I used to hate asparagus just because of the way my mom cooked it (boiled to death). Now I roast it in the oven, and I would eat it all day long. Same with brussel sprouts, carrots, zuchhini, and just about any other veg.
BS makes fun of me over the way I eat spaghetti. I eat the pasta with only Parm on it, then eat the sauce separately. I can't stand spaghetti and sauce together.
I will eat just about everything, but my favorites are a nice bloody steak, homemade bread, and dolsot bimimbap (Korean).
Conversely, I will not eat beets, liver, sweet pickles, or okra.

Lunch today was a roasted red beet salad with goat cheese crumbles and walnuts (no dressing). I love beets.

I love really weird foods that others seem to love to hate, including liver, organ meats in general, beef tartare, seafood in all its incarnations, uni, caviar, escargots, okra, things made from blood products like blood pudding, duck blood soup, etc. Yum! (I also derive a sick satisfaction from watching others cringe as I delight in my delicacies.) :-)
Dislike: 1)Cantaloupe. 2) Overripe bananas (I will happily eat them green though), and 3) sunny-side-up-eggs (the whites make me gag - childhood trauma). I'm not fanatical though... I will just eat around cantaloupe in a fruit salad, usually, and will choke down all three of my disliked foods on occasion. I don't really get people who won't eat anything that has touched or been in the same room as 'X'.
Food is delicious! :-)

Souther sweet tea is a diabetic coma in a bottle. My friend can only get hers sweet enough by boiling the tea THEN adding the sugar to make a super saturated solution. My teeth ache just thinking about it. There's a different way to make it? Really?!?! What do ya know, I learn something new every day. I've never had any luck getting sugar to melt in tea that was already cold.

Love: Cheese, chocolate, bread, nuts. Hate: Onions, olives, fish or seafood, melon, organ meats, eggplant, warm pickles. My onion hatred is especially strong so I always ask if they're included in a dish before I order anything. If cooked I might be able to pick them out, but raw forget about it

Phoenix, I think you need to get someone else to make you pumpkin pie if you think it tastes bland. Cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg are some strong spices.

Liver and onions with mashed potatoes and brussle sprouts might be my most favorite meal ever! I've loved liver since I was little Oysters= hell to the no!!! I used to love sushi, clams and squid and ever since having DS I can't touch the stuff because I will get violently ill Yucky! I am a foodie, but since pregnancy (4 1/2 years ago) I just can't eat all the stuff I once loved

I like most things but really dislike green olives (love the black ones), liver, eggplant, and mushrooms. Well, I do eat raw mushrooms in a spinach salad.
Love most fruits, veg, meat, seafood - like I said, most everything.

I think that I like pretty much everything that is bad for you...favorite cuisines would probably be Mexican and Italian. Love me some cheese and carbs. least favorite cuisine is Indian. I have tried it many times and I just don't like the spices. Of course, I could live off the naan...but that's just basically bread. Things I won't eat...brussel sprouts (and yes, I've had them with bacon....usually bacon fixes everything, but not brussel sprouts...at least not for me) or some of the organs that you all have mentioned (liver). I don't like cooked carrots, raw is fine. Don't really care for broccoli and dislike peas. The whole British mushy peas thing is a mystery to me.

Don't care for cilantro and fresh ginger(tastes like soap to me). Truly can't stand curry. Tastes and smells awful to me.

They are part of our traditional Christmas dinner........and once a year is quite often enough. Dislikes anchovies...yuk nasty salty sadine. likes bacon sandwich...or the smell of bacon frying. Should add that I don't like unleavened bread......Tortilla, pitta.... stuff like that. Its claggy and sticks to the roof of my mouth. Like bread that is light and crusty

A friend and I were talking about this today. I hate escargot, liver, and canned peas. Otherwise, I'm not too fussy. Love fruits and veggies, even brussel sprouts!

I love Italian food. And seafood. Grilled vegetables. Watermelon & liverwurst too. Japanese, Chinese & Thai. I hate turnip roots and I hate rutabagas a whole whole lot. But I love most baked goods and creamy desserts.
