Dear sister: You didn't think I'd want to go honor dad on his first heavenly birthday? Go to hell. By the way, you are a terrible example of a good Christian, but you fit right in with what I think of those people. Signed, Hurt and angry Do you want a bus of YM-ers to come punch your sister? We're ready based on what you've posted about her.

H. is annoyed with me. I made a comment on a FB post while he was trying to read. Just one comment. He said he didn't need to hear it. When I'm reading, I can get the entire dialog on a mechanical project. I can read and listen at the same time. No snip.

It was pouring out this morning --- when I was walking to my work entrance I got hit with excess water from a large bus and standing water.

Dear CoWorker
I understand the process is very manual. If you just get over this fact and double check your work we will get along much better. I am the one that will have to handle the issue if you tell me to overpay a person. So I am sorry I ask so many questions.
Signed

I actually played like a flamingo and did the stand on one leg and turn away frozen in place plan. No creative words were used at the time.

Dear FBI, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Thank you for acting very quickly on a potential shooter situation. Thank you for providing armed security at hubby's work while the investigation was happening & for having it there the next day after the report came in. Thank you for discussing with employees what to do & suggesting some new plant entry guidelines. And most of all, thank you for picking up the potential shooter so quickly & removing his ability to follow thru with any violence.
Dear Pawn Shop, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Thank you for calling the FBI with your suspicions when someone walked in and bought body armor & multiple weapons. If only you hadn't had to sell them to him in the first place, but that's a different discussion. Thank you for being so proactive & helping deter what could have been a horrible workplace shooting. We'll never know who you were, but you have our gratitude...more than you can imagine.
Dear hubby's work, Thank you for acting quickly when being informed of a possible threat. Thank you for adjusting the entry rules to make it even harder to get anywhere near the plant. Thank you for providing (unarmed) guards in the parking lots for the afternoon until the FBI could show up. Thank you for informing the employees who to look for & providing a picture of him to everyone. So many wouldn't have a clue who he was because he didn't work on their shift or in their part of the production line. Thank you for taking a potential threat seriously & immediately upon finding out about it.
an employee of hubby's work was fired recently. Hubby described him as "a little weird, but everyone is a little weird on some level". But apparently he got "weirder". He began writing bible verses & drawing crosses on equipment, walls, packaging, etc around the plant. Multiple warnings, multiple write ups, eventually fired for defacing company property. He never made a direct threat on the plant, but it was said that there were "you'll regret this" type threats. Last week a pawn shop called the FBI because this former employee came in & purchased body armor & multiple weapons. He passed all the background checks, so they had no reason to deny the sale. There is no waiting period in Georgia. They also felt he was acting "weird" but don't know what they saw that made them say that. The FBI contacted hubby's work & the next morning were at the plant with armed security. Yesterday the potential shooter was picked up during a traffic stop & apparently there was enough to hold him on terroristic threats, even tho no actual threat was ever sent to the plant. We don't know how the FBI made the pawn shop to former employer connection, but they did & did it very quickly.
It's been a tense few days & we can finally relax & breathe a little.

Dear Car - I know we are refinancing the house and do not have to make a mortgage payment in February, but did you really need enough work done to pretty much exactly equal the February mortgage payment?

Dear Nursing Home, and Dear Hospital:
No, you do not get to decide when my relative is going to die. No, you do not get to withhold treatment. He has informed you, and me, that he wants to keep fighting. I will go along with his wishes, so don't try to make me see things your way. You were wrong about how much more time my Mom had, and I've got a hunch you're wrong this time, too. So, suck it up Buttercup, because you've got work to do. I'm sure it's burning your butt that he's recovering once again. Welcome to my family. We don't go down without a fight.
You may have chosen the wrong career,
Busymom

Dear Dealership - You just did $3600 worth of work on my car. It should not be less safe to drive now than it was before I brought it in.

Dear Coworker Not happy. Started my day with a question about why there was not payment. I totally understand how you missed this payment. I am pissed about the second payment I needed to make since I specifically asked you to double check an amount.

Dear "K", I think you pretty much fit the bill yesterday when it came to oversharing. I did not need to know about your years as a teenage alcoholic. Nor about your current bipolar disorder. You have a position of responsibility in the office. But you really have not handled it well since the get - go. Keeping your door closed and refusing to answer inquiries when asked is not how grownups in an professional work setting behave. There is treatment for bipolar disorder. You have insurance. You have children at home. Everyone around you deserves better than this. You deserve better than this.

Dear Mom,
Thanks for planting in my head that cross training can be code for possibly getting rid of one of us.
That's all I need running around in my head with everything else.
Not that four of us haven't speculated we're playing the Hunger Games.
Probably hyperbole but might not hurt for me to update my resume.

Dear friend, I have heard of people being wary/scared/whatever of the number 666, but I have never actually witnessed it until you. You saw that the raffle tickets handed to you included those numbers, and you asked if you could have a different set of tickets. The good news is you didn't pitch a fit or refuse to take the tickets when it was pointed out that all of the tickets included those numbers.

Dear Aunt - The loss of your cousin's son via OD is indeed a tragedy, but it is not *your* tragedy. Please stop vague-booking about needing prayers or your heart hurting as if it were. The family doesn't need you using this bit of senselessness to get attention.

He's an old timer with apparent passive aggressive tendencies. He's coming in to pay his bill today, and if it comes up again, I'm going to ask him if he's in the habit of calling the Sheriff on people. I'm also going to remind him about the 800# on his invoice which he can call to make payments. (He left 3 VM on my cell, and lord only knows how many on the LL which I have yet to check.)

Dear Dealership - You just did $3600 worth of work on my car. It should not be less safe to drive now than it was before I brought it in. Be happy you don't live in Michigan. I just read this and thought about your post:
"This is a wild case out of Michigan. If you’re a resident, turns out, a Michigan appeals court has decided a tire rotation service does not include tightening the lug nuts.
Not only is that illogical, but it also opens up a whole new arena for safety and legal issues..."
www.powernationtv.com/post/michigan-court-rules-tire-rotation-does-not-include-tightening-lug-nuts
Mind blown!!!
