Probably it will not get interest because no chance to argue except I will like to post here and possible other people
I believe 2 mostly important things for life are compassion and gratitude. We do not discuss charity to public so I do not request you to tell what do you do to practice compassion only think of it. Here is to tell 3 things you are grateful for today.

I am specially sad for people who can not walk and I see they have trouble even to go in a store sometimes and such. 2 Mother in law When I went to USA first of all she was so nice to me and made me feel homely. I was scared and lonely and she took me to her home and gave me hugs and tea. 3 Faith It is my guide for life and also it has customs and traditions to help my hold my culture.

I love it! An online gratitude journal!
Ok, here's my 3 for today. A senior citizen I know, who's a real sweetheart, came up to me today, & wished me a belated Happy Birthday, & actually apologized for not calling me on the day. (Of course, I told her I appreciated her good wishes.)
Second, I'm thankful for a pantry full of food when we've got a snowstorm coming tomorrow.
Lastly, if I DO get snowed in, I can still talk with all of you here!

Excellent topic:
- I'm grateful for a warm home, and safe community to live in.
- I'm grateful for the people/family in my R/L world who love & care for me, and whom I love.
- I'm grateful for my loyal online NotMSN friends - who are my second family - and I feel just as blessed for the pleasure of knowing all of you. We've shared laughs & sorrows, smiles & tears. We've agreed and disagreed - but still manage to stick together.

That your husband brought you back to the United States?

Then we got independence in 1971 so it was Bangladesh when I got born. I was arranged to marry when I was 18 years and already my husband and mil were at USA.

You seem to have been living in the U.S. for a while. 1. What do you like most about living in the U.S.? 2. What do you like least about living in the U.S. (customs, culture)? 3. What did you like most about growing up in Bangladesh? 4. What did you like least about growing up in Bangladesh?

Sounds like your MIL has adjusted to the USA's ways. And I'm sure you are beautiful. I adore your English. It's so much more interesting and charming than mine ever could be so I'll start with being grateful that you are here with us. 1. Tiki and other new posters that have joined our amazing online community. 2. DH and our kitty family and our home. 3. My awesome friends - both here and in RL. 4. Margaritas, Mexican food and wine. I had too much tonight celebrating my bestie's birthday and I am grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with her.

No cats puking on my bed today. A family member recovering well from surgery. Unseasonably warm weather that melted the snow we had.

What a lovely thread, tiki! Thanks for starting it! Today, as every day, I'm thankful mother has no pain. I'm thankful for my family's support and love. I'm thankful for a lovely, 71 degree, sunny day before the cold moves in.

As a nation and people, I do think we are lacking in gratitude. I think that is truly why so many people are so miserable despite having so much.

1. I am grateful that my mother voluntarily gave up driving (and that her last attempt to drive did not hurt anyone).
2. I am grateful for my neighbor who cleared the leaves from my lawn as well as his own.
3. I am grateful for easily accessible and affordable (for me) food.

Well, I can't be grateful for the cat not puking but I can be grateful it wasn't on my bed.
1) DF who is loyal and faithful and loving and ALIVE
2) grateful for someone and their family, who in the time of their deepest pain and sorrow, made another sacrifice to save people they didn't even know
3) my kids, who although are not perfect, do not give me half the sorrow and shame that I see others have from theirs

1. I am grateful for Florida and it's very pleasant weather. 2. I am grateful that my DH knew how to fix the dryer and it only took him part of the day and it was only $60.00 for the parts. 3. I am grateful that when Molly went to puke on the carpet in the bedroom I just finished eating homemade chicken and rice soup and was able to use the bowl to catch most of it. Soup anybody?

Today I'm grateful I have a fridge and cupboards full of food, and don't haven to venture out into the frigid temps to slide my way on ice to the store (freak weather storm and cold front that moved in late Sunday night).
I'm grateful my neighbor who always cleans my sidewalk of the ice & snow & asks if I need anything picked up while he's out (he drives a Jeep and goes out daily to his job so it's no burden for him to make a pit-stop for me if necessary - or any of the neighbors since he's out there anyway.)
I'm grateful my gimpy legs weren't bothering me too much today - even with this miserable cold. I think I should sleep well tonight.

Today I am grateful for:
1. In spite of snow pack & ice on the roads, I did not get into an accident today.
2. My relative is now moved into his new apartment, & should be able to stay there long term.
3. We are finally getting an idea of DS's medical issues, & it looks like it isn't anything that would require surgery. (Hooray for the newer prescription drugs!)

Every single day I am thankful for the health of my family.
Almost every single day I am thankful that I can hear my children laughing bc I think it is the best sound in the world.
And every single day I am thankful that we have the things we need.
And just today I am cautiously thankful that my refrigerator issue might actually be resolved....
