Wow, I'm shocked at the numbers. But, when it was still on the MSN site I hardly ever posted and that was just to the investing forum - mostly because of being new to internet forums and stuff. I wonder how many of those people kind of fit into that same category and if there is a way to welcome them into the board more full time. Like a welcome thread where newer posters can introduce themselves and talk about which topics they are interested in, stuff like that. If there are bloggers on here and they reference this board, that would give some visibility.

Looks like my write-in is going well. I'll write an acceptance speech tonight.

There are only 15 candidates...does that mean that everyone in the running automatically gets elected? I voted but I am not really seeing the point

Really? I swear I counted 15...I even counted twice! I'm sitting in the sun drinking some mojitos....I'm wondering if that is leading to my fuzzy counting skills??lol. Then I clicked on 17 names when I thought I only clicked in 14!lol. Good thing I'm a CPA.....lol

Poll will remain open until 10 am mountain time (noon eastern) on Wed, June 11, and you will not be able to see the results until then. Moderators for some boards (like IBB) are not being included because I don't feel those boards need changes. Editing to add, for those that are wondering... we have 18 people to choose from. We need: 3 EE 2- 3 current events 4(?) PM 4-5 YM -------- 15 tops, and that's if I hold people to 1 board- which I really don't know yet. So basically, the ones with the fewest votes will be out. So in actuality maybe only 12 or 10 might get in.

Since many of the admins are running isn't it only fair that their running mates have access to the same info? Otherwise incumbents can be campaigning behind the scenes if they know they are in trouble but new runners won't know if they are trailing. Poppycock. Sure, anybody who VOTES FOR VIRGIL HAS THEIR NAME ENTERED INTO A RAFFLE FOR $1,000.00 IN PRIZES*, INCLUDING AN INCREDIBLE GRAND PRIZE OF A PLAYSTATION 4 PLUS ACCESSORIES. This prize* and so much more could be yours for joining Team Virgil. *Limited quantities available. Deal may not actually be honoured. ...but that's not so much a campaign tactic as it is a gift from Virgil to the wonderful community at NMSNM, celebrating our collective wisdom, spirit, and countless other good attributes. Just think what a picture of Virgil snuggling up to a snow leopard would do!

Just think what a picture of Virgil snuggling up to a snow leopard would do! I'll bribe voters. I'll run 24-7 attack ads exposing competitors' intimate family details. I'll con 90-year-old widows and use the proceeds to supply drug-addicted voters if it will net me a few more votes. But you will never find such a picture. My depravity has limits.

will the results be published? I don't expect much change, but certainly hope for it!
this may have been answered already, but I didn't read every post regarding the vote.
thanks you.

Hey Virgil...how do you feel about having a cat as a house pet?
<sits back and awaits as Virgil's votes fall off a cliff>
I... *urk*... love all animals great and small. Thank you Ratchets. Why don't you tell us all what you think of the "mean girls" again? I insist.

Break it up you two. Dayum do I have to get the bat out again ?No ma'am. Ratchets and I already saw how you beat down that poor old homeless man. By contrast, the good voters of NMSNM know that Virgil is pro-homeless and anti-violence. File Photo: Virgil provides less fortunate NMSNMers with a hot meal and a friendly smile. You have a crack addition you say? I don't judge you. Drug addictions are difficult to overcome. That's why if I'm elected, I will increase funding to the NMSNM Anti-Drug Administration (NADA) by 200% over the next 12 months. We'll get you help, Sugilite.

Hmm, that's great and all...but I didn't notice any cats in the pictures. I wish I had another hand, so I could give that three thumbs down . For a man neck deep in the IRS "targeting" scandal, you're awfully quick to cast aspersions. Meadows: Ratchets' [...] IRS Targeting Scandal

He's Canadian Ratchets - I'm sure they have their version of the IRS but maybe it's a kinder and gentler version?

Ohhh...I see now! You don't like cats, but you DO like the IRS? I'm a freedom fighter man, just like Robin Hood! I suddenly feel this overpowering need to start singing "I'm Proud to be an American," but I'm too busy keeping an eye on you to make sure you don't kick a stray cat or something ! Maybe I'm... *ahem*... less than fond of cats because some people take their love of them to irrational extremes. This was you in what year again, Ratchets? 2011? 2012? You took it down off your Facebook page and claimed you were "drunk" so many times it made my head spin. He's Canadian Ratchets - I'm sure they have their version of the IRS but maybe it's a kinder and gentler version? CRA : Canada Revenue Agency And my experience with them has been that they're helpful and efficient. Of course, the Canadian tax code is about 1/20th the size of the US tax code.

(I've worked with both the IRS and the CRA, the CRA (Canadian Revenue Agency) is much more kinder, gentler, and logical)

If we were supposed to say who we voted for, I'd let Virgil and Rachets know I voted for them both - for the entertainment value. However, I can't remember how that discussion of talking about voting ended up because I stopped reading it.
