Bruce, I was going to say 40 but thought I would keep my month shut. LOL I think the buy all of the time would be right. JMO TY3, YES, buy and let the float average your risk to neutral. I live on the risk side of bet on Black. Buying when others are selling. Well, it has been a great bull market in bond and now the average investor is buying bonds the Expert 50/50 system is leaning to buy. Buy in May and never sell: posted by me in early May.
Was I right, Was I wrong; a little of each, a little of both, I will do it all over again. Often wrong but never in doubt. You have to buy at the breakout from the bottom.
Just a thought, Bruce

Well, lets see how we did for the week. I did 9 trades with 7 winners and 2 I broke even with. The 2 I broke even on were outside my buy times and the stock didn't set up right for the formation I look for. In the first hour of trading, the first half hour you want to see your stock make a high in the trading so far with the next 30 mintues you see it trade off making a V formation. Sell it 1 hour later or if trending up wait till you see ^ or M . You want to trade a stock that has good volume be cause when you hit the buy or sell button you want your trade going in at that time. If your stock is moving up for the day it's harder for this formaton to set up but when it does it will be a winner. JMO but check it out, it happens all of the time and worth some paper trades to check it out. Remember a stock with volume, a stock you all ready know, a stock that is growing. Get back to me on this thread and tell me how you did, paper trades only.

Somedays you just don't want to go fishing and today was one of them. Spreads where not big enough to make a lot of money even if you look at the 10:30 prices to 11.30 prices you would have still had winners the spreads in the first hour closed down real quick.

This thread is intended to watch for certain patterns that set up in Down days. The daily line chart is all you have to watch to see the pattern. When a stock you hold is going up, there is nothing you need to do. The only reason for this thread is to help you lower your cost waiting for your stock to go back up and making a little money in the process. And since CASH is KING you also need some of this to make this work.JMO

Watch for the %K lower then 20% and rising above %D. XOM did this yesterday. BiMetalAuPt PS:KASH IS KING! You have the option to change the %K and %D periods of the Fast Stochastic above. The default %K and %D periods are set to 5 and 3, respectively. The Fast Stochastic compares where a security’s price closed relative to its price range over a given time period, and is displayed as two lines. One line is called %K. A second line, called %D, is a moving average of %K. Buy when the Oscillator (either %K or %D) falls below a specific level (e.g. 20) and then rises above that level. Sell when the Oscillator rises above a specific level (e.g. 80) and then falls below that level.Buy when the %K line rises above the %D line and sell when the %K line falls below the %D line. Look for divergences. For example, where prices are making a series of new highs and the Slow Stochastic Oscillator is failing to surpass its previous highs. - "Technical Analysis from A to Z" by Stephen Aechlis

Well this past two week ,9 trades, 9 winners.
Bruce, your right, I look at that for looking longer time frame for stocks and if you don't let emotions control you in your buy and sells it works quite nicely. It's the same looking at a daily chart, you can see it forming right in front of you. Basicaly the high and low spread is made in the first hour of trading and you can make up your mind if you want to short or go long because to me you are at least going to make half of the spread in the next hour of trading and if it's running your way, you let it go until it stops. I've found that when I want to go on a trip or something I want to buy, I just go to the window and collect my money.LOL
