Bought EVHC (Envision Healthcare) @$38/share from the earnings beat MRQ with recent upward estimate revisions screen. This gets me back to fully invested (about 3.5% cash).

bought SMH (semiconductors etf) @%98.5 when the 5-day SMA crossed above the 200-day SMA. I am hoping this recent corrections was only a test of the 200-day. If the 5-day crosses back below the 200-day I will sell.

Sold CNC (Centene Corp.) @122.50 for a gain of about 14.5% in 19 weeks. I bought this from the earnings beat MRQ with recent upward estimate revisions screen. It is about fairly valued at this point and it no longer meets the upward estimates standard. I want some new stocks going into the next earnings season.

Off topic long term buy
Today I begin a new portfolio of stocks focused on producing dividends at a later date. I am not anticipating needing the income for 15+ years. I will add to the portfolio each quarter by adding to a current holding or opening a new position. I am looking for a yield higher than its historical yield, a low payout ratio, and increased earnings estimates. I am sorting the screen by 5yr compounded dividend growth. At this time I will cap the investments to a particular position at four quarters.
Bought CDW(CDW Corp.) @ $83.47. The current yield is only 1% but with 100% 5yr Compound dividend growth I am hoping for this to be a very good dividend producer after 15 years or so.

Bought DAL (Delta Airlines) @$54.00 on Wed. (8/1/18) from one of my favorite value screens. I believe it also crossed above some trendline resistance. When I buy positions from this screen I hold until I no longer think they are a value.

Sold DLA (Delta Apparel) @$18 for a loss of 4.4%. The earnings estimates were lowered after the last earnings report. I'll start looking for something with upward estimate revisions.

Sold HZNP (Horizon Pharmaceuticals) for a gain of 34.5% in almost six months. Their midyear report was not good but even though my rules said sell I held on because the price action after the initial loss looked very good. The last report was OK but I decided to book the profit when the price was near 21 today. The stock has not met the criteria I use for a hold in several months. I will be looking for a replacement but at this time I don't have a likely candidate in mind.

Sold KBH (KB Home) @$25.95 for a gain of 29.9% in about 17 months. They will report this week and it no longer meets the criteria of the recent upward estimate revisions screen. The current valuation looks cheap but I would be less mad at myself for missing out on future gains over losing money after this week's earnings announcement.

Off topic long term buy
Bought more CDW @ $82.45 (reference Jul 10, 2018 post). This is a long term strategy and I will either add more CDW or start a new position next quarter.

Sold VDE (energy etf) for a loss of less than 0.1% in one year. The 5-day SMA crossed below the 200-day SMA. I should have sold last week by my strategy on Tue. or Wed. but I had distractions at work.
