All of the news reports say nothing good ever happens. I hate to turn on the TV news any more because all they can talk about in the morning is how many people got killed over night ......... and how many car wrecks are tying up the freeways for people going to work. I watch news to get weather reports and somehow hoping there will be some good news.
It's heartbreaking what some people do to others.
What happened in my life last week was a great choir practice, but other than that it was fairly normal. Things like laundry, groceries, church. This coming weekend will be the same. .......... Very boring life but it's my life.
Any home improvement projects in the works for you?

Yes, the short (long!?) list: Repaint the downstairs bathroom, buy and hang towel holders throughout the house, spackle nail holes from the previous owners, paint the kitchen cabinets, floor trim and door trims throughout the house, and eventually replace the flooring throughout the entire house, starting with the main floor. And boy, looking at this list actually written down sucks!
What's up this weekend?

I have two sets per bed. In my spare bedroom, I have two twin beds that I push together or separate depending on who's visiting. I have two king sheet sets, and two double sheet sets that I use when the beds are separate. At my old place, all the guest bedrooms had double beds, and I'm too cheap to get the proper sized sheets.
What do you do to get started when you're in procrastination mode?

I procrastinate till the mode passes. But sometimes I say OK dimwit let's get it done. I have been know to set timer for one hour and work nonstop for that hour - stuff like housework, nothing important though.
Are you a highly organized person or just fly by the seat of your pants kinda person??
Anyone want to guess which one I am??

I'm highly organized. Except for my closets. And drawers. OK, I am highly organized for some things.
QUESTION: Are you usually early, on time, or late for things?

Depending on the event, occasion I am a tad early but always on time. I grew up with being left if I wasn't on time. And I think people who are chronically late are saying to everyone else "see I am so important that you waited on me"
Have you ever shown up for something on the wrong date?

Pretty sure I have shown up for something on the wrong date, but it wasn't catastrophic. I can't even remember an example.
What do you do/how do you handle it when you get together with someone who is chronically late? (I completely agree that they are saying to everyone else that their time is more important than yours.) I have had to put my foot down and draw boundaries at times.

It was my DH, and we needed to leave at X time in order to go meet my family (including my CEO FATHER) for dinner an hour away. I left the house without him, and drove past him two streets from our house. Yes, I went back to get him (only because it didn't make sense to waste that much fuel by taking two vehicles, I'm frugal what can I say), and yes, I was hella pissed. But, he's gotten better at time management since then.
Are you a social planner? Meaning, do you set up coffee dates, lunch appointments, a time to go walking or dog park, etc. with friends?

The last wedding we attended was my D-g-dtr about 8 years ago. She now has two kids and they seem to be doing well.
Any out-of-country plans for this vacation time?

Current passport, but no immediate plans to use it.
Continuing the travel theme here: has the world or national situation made you reconsider your upcoming travel plans? Will you avoid certain places out of an overabundance of caution, or boycott certain cities or states or venues because of things that have happened?

The national situation has not made me reconsider, but I do have extra concern. I'm scheduled to go to Chicago this summer. I'll be staying well away from the dangerous areas and even away from downtown, but the crime does extend outside those areas. I'll be staying in an area that's about as safe as any area in Chicago can be, so I'll hope for the best.
Continuing the travel theme: Do you have a bucket list of travel destinations?

It's empty! But, that is because I just had it renewed. The previous passport had stamps from four different European vacations. It would have been packed if you still got stamped in every country in the EU though.
I have hit most places on my travel bucket list, so I just add to it. Mostly, I see a really cool photo and tell myself I want to see that, so it makes the list.
Global issues have changed desired travel plans, not just currently, but for the last several years. I've always wanted to see Egypt, as well as some other areas, but feel like I missed a window and now will wait until things in those areas die down.
Out of country plans-- none in the works currently, but if I find cheap flights that land on my two weeks off, I'm going wherever the flights lead. Travel is a bit on the back burner while I save money for DS's college and my eventual new house build, but I do still set aside money each month so I can go if I get the opportunity.
I've only been to three weddings as an adult-- my younger brother's, a then-sister-in-law's, and my sister's second wedding. They were more than three years ago.
Not a social planner, usually on time, just a couple weeks ago I thought I'd finally get to go to a photography club meeting after a year of not being able to go, and then realized it was the wrong Monday. Procrastination mode? If you find the secret, let me know. At work I'm highly organized, at home, not so much. No home improvement stuff, but I do need to fix my bathroom floor.
If you were to travel somewhere just for the food/drinks/candy, where would you go?

Italy. For the food and the scenery.
I haven't gained a pound in the past 12 months.
How's your food program?

I'm down 10 pounds since Jan 2nd. I need to ease up on the cocktails. How often do you splurge, whether it's on food, an expensive expenditure, etc?

Too often! I probably spurge on something every couple months. Sometimes it's not even anything expensive, just something I don't need. Today's mini-splurge came in the form of 10 records ($1 each). I found a couple my son will listen to as well, and right now we have "The Ink Spots" singing away while he is making dinner. The Christmas splurge is going to be finally "realized" when we go see Hamilton this weekend Any bands you wish could do one last show? (even if they have to come back from the dead to do it...)

Peter, Paul & Mary ........ Mary passed several years but I really enjoyed the folk style music of the 60s. My DH Bill and I saw them in concert at Gammage Auditorium on ASU campus many years ago. Wonderful.
I still have original, often played LPs from that era. I can actually understand the words in the songs.
Coffee, Tea, Soda, Water?

nah! never liked the practical jokes! but with that said: I just read a April fools joke that I find so funny! A lady entered a contest to win a Toyota! car. But when she was brought to her prize! she was given a Toy Yoda doll a character from the Star Wars movie franchise. get it!? so of course she didn't find it funny as people around her were laughing! she hired a lawyer and got a car! Question: have you had the experience of being laughed AT?

Question: have you had the experience of being laughed AT? Does a wild bear . . . In other words, yes. Sometimes it's because I'm just clowning around, sometimes because I say things that come out wrong. I really don't mind someone enjoying a laugh at my expense. When was the last time you told your mother you love her?

Not a person, a few people.
I work with mostly young Moms. When I hear about the kid play dates they arrange and see on FB how much the kids are having fun, I actually feel pain in my heart. I miss my babies.
So when my children are all home for dinner, and goofing on each other, and behaving as if there isn't a thing wrong with the world, I smile so big my cheeks hurt.
Do you have a gun in the house?

In your area of the country, do you have a 'wrong way' driver problem?
I'm seeing more of this in other areas besides here .......... Horrible
