If you're a hugger like I tend to be, and you have someone you doesn't like to be hugged, you can always say " hug, hug" to them, so they understand that you care about them in a huggy way, or sometimes, hug just their forearm by squeezing it gently while standing at a distance from their personal space. I've been told by some definite non-huggable types that they appreciate both ideas.

I am a hugger. I hugged the dude that sold me my DSD's car (I thought of grabbing his arse too, but I thought that MAY cross some line). I hugged his 80 year old dad too (briefly thought of grabbing his booty but figured he would have a heart attack so I refrained).
Seriously though....I am a hugger. That is one thing I loved about living in the south...they were huggers and I love to be hugged and to give out hugs.
