NYC Hotel Kicks Out ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star After Confusing Him For Homeless Man

WEST MONROE, La. (CBS Houston) — A New York City hotel kicks out one of the stars of “Duck Dynasty” after an employee thought he was a homeless man.

Appearing along with his family on “Live with Kelly and Michael” Wednesday morning, Jase Robertson described the incident.

“The first thing that happened to me at the hotel was I got escorted out,” Robertson said, joking that it was a “facial-profiling deal.”

Robertson said that the hotel employee simply didn’t know who he was.

“I asked where the bathroom was and he said, ‘Right this way, sir.’ He was very nice,” Robertson explained. “He walked me outside, pointed down the road and said, ‘Good luck.’” Robertson continued, “So I circled back around and my wife said, ‘What happened?’ and I just said I just got kicked out.”

Robertson took it in stride and didn’t blame the employee for the incident. Robertson continued to stay at the hotel despite the incident.

The Robertson family was in New York this week doing a media tour for Wednesday night’s Season 4 premiere of “Duck Dynasty” on A&E. The season premiere was watched by 11.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched nonfiction series telecast in the history of cable television.

The Robertsons operate their multi-million dollar Duck Commander business from West Monroe, La.

Well, as it turns out- Oprah wasn't "judged" at all.  She made the whole thing up.  Let's not forget, she sat in Jeremiah Wright's 'church' for years, too- and she has a history of making up stories of racial discrimination.  But EVEN IF the whole thing is true- and it's a mighty big "IF" in my book, but one which I'll concede for the sake of discussion- EVEN IF it's true, the problem with Oprah is she has a chip on her shoulder having to do with race.  She takes herself too seriously.  And as she would- or should- know herself, what you constantly focus on, you attract. That's why people that are broke, in debt, have bills out the wazoo are broke, in debt, have bills out the wazoo- they think about being broke, in debt, and having bills out the wazoo.  A big (no pun intended) part of Oprah's life is focused on managing weight, and race.  And that's why she's fat, she finds instances of discrimination.  What you continually meditate upon, and focus upon- you reap.  First in the mind, then in reality.  So, even IF it's true, she manifested the incident- according to the doctrine of Oprah.

I would imagine the clerk and store might say Winfry is lying to save the reputation of the store.  Why would Winfry make up the story?  To get a free handbag from the store?  I suppose someone worth $2.9 billion would need the free handbag.

I am not black so you will have to ask a black person on the street why it might be racist.  

I believe there was a female poster on the Racism in the U.S. thread who is either black or married to a black man and they have mixed race children.  I believe she provided a few examples how blacks are treated 'differently' in department stores.

Yeah- you'd think if she could sell a $38K handbag to anyone, she would.  It's not like Oprah can outrun her.  Let her take a look- see where it leads.  

The real problem I have with this story is that here comes this big arrogant billionaire into a shop and she leaves- never takes it up with management, never makes an issue of it there, does not seek a solution to the supposed 'slight'.  Instead, she goes global with it and it could have cost this lowly sales associate her job.  Rodeo clowns, sales associates, independent film makers, church goers, and non-profits- rich and powerful liberals seem to at war with average everyday people.  It's despicable what she did.  It really is.
