Sprouts this week: Brown Cow yogurt (happy cows) 2/$1 - $0.35 IP for any Real California Dairy = $0.15 Freesalsa, I saw this, but most varieties of the yogurt have 20-26gms of sugar, so I skipped the deal.

So quiet so I will add a post.
Where do I start....well I got a 30% CVS in my e mail this week. Yay. I had $3 poise mq's so bought 5 I would have gotten more but its all they had. DH needed the aqua pur vasiline stuff so I got one large and one small, then a 64 count Tide a aqurafresh TP and that's about it. My total was in the $60's and after discounts etc I still had a huge $36 oop. I got Back $15 and at the borrom of the receipt there was a $10/$50. So I spend a fortune in CVS this week but Dh only uses that expensive gunk and I opened the cobwebbed wallet and paid out $36! Thank goodness I have been working the last few weeks. A young girl I work with is a WM shopper but wanted to hang with me at lunch so I took her along to CVS with me for the ride. She bought a huge ( to me) box of Huggies and I told her not to buy the similac as I had a 30% off and I would get it for her. But after she got the diapers....and scanned my green bag tag I lent her she got a 25% oyno! So she was thrilled to use the $2 ecb and the 25% to get a lower price on the milk. She has no clue how CVS works and said she wants to shop with me to try and learn. Its such a shame she has really missed the boat in the deals st CVS but now she knows for sure that you don't throw away your receipt with all the ecb's on!!!! Omg.

Hope, I forgot about a CVS $10.00 cash card I got quite some time ago. I came across it yesterday. . And, yes, CVS actually got me in there today. Like everyone else, I'm cherry picking my deals. The OOP per bag of M&M's. Yep. $2.00 machine coupon, the $1.50/off 2 4/28 RP insert, I was good with it. I have to admit, I like Folgers coffee. My buy it price is $5.99 (yes, high in other worlds, but I live in mine ) Anyway, my transaction: 2 M&M $5.00 - machine coupon, -$2.00, - $1.50 off 2 netted 2 bags of M&M's for $1.50. (I do not stockpile goodies) 2 Folgers @ $6.99 minus 2 IP $1.50 each was $10.98 Used the CVS Cash $10.00 OOP was $2.48 plus tax. I don't think you can go wrong with Coffee and M&M's. What surprised me (besides they had stock) was there was a person handing out Minute Clinic bags. It contained a "chip clip", a small first aid kit (wipes, bandaids), re-usable bag, and coupons for Zyrtec, Benadryl, Sudafed, Tylenol Sinus. Also contained an Abbot Labs booklet with coupons for Glucerna and Enusure. (I'm not seeing expiration dates on these?) Also included were CVS store coupons for CVS brand ointment, aloe vera, trail bix, sunscreen, coffee, nuts, toothbrushes and hand wipes. The CVS coupons expire 7-31. It was a surprising CVS trip. Otherwise, my "best" buy was at Meijer yesterday with a price mark down, M-Perks 5% off grocery netted (with $1.00 off peelies) Oscar Meyer hot dogs for $.47 cents per package. To all the Mom's, Happy Mother's Day!

Yep, its been a while since CVS got me in there too for a few deals. I can't get over how high my oop was. I looked at the receipt today again its its right. Oh I did forget to mention the cashier did not scan one of my $3/1 poise, so that takes it down to $33 she gave me the cash along with the huff and the good old eye roll. My op has been fairly high in CVS the whole year. I looked back through my online statements. But if I was still shopping WM without MQ's everymonth, it would be higher still and I would have less. I tried out K Mart last month trying to work out how to get deals in there. To me it didn't work out. I had to return undies that were the wrong size and they didn't seem to give me back all that I paid out? I put it down to me not knowing what I was doing in there and I'll probably give them a miss in future.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MY HOUND FRIENDS
We went to my sister's this morning for brunch. She had a big crowd with a lot of relatives from her DH's side. It ought to be a good time.
marvholly: Was that $.99 for 2 lbs of cheese that I read? Wow!! That's an amazing deal. I think I'd be stockpiling, shredding and freezing.
hopetoberich: I guess it's better late than never with CVS. It's been over 4 months since I've shopped there regularly, but from what I read on WUC, the days of constantly stockpiling for little to no OOP are gone. For those who have never CVSed, there are probably still some "decent" deals, so you can probably still help your friend, but you're right - it's doubtful that she will ever be able to shop the way that we were able to.
I've been through "lulls" before. From '03-'06, before the drug chain rewards hit my area, it was pretty much like it is today - a great deal here and there, but very very rarely an opportunity to stock up on anything for free. I'll continue to pick up my inserts, but I'm not using a whole heck of a lot these days.
It was great while it lasted, but I think we all knew that it wasn't going to last forever.

Happy Mother's Day!!! There a bunch of amazing moms here who know how to shop!
Yesterday at the farm stand I got a half-flat of ripe strawberries for the same price as the quart. I must be really off my game/out of practice because I completely forgot to look at how much a half-flat usually costs. I'm sure it was less than half-price. So I spent the day cutting up strawberries, freezing, blending. Still had some lemonade from last week so now it's strawberry lemonade. Yum!

NO! It is 0.99/8 oz = $2/lb = $4 to compare to the Safeway 2 lb deal that has NOT been on $5 Fridays for 2 months.

Off to work soon, but I hope to check out clearance in CVS tomorrow. Tuesday is the day they put out all the 50% & 75% stickers. I need to add food to the cupboards. I also will get to the grocery store and look for clearance on meat this week. Fingers crossed. Have a good week all.

Did one micro-deal at CVS on Friday:
Just to illustrate how small and intermittent my CVS shopping has become. Needed Olives the other day and had an RC for $0.88/can for the Lyndsay olives. Also has two $1/2 MCs. Got the CRT for $0.25 for the Kleenex.
5 cans * $0.88 = $4.40 Kleenex = $0.99 tax $0.08 - $1/2 MC - $1/2 MC - $0.25 CRT - $1 EB Total = $2.22(cleared with CVS GC)

The only thing I've done is to get $2 EBs for the GBT and spend them.

I assume that you'e still in possession of a number of the $10 GCs/money cards? I have some too which are good when something appealing comes along.

Well, so much for being excited about getting $8 in free ECB's from the end of the bag tag deal. I USED ONE AND ALL THE REST EXPIRED! I did not even look at the expiration dates and just assumed it was 2 weeks, like the bag tag EB normally was. NOPE, it was ONE WEEK! So, I am totally out of CVS...and have no plans to start back up. Buh-bye, was fun while it lasted...

I will use them to pay OOP when I redeem rain checks and/or the occasional emergency (which is extremely rare). I rather doubt I'll start doing deals again, but never say never.

Actually, CVS lost its "fun", for me, as early as the spring of 2012. After that it was "all business". I try to check the CVS forum on WUC from time to time to keep my finger on the pulse of what is happening there. From what I read, the party appears to be over.

I went to CVS today to use my ECBs on Jif peanut butter and they still didn't have any. They will be taking my expired greentag ECB because the manager knows I've been in checking to see if their shelves are stocked and she gave me her word.
At Kroger I spent $3.74 and got 4 jars of Vlassic pickle relish, 1 French mustard, 2 seafood snackers, 1 bag Vidalia onions 5 lb., 1 Sargento cheese slices and 1 Old Spice deodorant. Kroger card had a $1.00 store coupon on it and free Old Spice. I used printable coupons for the rest of the stuff.
Meijer has their buy 10 get 1 free this week. I got 22 items for $13.26, peppers, bread, buns, pretzels, sour cream, 2 liters of pop and 8 boxes Mueller pasta. I only had coupons for the pop and pasta. I remember getting pasta free a few years ago and now I'm glad I can get it for $.50 a box.
I will be price matching produce and bacon at Walmart later and then I'll be done for the week.

At Giant PA this week its buy 10 of certain brands get $10 off instantly. Well they have the tub's of Philly cream cheese on sale for $1.99 I bought 10and got them for 0.99 each. Good til November. The almond milk had $1/1 peelies on so I took 3 for $2.09 after mq. I'm fairly pleased with that. I only buy the cream cheese once a year or so on a decent sale. Its something at least.

Any time DS needs something at CVS, he reimburses me for use of one of my CVS cards. Today he wanted to get some juice, so I gave him a card that had not gotten the GBT yet. I told him to scan the card at the red machine, get his juice and the GBT EB. Then I had him get the M&Ms. So here's my "micro deal": $5.00 (2) Bags M&Ms with almonds (medium size) -2.00 $2/2 M&M CRT -2.00 GBT EB $1.00 OOP

I just spent down all of my EB's at CVS on all my cards (I was up to five!) and all my UP's at Rite Aid. Its been nice not having to worry about rewards expiring on me. But I might pick up these M&M's and then use the EB's to pay for some Skippy peanut butter next week ($2.50, $5 EB when you buy $15). I've been focusing most of my attention on sales at the grocery store. I've also been doing secret shopping and have found companies that do shops at ShopRite, Price Chopper and Stop & Shop so I try to do all my grocery shopping within the context of those shops. Love it! If anyone else is interested, Market Force has shops for A&P/Pathmark, ShopRite and Price Chopper: www.marketforce.com/ and Interactions Marketing has S&S: www.interactionsmarketing.com/services/shopper-insights-mystery-shopping.aspx. The shops generally pay around $10. In other news, I got engaged!! We picked out the ring together, so it wasn't a total surprise, I just wasn't sure when it would make its way onto my finger. We're not planning a wedding, we'll get married at town hall sometime over the summer and then go on our honeymoon in the fall.

Yes, the bag tag EB prints on your receipt the one last time, just make sure you use it right away, as I found out the hard way, it only had a 1 week expiration, not 2 weeks like normal. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to call corporate to complain as it never seems to make any difference when I do.

Hi, all! I'm very excited to leave tomorrow for DS's graduation in Tacoma, WA! Will look at some stores and see if I find any rebate forms, instead of getting them from ebay. Also like to visit the Brown & Haley outlet (Almond Roca!) to bring back. Anybody have any "must visit" ideas in the Seattle-Tacoma area?
Precious mentioned Aldi was having a sale on boneless chix for $1.69, plus they had a coupon in the paper for 10/50. Wish I had one here.
Free Salsa - so sorry I missed you, but you sound rejuvenated from your vacation! Frugalsuz - thanks for answering my question! Congratulations to you and your sweetie. I think you are pretty smart to skip the hulabaloo. So much drama involved. Sometimes I think, if we had used that money on our red ink, or a down payment on a condo (not that it was that much, but those expenses add up quick), hmmmmm. Oh, well. Aloha!

Hi hitenney! I did enjoy my vacation! Hopefully next time. Congratulations Frugalsuz!!!!! Fantastic news. You'll certainly save a lot of money by going to city hall. Hey, you can always throw yourselves a big party another day if you feel you've missed something. Saves hassles too.

I found kraft peelies on the slice pack this week. Also $1/1 peelies on Blue Diamond almond milk. I didn't see any blinkies anywhere though.

Frugalsuz Congrats. See you are planning a 'no drama' wedding - even better.
I have got to remember to look ahead when I do a RR deal at WAG. Had a $3 RR from the extended Planters PB deal. Has been NOTHING I wanted. Used it on some office supplies. Not too terribe since the PB was only $2 after coupon & that is generally what I bought costs during back to school.
I LOVE my CVS mgr. The lightest roast Folgers (Country?) was on special week of 4/23 for $6.99. Had a $1.50 mfg coupon & the $2 GBT EB. i sort of felt the coffee would be too mild for me & have not needed to open it yet. This week the medium & dark roasts are on sale for the same price. He let me trade in the light for the dark roast w/NO hassle.

Thanks ladies! I'm excited to make things official and then to start planning our honeymoon! I'm thinking we'll do a northeast roadtrip in the fall going up to Canada and stopping on the way up and down in Vermont, Boston and some other places. Can't wait!

Deals are pretty dry here right now- but I had one that you guys would have loved the other day. Our store doesn't give overage, so you have to make sure you break even or spend it on other product. I was having company and frozen pizza was the order of the day:
Pizzas were not on sale.
6 to feed 6 ind serving pizzas @$1 ea $6 (non taxable) 3 $2 off your next grocery order coupons that were about to expire Total OOP- $0
I happened to have some toppings in the fridge for anyone who didn't like cheese pizza

I'm glad I read the post about the green bag tag expiring mine was up today and I would never have known. I got 2 four packs of the vanilla pudding on sale for $1 each and called it even. I couldn't eat it it has too much milk, but DH. can have some. I roasted a huge to me 12lb Turkey breast I got a month ago from Pricerite for $12. It was a manager special and I got the last two 12lb ones. Pricerite has great prices on loads of things so I go there when I can. Oh and the clearance on Tuesday at CVS was no good this week. I'll try again next week.
