Limericks are by far the best way to insult people. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/nerdy.png) There once was a poster named steve, who declared in a rage that he'd leave. We said "What a shame," but then broke out champagne. He found that an odd way to grieve. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png)

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

I dont believe you are able to understand what you are saying. It is always a mistake on my part to try and have any kind of dialogue with you. Oh, I understand what I'm saying quite well. After all, I'm the one saying it. People understand what they, themselves, are saying even if others don't.

BTW, I think Virgil's post of examples was to point out there are some very rude things that are allowed to exist on the message board per the CoC. Absolutely! If we tried to prevent every possible form of rudeness, we couldn't have a message board. Instead, what moonbeam has elected to do, and the rules that are used to guide these boards, are in keeping with ProBoards' ToS, and serve to help prevent open warfare on the forums. People are going to disagree. They can do so civilly, and we try to maintain that goal. What folks might think of some public figure will differ from person to person, and that's fine. Public figures take abuse because they put themselves out there for abuse. Individual posters don't need to be abused and it isn't allowed here. If it's seen, or Reported, it will be removed.

The opposite is true, as far as I'm concerned. "I disagree with your last statement, Larry, and this is why." is a much more effective way to disagree than "You're a dumbass". But "You're a dumbass" is less wordy and much more satisfying! ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/tongue2.png) To answer Steve's questions. They are both douche bags in your example. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/grin.png)

But the riposte I'd saved was so much more depraved: I called her a snowy leopard. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/grrr.png)
