What are the weirdest real names of people you actually know?
I had a friend who's dad was named Jack Frost.
I also knew a guy named Rip VanWinkle. He was a fun kind of crazy, and his parents, both being teachers, apparently weren't too worried about him getting teased.
My mom babysat for a lady who was going to name her son Nebuchadnezzar because it was a name in the Bible (King who threw three hebrews into a fire when they wouldn't bow to him), and, well, kids will make fun of any name if they want to. My mom convinced her it was a bad idea, that yes, kids will find a way to make fun of "Josh" or "Jim" or whatever, but this was just setting the kid up. I can't remember what she ended up naming the boy, but it was not Nebuchadnezzar.
I know another man named Smokey--not a nickname, his real first name.
My son went to school with a kid who had a really odd name. Can't remember for sure, but I think it may have been Bojangles.

Hmmm. The only person I can think of is this chick I know that goes by Apple. Who does she think she is? A child of a famous person or something?! I know people who have famous people's names. Both their first and last. But other than that I got nothing.

There was a little kid in the last town I lived in who was named Kenis. I wonder, were his parents never in middle school?

We have some great odd/old fashioned names on both sides of my family. We got an Ermyl, a Myrla, a Neama (Nee-am-ah), a Lesleve (les-la-vee & male), then the great sing song names...GayNell, Sue-Anne, & Joy Lynn. then there's the good Southern names..Beverly Jean, Barbara May, Dorothy June, & Paula Kaye, Virgil Lee, and of course Robert Wayne, Robert Norris, Robert Gene, & Robert Jesse James. There's a Robert Jesse James on BOTH sides of my family tree.

Steff - so long as they are not the SAME Robert Jesse James on both sides of the family just try to think how much easier it makes greetings at family reunions. lol

Just got a FB post from my flaky SIL (second wife of DH's brother)- their new great-grandson is named Phoequin. No, I DON'T know how to pronounce it!
I should also add that my preppy nephew and his wife named their twins Hudson (boy) and Eveleigh (girl).

Little boy in our neighborhood is named Cutter. His parents are in the cattle business, but really?
Cut 'em in, ride 'em out, Rawhide!

Forty + years ago, I took Social Security retirement apps from a "Harry Balls" ( no I am not making this up ) and a gent named " London Stanley Bridge." Who could ask for anything more ? They had the birth certificates to prove their names.
I also knew an elderly lady named Precious Love, who was in her 80's . Some people I worked with were making fun of her name, but I told them that it just showed that her mother must have loved her baby very much.

Geologist friend named her boys Stone, Slate, Clayton, and Colton. The last two often drop the "ton" off the names.

Used to work and go to church with a lady named Dot Staines (her married name)
Used to work with a guy who's last name was Ick. No first name would be good with that.
Another guy last name Annis. I would pronounce with the short A sound, but he pronounced like anus

There used to be a lady that I called every so often at Blue Cross whose name was Chlorine Presley. I had forgotten about her. She was pretty cool, too, as long as you didn't mess with her.

Brother's prom date: Candy Cane older sister of a classmate of mine (8th & 9th grades): Anita Boner girl in high school with me: Cinnamon Coffee daughter of a friend (first and middle names): Ruthless Destiny (I should add here, I love her name. For those of us who knew her father, and knew his dreams for her, it is the perfect name. And she has grown into an amazing young woman.)
