Doesn't she know that Coach is soooooo yesterday? Their sales have plummeted and many of their stores are closing, including the outlets...who by the way, doesn't sell first line Coach bags.
If you want to stay "on trend"....Michael Kors is the brand you want to buy.
Oh the drama of it all..................

Glad she is NOW focusing on life decisions Wonder what they all thought of her winner of a boyfriend? He already had other unrelated charges against him, including arson! I don't understand how these women get involved (and voluntarily STAY) involved with these losers...

I still prefer Dooney & Bourke because they never wear out. I have both, they seem to wear comparably for me. I'm still carrying the last Coach purse I bought - about 3 years ago - and it still looks brand new. I'm too lazy to switch things out, but probably will soon as I'm getting tired of it (and the purse desperately need to be cleaned out).

Coach is what middle-class people buy to feel upper middle-class. Only problem is that middle class people don't go in there and buy 6-8 purses at a time. Even at the outlets, you're still talking a $1500+ bill.

I don't understand how these women get involved (and voluntarily STAY) involved with these losers... Maybe she encouraged him to set the fires so she would have something sensational to report on. Geeze, I hate it that I am so friggin jaded ETA: She's a loser too in my book. I bet he didn't lead her down the path of shoplifting. She just had to say no and him.

I don't get the appeal of Coach myself. Although I think that is primarily because I hate the fact that they insist on slapping their logo all over the bag and they've tried to become too trendy.

Coach has some very nice bags - you just wouldn't know they're Coach because they don't have the logo plastered all over them..... they're also nearly $1k a pop.

Coach has some very nice bags - you just wouldn't know they're Coach because they don't have the logo plastered all over them..... they're also nearly $1k a pop. I used to admire Coach because they expanded from a luxury brand known mostly to the well-heeled to a much wider "aspirational" market (who couldn't afford a Mercedes-Benz or a McMansion in Westchester but, by golly, they could put a Coach bag on their credit card) and kept up their image as a quality brand for years. That's changed. The well-heeled have moved on to Kate Spade, Michael Kors and probably some I've never heard of. Last time I went into a Coach outlet store, it was all flimsy materials, cheap-looking colors and made in China. I have some of their older pieces (including a purse made in NYC in the 1980s that a hotel check-in clerk offered to buy from me). Big difference.
If I were going to spend $1K on a bag (and I'm not) it would be something made in Italy, not China, or something bought from the person who made it. Buying as $1,000 Coach bag would be like buying a $1,000 pair of shoes at PayLess. Doesn't matter how good they are; it's a cheap brand.

I don't know if it's a cheap brand, especially when you compare it to brands like Rosetti, Nine West, etc., but I don't consider a luxury or even semi-luxury brand. I consider it a mid-range brand that is hit or miss quality. I do think Michael Kors and Kate Spade are heading in that direction as well. Although I prefer both brands to Coach. If I win the lottery and I'm spending $1000 on a purse then I'm buying Louis Vuitton or Burberry

I couldn't imagine spending $1,000 on a purse even if I won the lottery. Just not my thing I guess. I might spent $1,000 a pair of jeans that make my ass look fabulous though

If I had the money I'd buy a couple of crazy Judith Leiber bags, but they are in the $5k range and that is never going to happen.

If I had a wife that wanted to buy a $1000 purse, I'd tell her there better be $990 inside of it! This is probably one of the reasons why I'm still single.

I can understand spending money on clothes or maybe even shoes, but don't really get the whole $400 purse thing.

You only have real marriage if you are common potters, if you never use the words "I let...", "I allowed..." with your SO, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, you poop in front of your spouse with the bathroom door open.

I just can't get over why the heck someone "needs" it. It looked like a Dept. Store. All that was needed was some snotty sales person who doesn't make enough to buy the product.
And were those big photos of her?
