Where's Virgil? Did he get embarrassed by one of his fellow Canadiens and finally throw in the towel? He commented on the Hilary Health thread in politics on Sept 13/16. He said he was too busy to post and would be for a few more weeks. I doubt he would throw in the towel because of Weltz. At least, I am presuming you mean Weltz since you spelled Canadians with an "e". |

I don't, I haven't been able to check in with her since being back from vacation *and* realizing she left. I do know that she left on her own with a reason she posted (although I haven't seen that post myself, but I was mostly gone over a week)
also, I'm going to merge this, if I can figure out how to do so via tapatalk, with the existing thread on "whatever happened to...?" as an FYI

Yeah, let's not go there. I have no idea what I posted and don't really want to know. I'm alive. DH is doing miserably and I have to hunt for a new MS doctor for him and try to get him into physical therapy of some sort so he'll stop falling but otherwise, he's ok. Just waiting for my new health insurance cards to show up. Asshole substitute mail carrier has some bug up his ass about putting mail in my mailbox so I get the feeling they are in some circle of hell. Along with my Food Network magazine and a credit card bill.  I needed to focus on myself and dry out. Sobriety is a bit boring but ok so far. Now I can focus on a new job and losing weight. The usual trite clichés.  |

If she wishes to bone up on H.H. Holmes in advance of the series, might I suggest Harold Schecter's "Depraved." Professor Schecter was one of my favorite professors of English literature in the 1970s, and of course, I nearly dropped dead when I saw a gigantic picture of him under the title, "Depraved." Of course, Holmes, not he, was the "Depraved" in question. I had wondered how a perfectly nice professor with whom I took two courses as part of my minor had gone to hell this way.

He has a good side business in serial killer books. I'm sure they've turned a good penny more than his teaching. So much for depending on a college pension.

I can recommend all of Larson's books for those interested in a blend of true crime and history.
