fantastic for me was the weather this past weekend. the wind was banging on the windows. so I opened one window in each room. the wind was blowing around this apartment like a horse race track! I snuggled under my think blanket pulled up to my chin and pasted out to sleep, for hours!

Question: do you find bad weather comfortable? (rain, windy, snow, etc.)

If I can stay home, I kind of love grey, rainy days.  It really makes me wish I had a fireplace. And, they can make for some nice moody photography if you're into that.

Fantastic over the weekend...  My son got his Mosin Nagant and "Sniper training rifle" from my (ex)BIL.  He was pretty excited about that, so that was nice to see.  Now he's got to clean them up so he can go shooting.

Is there anything you're looking forward to this month?

yes! the actual answer is yes I have 3 to maybe 4 personal situations I am looking very forward to clearing up this month.

Question: how many chairs at your dining room table at home?

The formal dining table has 8 chairs and one 2 seat deacons' bench, but actually around the table is 6 chairs.  The only time we use this table for dining is during the holidays and friends come over for a meal.  Otherwise I keep a table cloth on it with some phony flowers to give some color.

Do you have anything in your home that is solar?  Water heater?  Exterior lights? etc

Exterior lighting, yes.  And we've been discussing solar panels.  We'll see.


How sensitive are you when someone brings you bad news?

It really depends on the bad news.  Some I can handle really well, and roll with it, others I can usually keep composure, while it's tearing me up, until I can go somewhere in private and deal with my grief (if it's a grief issue).  Some may just make me angry though, and that can have a wide response, from "well, can't do much about that, so I have to get over it" to immediately plotting my next move/revenge...

Have you tried any new recipes lately?

Yes!  There is a video out there for cucumber "subs."  Peel and halve a cucumber, scoop out the seeds, and fill it with whatever combination.  Yesterday for lunch I had the turkey, bacon, and guacamole combo.  NOM NOM NOM. 



You have an hour all to yourself.  How do you spend it?

Work on a cross-stitch Christmas stocking.  Hoping I can get two of them done by the holidays.

I love to cook, so my favorite restaurant meal is something I can't or won't make for myself. 


has spring sprung where you live?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say yes.  Kinda?     It snowed Friday night, and was still on the ground up at our house the next day.  However, it was in the 60's by Saturday afternoon.  I finally pulled my scarf and gloves out of my work tote this AM, and switched to shoes instead of ankle boots. 



Are you going to participate in any sort of community spring clean-up this year?

I don't think we do that in my town, so no to a community clean-up. but, I am working on what is turning out to be a larger project than expected in my own yard. I'm removing the mulch in my flowerbeds in favor of a sandscape. I have sea grass and hydrangeas planted, and I'm half a mile from the beach.....duh. no-brainer that is lower maintenance than refreshing the mulch each year! however, I'm discovering a rat's nest of rhododendron roots at one corner, buried under a pile that I want levelled out. ugh.....but I'm determined! 


what are you looking forward to most as the weather continues to warm up?

Ok! since you asked? Honestly! As the weather warms up. I am looking forward to the women getting dressing dam near naked!

low V-Neck tops, blouse or shirt unbuttoned down to the base of her bra, mid thigh mini skirts, ETC.

Question: is ice cream a nice treat all year round?

I don't eat ice cream often, but I'll eat it any time of year.

Have you ever had a beer milkshake? (Stout beer with chocolate ice cream is really good.)

yes! I have. but with that said. I have had or tried beer and ice cream about 2 decades ago when I had friends and college.

question: is your home mirror more flattering compared to a store mirror?

It depends on the lighting. 


How many power strips are in your home?  DH has at least 5 in the house and in his garage.  Told him if there's ever a fire, they'll probably be the cause.

We have 5 in the computer room, 3 M bed, 3 sewing room, 2 family room, one garage.  If the correct ones are used they are extensions of house wiring.  Putting power where needed and not where the home builder decided to put them by local code.  House electronics are 6 volt and low amps so don't draw much.  The power strips when in use usually have at max 2 items being used at the same time.  If you have the right ones, I don't see a problem.



How is the allergy season hitting you? ............ My head is pounding and plugged.  Glad when all the blooms are gone ..... but egads ....... cactus blossoms are beautiful

actually, so far, allergy season is going good for me.

do you play any games on your cell phone?

My cell phone serves one purpose AAA if needed. I have enough electronic addictions without the phone being another - buuuuutttttt that could change soon

Do you sing along with music while in your car??

On rare occasions.  But for a while I sang constantly in the car.  I started singing in a bar band (new experience for me) and I had an hour's drive to my day job each day.  So practicing new songs in the car made use of idle time.

At first I was self-conscious about the looks I'd get.  Later, when I no longer cared, it seemed I got a lot of smiles along with the looks.

Question: What do you envy most about the opposite gender?

What color is your hair?

The color or my hair depends on which box is on sale

Do you color your hair?

I do color my hair, with highlights and lowlights.  I used to do the box color, semi-permanent, and then one time I was carrying the bottle from the bathroom to the kitchen to put it in the trash and on the way I dropped it on an expensive rug.  I cleaned what I could see.  About an hour later there were some color spots on the rug.  They sort of blend in now and have faded, but I thought it was a sign that I should do that sort of stuff outside the house.  So now I pay someone. 


Do you plant a vegetable or flower garden, or do container gardening?  Or is that not your thing?

Going to try this year for the first time in several years.  The house we bought last year has 3 raised beds with bench type seating around it, so it should be good on my back.

Both. Although on water I much prefer tubing, especially with a multi-person tube. I used to have one of these:



Snow skiing was my absolute favorite outdoor activity. Alpine, that is. Plenty of exercise with cross-country but far less exciting.

My motto was: If I hadn't crashed three times during the course of the day, I hadn't learned anything new.

I missed my chance at the perfect bride. Apparently she's already taken.

Not sure.  To me it's another Sunday.  DD and hubby live out of state and both g-dtrs will be elsewhere.  DH will probably want to take me out for dinner but I'm not sure where to go.  Maybe a casino buffet?



We just had our windows washed and we can see outside without a layer of dust from the yard clean-up a couple of days ago.  What is the condition of your windows from the winter whatever?
