Yeah, if I have time here at the office, I stay on the line until a human answers. The one yesterday was so rude, I reported the number (which came across caller ID) to donotcall.gov. Jaguar, I do the same thing with my cell phone, only it's set to vibe. If I don't recognize the number, they get the pleasure of my voice mail.

To the thousands who lined up at two local parks for food replacement assistance following Hurricane Irma, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FREAKING KIDDING?! The local TV news showed you lined up in your SUVs, with the perfect manicures, designer purses and jewelry. And no one wanted to talk to reporters because "many of those in line were taking the day off from work." No kidding. Whatever it takes for some free food. OK, I know some people do need the help. But the vast majority of my county had power back within four days. You all do know you have to provide proof of your losses, right? It's not just a free gubmint handout on top of food stamp assistance (people on food stamp assistance don't qualify for this - their food losses are already handled). Most of us live near enough to a food source (OK, maybe not a perfect one, like a supermarket). But we have neighbors, friends, relatives who help. Admittedly, gas was a problem. But four days, people! No one starved in four days. There were no reports of people dropping dead from hunger here after Irma. Schoolkids received free breakfasts and lunch at all grade levels for a month after the storm passed. Y'all do not make this state look good, just sayin.'

We had the same thing here. But what pisses me off are the kids at DD’s bragging about how much they are receiving and they didn’t lose anything close to the amount received.
I don’t think DD will ever ask me again about applying for the assistance. A 30 minuet tyraid and the look of death solved that question.
1. We don’t need the help 2. I didn’t lose hardly anything because I know better than to stock up during the summer

No land line here but I don't answer my cell phone if I don't recognize the number. People who really want to talk to me leave a message. If they don't, I google the number. Most end up getting blocked.

This is what happens when people start thinking those on welfare live better than those that work to support them. 🙁

I didn’t lose hardly anything because I know better than to stock up during the summer If it is government aid they are receiving they better beware. I have been reading a lot lately about FEMA demanding money to be paid back from victims of Katrina and Sandy (yes they are doing that now). And not just for overpayment but also because something was classified incorrectly and under that classification they weren't eligible. Even when they would have been eligible without that mistake, or the mistake was made by FEMA, the money is demanded back!
For the cheaters described above that is plain justice but there are some heart breaking situations out there

Dear insurance company, Thank you for your "save the date" notification for your seminar on insuring " high net worth successful families and individuals" (yes, they sent the notice with the crossed out and bolded wording ). High net worth individuals are not necessarily successful. Many simply inherited money, or acquired it in less than honest ways. Case in point: your CEO. Signed, molly

Dear store manager I interviewed with yesterday,
I had a great time at the interview, and I have to admit I've never said that during a job interview before. Thanks for having faith in me and giving me a shot. I think I will enjoy the experience.

Dear Brother,
You've become quite the Drama King. Knock it off. Tired of your BS.
With warmest regards, One of your three sisters.

Ugh! I may need to plug my ears when DH gets home tonight. Apparently, when the new flooring was put in our entryway, including the front closet, the winter boots were never put back in place. Fortunately, DD's boots were still in her car, and after going into the crawl space, I found DS's boots & mine, BUT, DH's boots are still missing, & he'll probably want to find them tonight, as we'll have an inch or two of wet sNOw on the ground by tomorrow morning. (Sadly, I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for him, as DH has a pattern of throwing stuff in the crawl space, even when I tell him it needs to be organized. Men!)

After telling him I understood about wanting to go with a family member, that I get it, my Dad is a CEO, blah blah, I then said, but then, some people don't like to mix family and business....

Finally got the thank you for the baby gift last night. Cousin's wife sent a friend request on FB which I accepted. Later in the evening she sent a picture of baby wrapped in the baby afghan and a sweet note.
Better late than never.

Dear Co-worker
Your snarky email was unnecessary. Like I told you when you asked me to make something happen I would pay the employee when I received proper authorization. Why don't you ask the person with the ability to give the proper authorization.
Signed

dear Google, WHY do you seem to think I'm in Austria, and default to google.at today? it's getting fucking old.... -chiver I somehow managed to set Chinese as the default for our cloud storage system. Apparently the last person on the computer has it set to Chinese and when I logged onto the cloud it decided to "help". I had to have my coworker translate so I could figure out where I needed to go to switch it back. That was a fun afternoon.

Later in the evening she sent a picture of baby wrapped in the baby afghan and a sweet note. Better late than never. In yesterday's mail, I received a lovely hand written note from my cousin. It did sound like he understood the significance of the baby afghan and that the gift to his daughter is the last gift from my mom to one of her nieces and nephews.

I don't think I'd be as pissed off about the thank you note if it weren't for mother of the bride being all pissy because her former daughter in law didn't write thank yous. Sending this general note without adding a personal comment is almost as bad as an emailed or texted thank you.

I have seen a few mosquitoes inside. We have had a hard frost so if they had stayed outside, they would be dead mosquitoes.
