One could say the same to you. I take some small measure of comfort in not being the first one to denigrate the postings of an 'opponent' in an exchange... again... that seems to happen a lot with you... can't win any other way... take a pick-ax to a reasonably serious conversation and mess it up... seems to be your M.O... then again, given the range of ammunition you oftentimes bring to the table, I can see why you resort to such, so frequently. Your problem, not mine.  |

Tony-I thought most Christians said the Old Testament and the laws of Leviticus are for the Jewish people and the New Testament rules are for Christians. Why do so some folks always mention Leviticus when all those rules only apply to the Jews?
I'm curious-do you eat pork? Do you wear blended fibers? Do you cut your hair or trim your beard?

Isn't the bible all about interpretation anyway? No one knows what the heck the original writers were really trying to prove in some of the stories because of the language of them, and those writers aren't around to explain it. I read the bible as literature in high school and we all had conflicting ideas about some of the passages and their meanings, so I can't fathom why some people live their life by a book, when they don't even know what the absolutes are.

My florist stayed and made sure all the groomsmen were perfect, and my girls and I were all set, and waited until the ceremony started to make sure everything looked right in the facility, etc. So, my florist was practically a fluffer.

And that because there are inconsistencies, or because there are aspects which even the Societies which fostered and followed those texts have set aside, that the condemndations-in-question must ALSO be set aside? One does not necessarily follow the other, I fear. And you're running up against just such an B-does-not-necessarily-follow-A scenario. Or so it seems to me. |
