Interestingly, people seem to be interested early this round. I didn't know about it in advance, but Bernie Sanders held a campaign rally here on Friday. Our area is a Republican stronghold, to say the least. Even so, it seems there were close to 3000 attendees at the rally. It was a small venue so it was pretty well packed and the crowd was, according to reports, very enthusiastic. That surprised me!

... i will give you a scenario where Trump loses the nomination, since you are at a loss for one: ... Here is another: Trump consistently gains 20 to 30 percent of the delegates awarded by primaries and caucuses in which the delegates are proportionally allotted. He arrives in Cleveland with less than the majority needed to win the nomination. Multiple votes are necessary and the GOP settles on a compromise candidate.

first of all, do you think it is inconsistent for Trump to exaggerate crowd sizes? second- i never said TRUMP made the claim. i said that BreitBart and Paul did. i don't know what Trump claimed, honestly, and i don't really care. i only care about the facts. DJ - Nothing was directed at you, nothing at all - didn't read through all the posts. If you feel I was responding to what you might have said, that's not so. Just in case you find that hard to believe, I will offer this as an olive branch - Lo siento. i didn't take it that way, kent. you don't tend to argue personally. no need to apologize. i was just answering your post.

LOL! Yeah, they're a mess, aren't they? My grandsons play video games so I've gotten sorta involved with the gaming community. May I say it's ... interesting? Yes. That's it. It's interesting. The venue here was, indeed, packed to the walls. I think they didn't expect that kind of turnout considering the political climate here. They're supposed to go to Columbia next. Hopefully, this was a warning to them to prepare a larger venue just in case. As I said, this turnout surprised me! ETA: They also added another small venue for the overflow, I've learned, here in the upstate. That took those that would have been turned away and it was packed, too.

See how close the woman with the Jesus poster is to Trump. Right up front. Now here is the picture of the same woman with the Jesus poster. Notice the empty rows of seats behind her. So if she was that close to Trump up front and the stadium is empty behind her, the auditorium was definately not full as one poster claimed.

It sure brought out the worst: Trumps comments found favor with many in the cheering crowd with one local man, Jim Sherotta, 53, telling a reporter from AL.com, he’d like to see bounties placed upon the heads of undocumented workers coming over the border. “Hopefully, he’s going to sit there and say, ‘When I become elected president, what we’re going to do is we’re going to make the border a vacation spot, it’s going to cost you $25 for a permit, and then you get $50 for every confirmed kill,'” Sherota explained. “That’d be one nice thing.” www.rawstory.com/2015/08/white-power-trumps-alabama-pep-rally-brings-out-folks-who-want-to-shoot-illegals-at-the-border/What nice people.

Yes, Jesus wants Trump the Narcissistic Frat Boy to be President. I can't believe people are swallowing it. Oh, well...there's a sucker with a room-temperature IQ born every minute.

There are arms reaching out in that picture that aren't connected to people! Look at the arm that stretches out to the left of the gal in the red Trump hat. That's a right arm and there ain't no person connected to it! There's another disconnected arm to the left of that one. It's a right arm reaching back into the crowd. Don't see a human that could be connected to, either. Curious.

A bad job of doctoring up the photo? I guess. However, I can't figure out why anybody would want to doctor up a photo like that by adding extra arms! That's just nuts, IMO.

I think Trump is added to the picture. Look in the little area formed by his shirt cuff, the mom's hand, and the baby's hand. I see fingers there.

I heard that the reason that Trump wants to keep funding Planned Parenthood is that he is secretly their biggest customer. He consumes their product in order to stay young.

“So, the author of the citizenship clause intended to count foreigners, aliens and those born to ambassadors, foreign ministers, as outside the jurisdiction of the United States. That’s Senator Jacob Howard. He knew, as his reference to natural law indicates that the republican basis for citizenship is consent – consent of the country. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jus_soliok, i looked into this, and what the courts have determined is that citizens born of foreign nationals, whose allegiance is declared (such as members of a foreign army, diplomats, etc) are not US citizens. this would also seem to exclude "vacationers", but it would not seem to exclude non-citizens who were either refugees, intending to apply for citizenship, or permanent residents. in other words, i think it is a lot greyer than your quote would indicate, but the statute is greyer than i previously thought.

You're not a xenophobe for wanting a workable immigration system, and controls at the southern border. I maintain that I'm pretty liberal when it comes to immigration, I would like more legal immigrants to come here for opportunity, and even to seek citizenship-- and I'd like it to be a lot simpler and faster than it is now to come here legally. That being said, there must be a system. This is an 80/20 issue, btw. Most people favor a simpler, easier immigration system, but also one that keeps the dregs out.
