I was starting to get bored, then BAM! Smoker out. Very intense episode. I think Carol's development has been the best to watch. From battered wife to grieving mom to vigilante/spy/Suzy Homemaker... I love her. Also enjoying the possibility of a love interest between Eugene and the new doctor...

That timer scene made me jump. It showed both sides of Carol. How she'd whipped up a casserole & took out the Wolves all in one hour. Excellent episode IMO. But it seemed riddled with commercials. I'd be on the edge of my seat & bam another commercial break. Aaron I wonder how that is going to affect Darryl since he & Rick are already disagreeing on whether or not they should be going out looking for others.

So I feel stupid, but I missed what happened with Aaron, even though I watched the episode twice?

When Aaron was walking the street at the end of the show he found something underneath a dead Wolf and pulled it out, it was his backpack. Recall that he lost it when him and Daryl were trapped in the meat packing plant parking lot with all the semi truck walkers.
He had pictures showing all of Alexandria including the wall. That's how they found them, that's how they knew how to get in.
He's responsible for what happened.
Or at least that is what we are supposed to believe. I am in hot debate with Dh about whether or not Enid (the teen Carl likes) is a spy for the wolves or not.

Interesting.......I think there is something seriously off about her but that never crossed my mind. I just assumed she had seen too much & was just a little touched.

I don't think she's a spy either. Dh says she is b/c she told Carl "This is how WE survive" and we has to mean the wolves.
I took it to mean people in general. You either go bonkers and kill people (wolves) or you kill people in self defense (Rick's group)
"Eat or be eaten" as the Terminites said.

ETA: I think more because she left when the wolves came. She had no idea what was out there, and sticking with Carl seemed like a safer bet than heading out in the middle of an attack, unless she knew the attackers and knew she would be safe from them. Also, what was that whole montage with her at the beginning, a fairly minor character, unless she meant more to the episode than what meets the eye? Could go either way, I guess.

Everyone is saying he's not dead and it was Nicholas getting eaten. I don't want Glenn to be gone but I'm going to be irritated if he's still alive and they're just screwing with us. The neighbors probably think we're nuts. There was a lot of yelling coming from my house last night lol

I wondered if it was Nicholas as well, but I'm not sure. How the heck would he get out of that without getting eaten?
I read that we will see him again - i am thinking flashbacks and Maggie is pregnant.

I decided to go ahead and click on this thread since thanks to Facebook, I already know what happened (we don't have cable and can't watch it on Prime til Monday night). Damn cable-having Facebook friends.

Oh I definitely think she's preggers. When they were having the meeting to plan the quarry thing either Maggie or Glen said something to the other about there being another reason that they had to keep Alexandria safe. It also might be what Gimple said about us seeing a part of Glenn later on. I had someone threaten to unfriend everyone who said anything on Facebook last night. I nicely told him that he can't expect everyone on there to cater to him. WE NEED TO PROCESS TOGETHER ETA I invite him over to watch every week so it's not my fault!

I fell asleep before the show last night, so I had to watch it this morning. I simply avoided the entire Internet before I watched the show. haha!

I always DVR & watch the next night. It took a lot of willpower to avoid this thread yesterday. I am sad they killed him off but if they bring him back it would be weird. No way he could get out of that horde.

I am finally caught up . I knew they were going to kill off a major character this year so I wasn't entirely surprised it was Glenn but I was shocked they did it in episode 3 of the season. Like the host of The Talking Dead said, who else are they going to kill off? It pretty much had to be Glenn or Maggie. Rick and Darryl are off limits (though I am not sure what the hell Rick is going to do in that RV next week?) Carole is so bad ass at this point that killing her off would not be a good move. I did love Glenn though... so sad... I was glad to see that Morgan finally killed one of the wolves. I love Morgan, but he was starting to get on my damn nerves! Then those wolves he didn't kill came after Rick in the RV. Seriously man, when are you going to learn that those people are just going to keep killing. It makes sense for Enid to be part of the wolves but I think that is too easy. My guess is we will see Enid again and the writers have something else in store for us in regards to her character.

I also assumed Maggie was pregnant with her comments when she was staying in the compound.
I hope he's not dead, but at the same time that would be kind of lame, because there is no realistic way he could survive that.

Here is a weird thought I had. I cannot believe they would kill off a main character with no witnesses. If Glenn is dead, his body will be completely gone, never to be seen again. And no one still living will ever know what happened. I can't believe that many zombies would leave enough for him to be 'zombified' if you will. He'll just be gone. I don't see them doing that?

I was thinking about this too. The producers have stated we will see him again in some form so I am interested to see how they are going to handle this. Also, I think it would be an interesting twist if babies were born immune to the disease.

I'm guessing someone finds his pocket watch. Or maybe he survives somehow by blending with the heard using dead zombies as cover sort of like Michonne did.

The watch is a good thought. I hadn't thought of that.
I know they have to kill people off, but it bums me out every time!

I know how you feel. I was sadder when it was Beth though. If they have to take out an original main character I think Glenn was the best choice.

I think the main reason was because she was finally getting out of crazy hospital land and the way she died was totally unexpected to me. Going back to the first season I was really bummed when they killed off Dale. I really liked his character but I do think he was probably the best choice to die at that time. A lot of times it is actually the reaction from the other characters that makes me sad rather than the death itself. I could not stand Lori but her death made me sad because of the way it affected Ric and Carl. Speaking of Carl... he is growing up! I know they don't really talk about time and try to avoid the subject but I wonder if there will come a point when his character just becomes too old in relation to how much time has passed. It is just something I have noticed but it doesn't really bother me on this particular show.

Carl is growing up. He needs to go to his neighbor & get a haircut though! I guess if he gets too old they can feed him to the zombies!

We hate Carl - but at least he isn't as prominent (and whiny) now.
The only good indicator of time is Judith. She looks about, what, 12-16 months now? So zombie apocalypse has only been going on for 2ish years.

I only hated Carl during the where is Carl season. But I also hated Lori for the same reason.

I hated Andrea SO MUCH. I wasn't too sad when she died. I liked her at first & then she just fell apart. I saw some blurb on MSN about characters that almost ruined a series & they included Andrea on the list.

I was reading that in the comics Carol dies, not Andrea. I know they don't follow the comic exactly, but I'm guessing they realized that she was not good for ratings and so killed her off.

I think it would have been very bad for ratings if they killed off Carol. I don't think they follow the comic very closely. I've never read them but from what I understand in the comic Tyrese was a bad ass. Also Daryl was never in the comics.

I liked Andrea the first season and thought it was extremely sad when her sister turned but, yes, after the first season her character was not great.
According to The Talking Dead a lot of viewers want Darryl and Carole to hook-up. Several seasons back I thought it might be headed that way but at this point I really hope the writers don't go there. In the crazy world in which these characters live it is hard for me to visualize any romance. Glenn and Maggie meshed well and I liked them together but I just can't imagine any of the other characters becoming romantically involved.
