in the US. There is an openly anti-American Muslim group in the U.S. The Islamic Thinkers Society [1], found only in New York City, engages in leafleting and picketing to spread their viewpoint. At least one American not of recent immigrant background, John Walker Lindh, has also been imprisoned, convicted on charges of serving in the Taliban army and carrying weapons against U.S. soldiers. He had converted to Islam in the U.S., moved to Yemen to study Arabic, and then went to Pakistan where he was recruited by the Taliban. Other notable cases include: The Buffalo Six: Shafal Mosed, Yahya Goba, Sahim Alwan, Mukhtar Al-Bakri, Yasein Taher, Elbaneh Jaber. Six Muslims from the Lackawanna, N.Y. area were charged and convicted for providing material support to al Qaeda.[144] Iyman Faris In October 2003 Iyman Faris was sentenced to 20 years in prison for providing material support and resources to al Qaeda and conspiracy for providing the terrorist organization with information about possible U.S. targets for attack.[144] Ahmed Omar Abu Ali In November 2005 he was convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison for providing material support and resources to al Qaeda, conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States, conspiracy to commit air piracy and conspiracy to destroy aircraft.[144] Ali al-Tamimi was convicted and sentenced in April 2005 to life in prison for recruiting Muslims in the US to fight U.S. troops in Afghanistan.[144 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_the_United_StatesNote...whenever I use wikipedia as a source it is rejected by some of our Liberal Poltical Experts here....Oh well you can NOT please everyone all of the time or a few any of the time..
