Conservatives live in reality, RINOs, Politicos, liberals, Democrats, LIVs, et al all live in an alternate universe informed entirely by a political agenda- if it helps, it's aired. Since he seems to love playing person #1 in Steve's thread scenario on a regular basis I have to struggle sometimes not to be person #2. No one, absolutely zero zippo, IMHO live in "reality". Because there isn't such a thing in an absolute sense. We all live in our own realities shaded by our perceptions. And having lots of people agree on one point doesn't necessarily make it more true or "real". Think of things like the earth revolves around the sun, etc. To be fair, there are some people who don't bury or hide things they can't explain. They tend to be not very dogmatic no matter where on the political spectrum they fall. |

While we might have those here who think of themselves as pundits, the real McCoy is not in residence on these message boards. Just a buncha wannabes. Don't know anyting about Stephanie but I have seen Maddow's show before. Mad lefty isn't it. Rush is an angry dickhole- that is part of his persona- if he doesn't have a pulsing vein while delivering his lame spiel then it doesn't work. Maddow doesn't use outrage- she just has a flabbergasted take on things and occasionally if it is a major issue it is just a matter of fact take with a little disgust thrown in. Makes sense though- if you don't have the facts go with emotion- and his whole show relies on it. If someone called me a dittohead I would be insulted- why aren't his listeners? Yeah- whatever he says- that works for me- why bother thinking for myself. I'll give him this- he knows his audience and has made a killing being that in tune to it. No one will ever know his real opinions on a lot of things because his bank account relies on them being one way. He's like Howard Stern or Dice Clay. He is a character. |

Funny thing about the ACLU- they have a set mission that never changes no matter who or what they defend- and at times it is the worst of us. That they are ridiculed as a left wing group is an indictment on the intelligence of the idiots that keep claiming it. Every time a right wing media type takes a jab at the ACLU is proof of their ignorance- which naturally is respewed by their devotees. IMO if someone has a problem with the ACLU they have a problem with freedom.
