So? Plenty of writers do more than one show. Chuck Lorre did 2.5 Men and Big Bang at the same time forever and ever. Big whoop. LOL I didn't say he couldn't do more than one show. I posted that in response to Nancy' post about the rumor that he was doing another show. So many rumors flying around right now. Although it might be hard to do 2 shows in different countries.
I saw that, but it doesn't say what country. Downton isn't a huge season like here in the US, so it's still possible. I don't keep up with too much as far as articles and whatever because you get spoilers everywhere so I just wait and see.

Julian Fellowes has said publicly - more than once - that he is not in control of Downton's end. The show is now owned by NBC/Carnival, and they will decide its future and its ending. The most he can do is not renew (or get out of) the contract he has with them as the creative director if and when he wants to move on. Conceivably they could go on without him, but I'm sure LOTS of folks - both the production machine AND the fans/viewers - would have some pretty strong opinions about this!

But he writes all the shows! How could they go on without him and still have a good show? I think it would be pretty hard, changing writers will change the show.

I re-watched the finale again last night (we have two PBS stations in our area, and they show episodes on different nights).
"That was the last time I shall receive an indecent proposition from a man. Was I wrong to savor it?" (Violet, of course)

My favorite Violet line is still from season 1 when she says with that wonderful expression on her face "What is a weekend?".

I follow Downton Abbey on Facebook, and today they posted photos of the (real live, in-person) Duchess of Wessex with some of the cast members. I've also read that Duchess Kate is scheduled to visit the set while they are shooting this upcoming season.

I'm just realizing that I thought George Clooney was supposed to be in the Christmas Special. Did I miss him?

I have read that it has been officially announced that season 6 will be the last and Kitten I am sure they will do the Christmas special as usual but I am not sure it will be considered the finale. Because I read on FB today that the producers are considering doing a movie to wrap everything up.

Yay!!! You're awesome yogiii! DH is going to be so sad when his show is no more. I'm not sure how he'll tell the difference as long as they're still available to stream. It's a slow week if he only watches 3 episodes during that time.

Oh wow, that is dedication. Perhaps he can set up a Vegas DA trivia tournament?

I didn't know what I was starting when I got him to watch it with me. I think his organizational skills might not be up to the challenge of a Vegas DA trivia tournament though. Too bad I can't find somewhere for him to put all that monetary gain though.

Reading crap on the internets and saw the picture in this article about Warren G. Harding's love child and thought "does Carson have a brother?" article
(Brought it over from the other thread I stuck it in first )

Yesterday I saw the cast picture that they put on the DVD cover for next season and Tom, Sybbie and Rose are not in the picture. So I guess they are all gone.

They are all supposed to be in New York I bet we'll see at least Tom before it's over.

I'd like to see Tom with Edith. Poor Edith. No, it's a little creepy even a midst cousin marriage. Plus, Edith was already flirty with someone at the end of last season, maybe she can keep that going.
