Admins can see ongoing poll results; however, nobody can see how individuals voted. Since many of the admins are running isn't it only fair that their running mates have access to the same info? Otherwise incumbents can be campaigning behind the scenes if they know they are in trouble but new runners won't know if they are trailing. Poppycock. Sure, anybody who VOTES FOR VIRGIL HAS THEIR NAME ENTERED INTO A RAFFLE FOR $1,000.00 IN PRIZES*, INCLUDING AN INCREDIBLE GRAND PRIZE OF A PLAYSTATION 4 PLUS ACCESSORIES. This prize* and so much more could be yours for joining Team Virgil. *Limited quantities available. Deal may not actually be honoured. ...but that's not so much a campaign tactic as it is a gift from Virgil to the wonderful community at NMSNM, celebrating our collective wisdom, spirit, and countless other good attributes.

Anyone can campaign "behind the scenes" if they wish to do so. Knowing the results, or not knowing them, doesn't change that. Most elections, some people do campaign and some don't. Besides, there's really no way to do what you're asking the way the polling system is set up, later. It would be far too cumbersome and I doubt it would change the results much, even if it could be done. People are capable of making up their own minds for whom they wish to vote and I'm sure they'll do so. Ya, moon's plain "no" was less patronizing. If seeing the results makes no difference why did moon choose not to show them to the whole board? That is a rhetorical question. No need to continue the discussion.

You're bribing voters by offering them a photograph of a Playstation4 + Accessories?

I'm sorry if you took it that way, later. Frankly, I don't think seeing results does make a difference. YMMV

You're bribing voters by offering them a photograph of a Playstation4 + Accessories? And flattery. Don't forget that. There's plenty more where that came from. By the way, did you polish your avatar or something because your posts are just... wow!... sparkling today! Seriously.

Would it be "good luck" to be voted in or not voted in? I was soooo thinking the same thing! I am still not sure if I should be hoping I win or lose. I think you'll be good, so I'm hoping you'll be inducted.

Because that's just how i chose to do it. we all know you're busy working your little fingers to the bone PMing people who NOT to vote for anyway.. i really have to wonder though.. is there anything you WON'T complain about? you're never happy with anything that gets done around here..

The board wants to know......who are the Koch brothers supporting? Who is getting contributions from Soros? I could be bought , you know, just tell me right now..Does California Chrome win the triple crown?? (Got to place my bets you know) The Koch brothers and George Soros were so impressed by my platform, they hosted a joint fundraiser to fund my campaign. By the end of the evening they were holding hands and singing 'Kumbaya'. Vladimir Putin agreed to move out of Crimea, and Pres. Obama apologized for the US' economic sanctions against Russia. Bashar al-Assad stepped down and opened Syria to free democratic elections. The Syrian rebels took to the streets praising him for his change of heart and vowing no more retaliation. The US Treasury Department admitted the US is bankrupt and called an emergency session wherein the Republicans and Democrats agreed to steep spending cuts and significant tax increases to balance the 2015 budget. Sen. Reid and Rep. Boehner stood side by side to call the historic deal a "triumph of bipartisanship", and each one credited the opposing party for the deal's success. Major banks in the US, the UK, and Belgium admitted to manipulating commodity prices, skimming profits from currency exchanges, selling credit derivatives in bad faith, and lying about the financial health of their institutions. They accepted harsh sanctions that would see them repay 80% of everything they'd stolen over the past 50 years. Market pundits and voices for the rich such as Forbes Magazine lauded the agreement, saying "it's about time" big finance was held to account for its lies and excesses. In central Africa, onslaughts by Islamic radicals ceased and the 200 kidnapped schoolgirls were returned to their families with tearful apologies. In Asia, China admitted it was faking its economic data and pledged full transparency in future. The announcement was somewhat overshadowed by China's aggrieved admissions that the Communist Party is indeed quashing unprecedented levels of public dissent. Thailand's military stood down and apologized for its aggressive coup. The ousted Thailand government was quick to accept the apology and return to the business of running the nation. Border conflicts between China and India ceased, as did the squabbles between the Chinese and Japanese over ocean and island rights. As for the Japanese, minister Shinzō Abe admitted that his economic policy was a failure and committed to a radical restructuring of Japan's economy. In Europe, ECB chairman Mario Draghi admitted that the Eurozone is an economic failure, that numerous European nations are bankrupt, and that ECB intervention thus far had been a game of smoke and mirrors to delay the inevitable collapse of the union. Greece, Italy, and Spain all pledged to accept drastic austerity measures and thanked Germany in particular for its continued economic assistance. The French pledged to cut social programs to provide additional financial support to their neighbours, and separatist sentiment in the EU dropped to negligible percentages almost overnight. Protests in the PIIGS nations ceased, and Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras received overwhelming nationwide support for his campaign "Έλληνες εργάζονται σκληρά κολασμένων." which roughly translated means "Greeks work damn hard!" An announcement by Israel that it would return all annexed lands to Palestine was preempted by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal declaring that all of Palestine's lands would be freely shared with Israeli Jews. Leaders from Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and other neighbouring states praised both parties for reaching a diplomatic resolution. John Kerry and Hillary Clinton briefly told reporters they were pleased with the agreement but otherwise refused to comment, claiming it really was none of their business and the US would stay out of it. In Afghanistan, anti-US insurgents laid down their arms and began dismantling their opium farms while US soldiers began boarding planes to come home, leaving behind Afghan friends and loved ones who entreated them to come back soon. Really, wyouser, it was a heck of a fundraiser. I'm kind of sorry you missed it.

I think it's awesome so many people voted...it says 111, and I wouldn't think we had that many really active posters. Good stuff !!
It varies Monday to Friday about 400 active members within a 24 hour period. Weekends are slower and summer is even slower still. (correct me if my numbers are off)

I check out a lot of other Boards, we are one of the big ones. Moon & the mods have done a really fantastic job on here to build it up. And I should also say a big help has been the membership. Everyone has a hand in making this board a success.

So on average 11 votes placed per person. Interesting!
