Would it be "good luck" to be voted in or not voted in? I was soooo thinking the same thing! I am still not sure if I should be hoping I win or lose.

thanks VB.. but don't thank me.. it's how PB designed the polling system, rather than anything I did, lol. Damn it, take the credit. You get blamed for everything else anyway!

good point, lol.
i did realize after the poll was up that djpolldancer had asked questions about moderating.. but never said "put me in"..... so we may have one other that might have wanted to be included. if so, i'm not quite sure what to do because I can't edit the poll.

I really do not think dj is capable of sanctioning anyone. He would be way too busy trying to change their mind on the subject

There really is only one thing to do... We'll have to officially change his name to djpollmisser.

The only thing to do is ask him if he wants in, then delete this poll and start another if his answer is yes. He did ask before the Poll went up.
OR have a separate poll for djpolldancer all on his own.

He asked the questions slightly more than three days ago and expressed no interest beyond that point. I think it's fair to assume he's not interested. Or at least not interested enough to say anything, because he's been around chatting as usual for three days without submitting his name. If he wants/wanted to be considered, it's unfortunate, but redoing an entire election is a big deal. It's up to whatever DJ and Moon work out in private.

He's said that now is not the right time for him to do this, so no changes will need to be made.

One more question, if I may? Why is DiverDown being replaced? Is it his choice or does he need someone to stick up for him?

So how do we access the poll? I think I'm missing something here. it's at the top of this thread. but if you are using a mobile browser -in mobile, not desktop - view, you won't see it. you'll either need to use a pc, tablet, or switch to desktop view in your mobile browser. there's a link at the bottom of the mobile page to do so.

I voted... I wasn't sure about one of my choices.... but I voted for ME anyway! When my daughter was in high school, she was running for president of something. She felt "funny" about voting for herself.
I told her, "If you don't think you are the best candidate, then don't run. You don't think Bush voted for his opponent, do you?"
The best she could do was "not vote." Lol.
Good for you for voting for yourself. You think you are the best candidate!

I hope everyone running voted for themselves. If they didnt, maybe they should rethink running.

In high school I ran for VP of our radio club and didn't vote for myself. Lost by 1 vote. The guy who won stopped being active so I took over unofficially. I voted for myself here by writing myself in.

Can Admins see the ongoing poll results or see how people voted?

Can Admins see the ongoing poll results or see how people voted? Admins can see ongoing poll results; however, nobody can see how individuals voted.

Since many of the admins are running isn't it only fair that their running mates have access to the same info? Otherwise incumbents can be campaigning behind the scenes if they know they are in trouble but new runners won't know if they are trailing.

Otherwise incumbents can be campaigning behind the scenes if they know they are in trouble but new runners won't know if they are trailing. if i could have ensured no one could view but me, i would have. and, in actuality, i didn't know whether admins would still be able to see it or not because i've never done a 'hidden results' poll. for all i knew it would have been only me that could see it. turned out not to be the case.
can't edit polls once they're posted either- not that i would.

Anyone can campaign "behind the scenes" if they wish to do so. Knowing the results, or not knowing them, doesn't change that. Most elections, some people do campaign and some don't. Besides, there's really no way to do what you're asking the way the polling system is set up, later. It would be far too cumbersome and I doubt it would change the results much, even if it could be done. People are capable of making up their own minds for whom they wish to vote and I'm sure they'll do so.
