Police found at least 50 bags of heroin in the apartment, I saw it was revised even higher and mentioning other drugs found too. Man, I get addictions are crazy stuff that can be hard to control, but the same reports are saying he was supposed to have his kids Sunday. Just crazy that was going to be high as a kite while caring for his kids and possibly bringing those young kids into an apartment with that much drugs laying around.

On the way into work today they made the report (on the radio) about finding "at least 50 bags of heroin at his home as well as other drugs BUT the heroin wasn't cut with morphine, so it wasn't so bad". I paraphrased a little bit but I swear to God that was the spin put on it. Are you kidding me?

He's still dead. So it was "good" herion? Guess they needed to let anyone who might have bought some from him or he may have shared with that it is "good" herion. What a way to spin a story. I wonder how they traced it so quickly to the dealers. Did they leave their calling card when delivering? Not making light of a persons death but the reports are spinning it every which way from sundown..

I think it's pretty crappy they're only rabidly pursuing the dealer because he was famous.

I'm pretty sure they go after dealers most of the time.

Later, I figured you would be more sympathetic than you are. I've known too many people that have made the same choice with the same consequence and then get sainted after they die. Once he had gotten clean and stayed that way for over 10 years he KNEW. He knew he had a choice. And he made the selfish one.

This is going to sound really bad, but honestly if I were the mother of his children part of me would be a bit relieved he died. Heroin addiction runs in my family and I have no illusions about the toll/ugliness of it. I would NOT want my kids anywhere near their father if he was less than six months clean. And good luck to her trying to prevent it when he has money to fight for custody. 50 bags of heroin in his apartment Yikes.

Many of my friends talk about how their first drugs were drugs they stole from their parents. Yikes.

Even without money it's hard to prevent a parent from having their kids alone at least some of the time.

I paraphrased a little bit but I swear to God that was the spin put on it. Are you kidding me? I believe what you heard was that the heroin was not cut with Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid analgesic said to be 100x more powerful than morphine. Fentanyl-laced heroin has been responsible for a number of overdose deaths, including 59 people in Maryland and Pennsylvania during a one month period. Is ìt possible (what you heard ìn the news this morning) the authorities were relieved Fentanyl-laced heroin ìs not being widely sold ìn the NYC area and therefore, "wasn't so bad"?

His partner/their mom called some friends of his when he didn't show to pick up the kids. That's why someone went to check on him.

I paraphrased a little bit but I swear to God that was the spin put on it. Are you kidding me? I think what they're trying to say is that it was just an overdose, not a reaction to any additives. Fentanyl is becoming a huge problem in PA - it's a serious pain killer that is being laced into heroin and other drugs. My dad had fentanyl once - turns out he is one who has a bad reaction to it - his heart stopped for several seconds. Thankfully it started back up and he was in the hospital after surgery at that time, but if that happens to someone in an apartment doing drugs, there is no chance. www.cnn.com/2014/01/30/justice/pennsylvania-heroin-deaths/
