LOL not really a spoiler. It's an ongoing storyline with an unsub Mr Scratch that is taking revenge against the team. Reid is in his crosshairs now. Reid is being wrongly accused of murder, the FBI (except his team) has abandoned him and he is currently in Federal prison awaiting trial. It's a lot more involved but that is basically the gist of it.

I read that Morgan is coming back for the season finale with some info to help with Mr Scratch.  I bet he gets his buddy Reid out of prison.

UUUGGGHHH I so don't want them to drag this terrible Reid storyline out until the end of the season.
I am kind of surprised CL Chocolate Lover hasn't chimed in about this??

I haven't here but DH has been getting an earful. I said it's Reid's turn to be tortured and that they can stop this stupid crap any time. And.....

A couple of episodes is fine but FFS, let's not beat a dead horse either.

In all honesty I think the writers are having a hard time coming up with decent stories each week so they have to drag this out to fill airtime. IMHO this show is really struggling right now. I don't know what the ratings are like this year but I have a feeling they are down.

Of course they're down (not that I've looked, but they have to be). I'm still here because there are still a couple of characters that I adore left, but you can tell a huge difference with both Morgan and Hotch gone and the interactions that are missing. (I'm almost starting to miss the phrase baby girl )

I might agree with you on Morgan even though he was not one of my favs. He did add depth to the show, more than the new guy. Who is he BTW? He looks familiar but I can't place him. But I find him pretty bland. Oh and I am not talking about Alvez. I kind of like his trying to win over Garcia. And of course LOVE his dog! Sorry I got off track there. But I don't agree about Hotch. I don't miss him at all. I just think making Emily the boss was a mistake, she isn't boss material. It should be Rossi. He has always acted like one of the bosses.

Favorites or not, they were part of a cohesive whole that is better than what they have now. New what's his face is pretty dang boring, I still find Tara uninteresting and Alvez is ok. I'm glad Emily is back just because I like her. I think Rossi didn't want to be in charge way back when he came back.

LOL I know he said that but the writers could just write a script saying he changed his mind and decided to take over the team because he felt they needed him to!

I think the new guy, Rossi's friend is incredibly dull & really not needed.  He hardly gets any lines either.  I like Alvez but wish they'd kept up with his dog story.  After the first few it's like poor Roxxy is forgotten by the writers.

I don't mind the Reid arc.  It means I get to see a lot of him every episode.

I'm so annoyed with the Reid story that I can't pay attention to the other half of the episode. I usually crawl way up in my TV when I'm watching, it's Do NOT Disturb television. Not lately. My irritation with the whole prison thing keeps pulling me out of the show.

Yep totally agree!!!
The writers really jumped the shark with this one and the more I think about it the more annoyed I get!
I mean seriously are we really to believe that the FBI would hang one of their own out to dry if they haven't been convicted of anything yet?
Also that an FBI agent would not be placed in protective custody or solitary?
Are you telling me that one corrupt guard controls the entire prison and they can't fix this? Where are the warden/asst wardens?
AND how is it he is sent to a federal prison when he hasn't even had a trial yet? I mean I don't pretend to know the inner workings of the countries law system but I thought they were kept in county/local jails until they were convicted?
AND this team solves impossible cases every week and they can't solve this??
AND they don't even seem to be trying. I mean in the past when one of them is in trouble nothing else gets done until that is resolved!

Okay I just had to get all of that out!

I read this morning that CM was renewed for another season. I'm a little shocked after this season's lame and boring story lines and can only hope they get some new writers (or something) and bring back the bantering, spark, and some life into the show that we all used to enjoy.

I have actually been enjoying Beyond Borders more than the original with the lame Reid storyline. I do hope it turns around next season.

For the first time in ages, I didn't even watch the whole episode, I ran an errand and saw the end. I'm watching Beyond Borders but I'm still not thrilled with it. I watched last night & kept thinking they did this in the original and so much better.

With the season finale or next year. Morgan is coming back for the season finale so hopefully this whole Reid fiasco storyline will be done with. As far as next year I do hope the writer's realize how bad this season was and it gets better!

I had a feeling that it was him but didn't know name. I added to my post "is it the guy whose hair style changed with every episode"? then I deleted that part in case I was way off base   WOW I remember more about the show than I thought. I did watch the first season pretty much then gave up. Probably catch it on reruns one of these days!!

ION television - Noon to midnight (ET) every Monday and Tuesday. DH watches it every frickin' week. He's actually even been remembering to stay awake and watch it on Wednesday nights, which is unusual for him. He doesn't remember diddly-squat to tell me about it later but he has been watching it.

It's one of the channels I have. On xfinity here so don't know if your provider carries it. Ion shows a lot of different rerun shows. Some really old stuff too.
