Take it to the limit- I am sorry, I am not going to perform CPR on your gay marriage child so I recommend you figure out how to do it quickly. How would you know unless you ask before performing CPR? Usually CPR is administered when Paramedics are called to an emergency scene - or by a family member who applies it (if trained) - or in a hospital when a patient is in need of it.
When my DH was unresponsive and I called the paramedics, they rushed to the home & patient (in this case, DH) and immediately started procedure, they didn't ask before starting attending to him about our personal life. .

That's old school- Paramedics should be able to refuse treatment to anyone based on their 'sincerely held religious beliefs'
Funny thing- I work in the business and chances are the 'gay' paramedic is going to either save your ass, your child' ass, or your spouse's life. And interesting enough- homophobes aren't welcome- you work for us you save lives. Wonder who sleeps better- people that save lives or people that let people die

So I had a dream last night. I was 13 year old demi. Just sittin' on the Group W bench with the other reprobates.
Then this one lesbianbug gets up and sez
"I mean..... I meeeeeaaan......... You think that after your cleaning up bedpans, sticking your finger up people's butts, stickin' in catheters, probing around the inside of dead people's carcasses, an' carryin; around cups of pee, I may just be too icky for you to treat my innocent child?"
I thought the same thing yesterday.

I don't know any doctor who did this. Nurses do or techs.

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

I don't know any doctor who did this. Nurses do or techs. *chuckle* You obviously don't work in the medical field. I've seen doctors do things you'd never think they'd do. Do they do it often, or with all patients? No, they don't. Will all doctors empty a bedpan or carry pee? No, all doctors won't. However, the really good, caring ones DO do it when something unusual prompts them to, or when an examination requires it.

I almost caught holy jit in Bible Study when I said I liked Pope Francis's stance of don't judge. That is the next line after homosexuality being abhorrent. I am relieved of that responsibility. Let G-d judge, not me.
As far as this case, I agree there were more socially polite ways to exclude the couple. The child will navigate some rough daycare/playground/school/work life politics in it's lifetime.
So many areas I see where "love covers all wrongs" is supposed to hold then doesn't.
