Update
Marking Week 51
Tues: 36 exams (Grammar) 36 exams (Vocabulary) 36 essays (formatting)
Wed: 36 essays (content) ? Last 6 papers
I'm starting to get VERY nervous about the Christmas shopping (it's literally the ONLY thing I always do at the last minute). DS3 and DD are done but not DH, DS1 or DS2. DH will shop for the UK family (unless I happen to see something).
I'm going to the dentist tomorrow, assuming the crowns are in. That will take about 2 hours with the driving. The rest of the day will be spent marking.
We are signing for the new studio on Fri, which means I will need to sign papers with the property manager (we're keeping the same one the current owner is using) and insurance papers with the bank. The bank is local but I'm hoping I can go to the property manager after Christmas.
Not marking list
- dentist (Wed) - pharmacy (Wed) - GP (?) - signature (Fri) - bank (Fri 2 pm) - property manager (?) - Christmas shopping

I will be happy when Friday is here. Have office luncheons on 2 days this week, one day I need to bring a dish. Evening catch up with my sister over dinner tomorrow evening, and still busy in general at work.
DH just asked the question he asks every year the week before Christmas.....'What should I get the 4 girls at the office?'' and then it sucks because I come up with something, a food item, a candle, some token thing that he just has to deliver. hahah, why have we never just taken care of it in October?

Good question, Pluggin, but I'm the same way lol. For me it's because I absolutely LOATHE shopping, so when I need something, I'm in and out of the store / mall as fast as humanly possible.

pluggin - I would vote for something small and easily re-giftable. Like a mug and gift card to Starbucks or a nice candle. If I don't have a really clear idea of what someone would like I make it easy for them to re-gift so it doesn't linger and make them feel guilty. Of course for my office team (doctor I visit 2x a month) I just wrapped up a big box of chocolates! nuttin - such a cute pic on your profile! Congrats on adding someone to your count this year STILL waiting on the couch delivery and now worried it'll make me late to dinner. The dogs must know something is coming because they've been driving me insane all day long. Also I'm super annoyed at my bank for canceling my debit card and not sending me a new one. Such a pain to figure all of that out when I'm a few weeks away from moving my bank accounts anyway.

Today was pretty productive. I told the oven to clean itself. Vacuumed the last bedroom so vacuuming is finally done. Moved sewing table and sewing machine from kitchen to extra bedroom Finally scrubbed the kitchen floor Worked on Christmas cards they are almost done Changed 2 florescent bulbs in the garage AND Hopefully didn't kill my Grandpa's pothos plant. I gave this plant to my Grandpa years ago. He had is growing all along his fireplace mantle and down the edges to the floor. When he moved from his house to a senior apartment the plant became mine. I trimmed it up and it has been living on top of my microwave for the last 5-6 years. The last several months it has been looking pretty sickly. Today I put it into a new pot with new soil, added some osmocote fertilizer and wiped the dust off the leaves. The soil at the bottom of the pot was soaking wet. I think it was looking so bad because it was just way too wet. I also trimmed it up some. The shock may be just too much.

I'm a big fan of gift cards at Christmas, especially for teachers, etc. It helped that most of my kid's teachers loved coffee, so I just found out if they like Starbucks or Caribou, & bought a card of their favorite.
I did visit Mom for a short time, & picked up her laundry, but I had to wear a mask because of her roommate's illness. The roommate DID sound like she was breathing more easily, so she must be recovering.
I took care of some errands today, & I have more to do tomorrow. It'll be more driving though, as I'll be running over to my favorite meat market. DS has therapy in the afternoon, & then it appears I'll be picking up DD from college on Thursday. Once she has moved back to our house, I'll have to focus on getting my final food shopping list ready for Christmas.

Marking Week 51Tues: 36 exams (Grammar) 36 exams (Vocabulary) 36 essays (formatting)Wed: 36 essays (content)? Last 6 papers Not marking list- dentist (Wed)- pharmacy (Thurs) - GP (?) - signature (Fri) - bank (Fri 2 pm) - property manager (?) - Christmas shopping I'm (sort of) done!!! I finished all 36 papers today! I still have 6 of another exam to do but hey, I've done 108/114! Thank you all for indulging me! I get so crazy excited when it's all finally over (or even nearly over) LOL. Now I can go Christmas shopping tomorrow! ETA: The dentist is another story ... I'm not sure I will ever be done. I got the last 2 crowns put in today but he told me he still wants to replace the 3 last silver fillings, do another cleaning, reglue something, and pull the last wisdom tooth. :-( I was really hoping today would basically be the end of it. Actually that's not quite true ... I had a feeling he would say that about the wisdom tooth. I have an appt next week to check the new crowns. I may ask him if some of that can wait a few months, or if I can start coming every other week. I REALLY want a break from these weekly appts, but at the same time, I am SO VERY grateful to him, and I certainly don't want to seem ungrateful. I'll bring him his gift next Tuesday. I'm getting him vouchers for a show (good for the show of his choice). ETA 2: All I have left is participation marks (for all my classes) and those last 6 papers, all due 5 Jan. I'm hoping to finish everything by Monday, in between the Christmas shopping and errands.

So Christmas is next week. And I still have junk to do and I really dislike shopping this close to the holiday. Though living right down the street from a shopping center does make it easier.
- Finish Dolly and me hat and scarf set( 30 minute project with fleece) - Finish wrapping gifts - Buy FIL his staple gun - Hit up grocery store to get the stuff to make the Christmas goodies - Make the chickens' stuff - Make rice krispie treats - Make macaroni and cheese - Make Dad his PJ pants - Finish making my friend's daughter's blanket - And grab the last couple things for the stockings.

Marking Week 51 Last 6 papers
Not marking list

Sorry about reposting so soon but I needed to see the updated list!
All I have left for school now are the participation marks (for all my classes) and those last 6 papers, all due 5 Jan. I'm hoping to finish everything I need to do for school by Monday, but now my priorities are the Christmas shopping and the errands. I'll do the school stuff as I can.

I had a productive night yesterday. - got everything bagged up and in the appropriate bag for each family/person. - wrote out all my Christmas cards and put them in the mail today. - baked 3 chicken thighs for upcomming dinners this week. - had a really reasonable conversation with my brother so that was good. Now all I need to do is pick up the house and bake some more colonial cookies. P.S. the fudge I made was really, really rich. I could only do a few pieces and than I gave the rest to the warehouse guys to promote good cheer.

LOL Start!
Good job Snapdragon!
Today was super productive for me too!
I checked the absences for all my classes (I need to do that for the participation marks) and went to the pharmacy.
I went to the mall for DS1's gift. Found it, went to the supermarket for a few of his favorites, took it all to the post office and sent DS1 a care package!!! That's exactly what he asked for so he will be thrilled! I hope it gets there in time but he says it doesn't matter if it's a couple of days late.
At the mall I found exactly what DH wanted, so I got that too!
So DD's and DS1's gifts are completely done and sent off. The major gifts for DH and DS3 are done. DS2 wants shoes but I can't get those without him. So all I need now are a few extra bits and pieces, and the GC for my dentist. Whoo hoo!
The mall was HORRIBLE though! I wanted to get the GC today but I just couldn't stand it there any longer.

I still need to pick up a few things and I'm completely dreading it. Even driving around town is bad right now with all the rain people forget how to drive. Hoping to get it all done tonight because tomorrow is business planning all day and then I need to spend the weekend baking and finishing up all the wrapping. I did get my new sofa/chaise assembled and need the company to replace one piece. Will be adding the old couch to my total for 2015 because a friend is taking it Instead of killing myself trying to get rid of 50 items a day to make my goal I'm just going to call it done and start collecting things to donate/sell in 2015. Hoping I can also get the materials to build a new shelf for the new couch. I really like having it behind the couch but i'd like something with shelves for storage. Right now the dogs are banned from the couch and are really cranky lol - of course they have 3 beds in the living room and 2 chairs they can sit on but they all want to sit next to me.

It was just too rich tasting and it would only last for a few more days due to having pomegranate seeds inside the fudge. So I gave it to the guys in the lunchroom. It's hard to believe that something was too rich or sweet. But the tastebuds change as you get older -- or this is what I heard.

Worked a partial day today and did some shopping and yes, the traffic and crowds are tedious to say the least. In one store I stood at the check-out for about 10 minutes because they couldn't get the CC machines to work. Just as I was deciding to leave the purchases and walk out, they got them going, and I did feel bad for the clerks...everyone's patience is running on low!
Already wrapped some, did a load of laundry, and now need to load the dishwasher. Anxious for 2 of my 3 kids to come next week!

plugginaway - what a pain with the CC machines out! I had a horrible time at Home Depot processing a check and reminded them I would use my debit card but it was compromised by their store and is on reorder.
snapdragon - I only bake when I know I can give 90% of it away so I completely understand! I'm sure the guys in the lunchroom enjoyed it!
Got my shopping done and will be finishing up wrapping as soon as the last item is delivered.

DD is back home! The only bad news is, because we had to move ALL of her stuff back home, the entire livingroom looks like the house threw up. I've got to get her to move everything into her room for now. AND, she now knows where she'll be working for her internship, so we can plan on what clothes & items to pack in January.

Update Marking Week 51
- Participation marks - Last 6 papers
Not marking list
- GP - more Christmas shopping
We sign for the studio this morning and I have an appt at the bank for insurance this afternoon. The property manager will send the contract by mail and I'll either mail it back or drop it off after Christmas.
Things are feeling much more manageable than they did just two days ago!
ETA: Closing done. Here we go again LOL. We also gave our lawyer our new wills and new guardianship papers for DS3 (we changed it from DH's cousin in the UK to DS1 and DS2).

I think I've finished Christmas shopping for the kids. Woohoo! I gave DH his options this morning: a. take the kids out of the house for at least 2 hours so I can sort and wrap or b. he does the sorting and the wrapping. He hates to wrap. Plus he's really bad at it. I did give him time to think about it though.

Beth, have him take the kids to the movies. That should burn off a couple of hours.
Debt, nice work on all you have accomplished!
DD is STILL in bed. Recovering from finals, I presume. But, I need to drag her out of bed & get her over to Costco to get her card...

Debthaven - kudos to you for having that all in place! my parent are seeing a lawyer today for their wills, estates, etc. and didn't have any of that settled when I was growing up (my brother and I are 30 & 31 now). I can still remember when I was home from college and my parents were talking about guardianship and my brother (19) asked, "who will take care of us if you die?" He was appalled to find out he would be on his own as an adult. And lived at home for 2 more years lol.
I decided that for my aunt and uncle I would pick up a bunch of kids books for their grandkids and a few toys to keep at their house in rotation. They don't need anything new and do a lot of babysitting. So it's off to B&N today for that and of course it's pouring down rain out there.
Now I'm really annoyed that I can't park in the garage (due to the extra couch taking up room) because it's going to be so messy out there. Maybe I'll work on that before I go...

Start we first did everything before we got married almost 10 years ago. But now the kids are all 10 years older, so it was time to redo it.
Busy, finals are exhausting (trust me lol)

Marking Week 51- Participation marks (Sat/Sun) - Last 6 papers (Sat/Sun) Not marking list- take DS3 to dentist (Sat)- more Christmas shopping (Sat)

I am going to NOT be stressed this weekend. Just need to keep up regular chores, wrap some gifts, and maybe bake some things for coming week. DH will go to bank on Monday for some cash we want to gift kids, and also get some wine. I will probably go grocery shopping Monday since the kids arrive Tuesday. Hope everyone has a productive but not CRAZY weekend!
